Fighting off the last of the rot trolls was dangerous work, and though the brave adventurers and inhabitants in and around Leilon managed to eventually defeat them, Wakka did not leave the encounters unscathed. Growing a bit too cocky after their previous victories, Wakka was too careless in their last fight and took a nasty blow to the head! Though he managed to survive with his head intact, barely, it was the disease the following day that caused him way more headaches - literally! Bedridden for days as the combination of his wounds and the disease left hindered Wakka's ability to recover, by the time his health began to turn around for the better, he was emancipated and weaker than he had ever felt in his life.
But with Leilon saved and the party sticking around for the foreseeable future, Wakka used this period to train. Spending almost every waking hour he wasn't eating or resting working on his body and his craft, he eventually pushed himself past his previous limits and felt more confidant than ever that he could handle any challenge thrown his way (especially if his friends there there help!) (Using level 8 for the Tough feat). Eventually, having seen Wakka train everyday, various townsfolk asked to be instructed by the fighter and began to split his time between training himself and instructing anyone interested in learning how to better defend themselves.
(After being tasked with a new quest!)
"Leave it to us!" Wakka replied to Grizzelda. Wakka was a well-built man of above average in height and dark skin and hair, typically in fancy looking leathers with a rapier on his hip and a glowing shield and axe on his back; at the moment, he was dressed simply in common cloth he wore while training and instructing the villagers. Looking towards Manny and the new members of the guild - members who's name he hadn't quite learned yet - he added, "Horses do sound quite nice but I'm also fine walking. Either way, I'm fully recovered and ready to set off on another adventure! I will need to grab my stuff though before leaving. Meet at the gate in an hour?"
Manfred nods to Wakka. ‘Will you get my pack too, it’s all ready to go?’ and then looks up at Valdi with a mixture of relief (at not having to walk) and horror (horses!).
‘I can’t say I know how to ride one of those beasts… Perhaps you could furnish us with a carriage, or a wagon at least?’
As the party is gathering their equipment and preparing to leave town, the group of settlers dispatched earlier returns, without the goods they were sent to retrieve. The group is soaking wet, and one of the larger carts is being pulled by one horse instead of two.
One of the two soldiers that was accompanying the caravan reports that when the group got within a mile of the inn, the weather became so violent they couldn’t continue. The driving rain, fierce winds, and hailstones the size of apples impeded progress to a crawl, and then one of the horses was struck by lightning and killed. When they retreated just a few hundred yards back down the High Road toward Leilon, the weather was perfectly calm again. The group decided not to risk trying to complete the journey to the inn, but the other soldier sent to guard the caravan agreed to stay and keep an eye on the situation. (Any other actions before the party sets off to the Inn? And yes, you can get a cart for one of the horses that two of you can ride in, and two other horses individually saddled.)
When you are ready and on your way to the Wayside Inn:
After an hour or two of riding, you are about a mile away from the Inn. A wall of storms surges and howls in the distance. The sunny, mild weather gives way immediately to rain and hail, violent winds, and electrical discharges. Passing in and out of the wall are three figures in plate armor, each swinging a flail at a lone figure in splint armor wielding a longsword. The lone fighter, taking on the three in plate, wears the emblem of the Leilon garrison.
You are 100 feet away from the melee...Roll Initiative and post your action in a spoiler!
Initiative 13 Tallow fires magic missile 1st level at all three of the plate mail 3 each to try to get their attention and call them away from the guard.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Genren will pull out his longbow aiming towards the nearest enemy: Attack: 21 Damage: 10
with his bonus action he will take cover within the trees using his slippers of spider climbing to get atop the obscured branches closing the distance a bit (35ft of movement) (or behind the cart if there aren't any trees available) and takes the hide action. Stealth roll: 15
(Nope after getting his and Manny's stuff, Wakka is all set to go!)
Seeing the lone fighter fending off the three men by themselves, Wakka pulled out his magical axe and got a running start before leaping into the air and landing next to (or if possible on) one of the three enemy knights. He'd then give the surrounded knight an encouraging nod before preparing to clash with plated figures.
Action: Dash
Bonus Action: Psi powered Leap
As a bonus action, you can propel your body with your mind. You gain a flying speed equal to twice your walking speed until the end of the current turn. Once you take this bonus action, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest, unless you expend a Psionic Energy die to take it again.
