"Hmph! Not after you were done with whatever bruised you down there." Belzo comments, stopping his pacing to smirk at Doremor until his eyes fell upon the thighbone. At that, he tilted his head to the side and rubbed at his forehead. "Do I.... No. No I do not. I just hope it... does you well." He fails to even try to hide the lack of confidence behind his voice, the matter of dealing with strahd still looming overhead. "Before our host gets too impatient, a question for all. Do we try to make our stand here? Or do we seek him out? Either way, we may be dealing with his other minions, but at least one comes with the illusion of 'taking command' of the situation."

"And there are limits to being overly confident. Even if the same scenario plays over again and again." Belzo gives an agreeing nod, then looks over to Winter, torn between two thoughts. "Tarry too long, and he may even send the hounds. Question is, where should we even start? Mister Doremor? Any ideas?"He asks, but his eyes stayed glued on Winter, assuming she hadn't disappeared at some point.
Religion: 11. (to recall lore on what happens to spawn after the turning vamps dies)
Belzo knows from his life of research on the Shadowfell and other unpleasant subjects that any vampire spawn that might remain after the demise of the vampire who created them are not returned to their mortal form or released to the next world, but continue to remain as free vampire spawns.

Doremor shrugs and begins to lead the party back to the crypts, resummoning Gertrude as he does so, "I don't recall seeing his mother's tomb, but it would probably be down there."
Belzo comes close to hanging back, the temptation to eliminate a "future problem"to them, if not the land gnawing at him. Seeing the others eager, if not simply determined, to hunt, he represses a heavy sigh, and follows along after the others.

Samael follows Fae and Doremor's lead. Gripping the platinum hilt of the Sunsword in his hand, shield on his other arm, he walks along, determined to see this to an end.
"I don't like this," says Hadrian. "Strahd invited us here. It's not like he wouldn't be ready for us." He follows alongside Samael despite his hedging.
As he walks, he continues equivocating. "I haven't seen any good omens from the gods for this mission. We could have more tools at our disposal. Vampires fear sunlight, and had I the proper focus, I could call forth that power. But I doubt I'll find that here. And if anyone should fall, I do not have the resources to bring you back from death's door."
Hadrian casts glances around as he walks, shield at the ready.
Doremor, you're able to find a path in the crypts that you weren't looking for the last time, as you and Fae were rushing to find the Tome and the Sunsword and didn't want to get in a duel with Strahd. It leads you all to another area in the east. Wide steps descend to a landing flanked by two alcoves. Within each alcove, taking up the full thirty-foot height of the ceiling, is a bronze statue of a warrior holding a spear. A soft blue curtain of light flows between the two alcoves. Dimly visible on the other side of the curtain are more descending stairs

Doremor, you sneak past the curtain and down the stairs.
This tomb rests in hushed silence. Tall, stained glass windows dominate the eastern walls, allowing dim light to fall on two coffins resting atop white marble slabs. The one against the north wall is marked King Barov von Zarovich, and the one against the south wall is marked Queen Ravenovia van Roeyen. The vaulted ceiling thirty feet overhead is inlaid with a beautiful gold mosaic. Strahd paces around the tomb in a frenzy of rage and despair.

Creeping back out, Doremor tells the group of what he learned, "Hadrian, prepare your spell. It's the real deal this time. I will provide cover, give me the word to drop it once you are ready."
Once Hadrian is almost ready to cast the spell, Doremor casts Fog Cloud at second level in the corridor. After Hadrian gives him the ready signal, Doremor drops the spell.
"Hold it for a moment more, Mr. Doremor, and I may yet provide you the form to maintain for more than swipe from the bastard." Belzo mentions. "Granted.. you may want more room before I do so. Tight spaces don't exactly agree with it." He mentions, but as soon as he receives an answer, he takes a moment sort through his thoughts for what may be the final time. "On the leave of the rest of you."