Reaction: Protective Field. (If the Leilon knight gets attacked, Wakka would use one Psionic Energy Die to shield them and reduce the damage they receive by 6)
When you or another creature you can see within 30 ft. of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to expend one Psionic Energy die, and reduce the damage taken by 1d8+3.

Initiative Order: Genren : Special : Tallow : Manfred : Wakka(?) : Plate Mail (x3) : Leilon Guard
Genren sends a quickly shot arrow downrange, missing the armored figures completely. He then hides behind the horse and wagon (no trees close to the path, and the Inn is in an open field.)
The storm is slowly expanding - you see the edge has moved about 5 feet closer to your position!
Tallow sends a force projectile at each of the metal plated enemies, each slamming into its target. He then moves 30 feet closer.
Manfred focuses on the greater threat - the storm. (Make a DC12 Arcana or DC15 Nature check to determine the weather was magically summoned but is not itself magical - therefore the Dispel Magic spell will not have any effect here. If you make the check you save the spell slot and may choose another action =)
Wakka literally takes a flying leap, landing next to the Leilon guard just at the edge of the storm.
Two of the armored creatures come out and attack the two fighters just outside the edge of the storm, swinging metal flails with brutal power. The third stays just inside the storm's edge.
Wakka recognizes the plate mail from their first visit to the Wayside Inn...
The Wayside Inn's smith was a strapping woman called Teega, who could wield a hammer in each hand like a titan. Her anvil was forged in the shape of a dolphin, and at night she drank at the bar with the other patrons. She wore a set of bronze bracers shaped like three lightning bolts, and she proudly displayed three suits of plate armor that she created, each bearing the same symbol as the design of her bracers.
The guard swings back at her assailant! Longsword Attack #1: 14 Damage: 9 :: Longsword Attack #2: 25 Damage: 12 :: Shortsword Attack: 13 Damage: 5
Round 1 Redux: Spotting the nature of the storm, Manfred halts his casting in time and instead dashes towards the fray, travelling 50 feet to reach around 50 feet from the action… ‘Normal storm.. Ritual summoned…’ he shouts breathlessly as he runs. ‘Need more exercise…’he mutters, wheezing.
Genren, frustrated with himself pokes his head out from behind the cart and takes aim at their foes once again (including steady aim and elven accuracy with this shot) Attack: 15 Damage: 9 Elven Accuracy Roll: 24
Sneak attack damage: 9
He will then take his bonus action to dash towards the enemies swapping out his bow for his shortswords skipping quickly through the field. "Oye Manny, we can work on your fitness when we get back!" he chuckles as he prepares to engage.
Genren's elven training kicks in, allowing him to better time the movements of the enemy (#1) battling the Leilon guard and sends a magic-laced arrow into the space between plates! He then moves forward and prepares for melee.
The storm continues to advance, expanding towards the group another 5'...
'Go get 'em, Wakka!'shouts Manfred, his voice unusually resonant... (1d8 bardic inspiration for Wakka) He then glares at one of the enemies (enemy 3), hurling a rapidly accelerating acidic sphere in his direction.

"I'm working on it!" Wakka replied back after hearing Manny's encouragement before turning to the knight and asking if she was alright. He then took his axe and began to hack away at Soldier #2.
Reaction: Protective Field. (If the Leilon knight gets attacked again, Wakka would use another Psionic Energy Die to shield her and reduce the damage they receive by 9)
Tallow moves 10 more feet so that he is about 55ft from the attackers. He pulls his wooded spoon from his apron and points it at the enemy #2 and shouts "How bout a little creme brule, you mutha****er!" fire bolt bursts from his arcane focus. Attack: 19 Damage: 13
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tallow hurls a firebolt at the one enemy hanging back in the storm's edge, scoring a hit.
Manfred launches a small sphere of acid at another enemy, but it is able to avoid it. As he thinks about countering the storm, he recalls the storm over Leilon and how it was conjured by the tiefling cult priestess. Likewise, this storm probably has someone, or something, as a focus.
Wakka is locked in melee with the third attacker , hitting it once and just missing the second strike. He keeps a watchful eye on the Leilon guard, trying to shield her from the attacks.
All three of the armored assailants engage the two intrepid warriors - two of them facing off against (1 :: Guard=odd; Wakka=even) They each make one massive, electrically-charged strike!
#1 vs Guard Attack: 18 Damage: 29 -Miss!
#2 vs ? Attack: 9 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. - Miss!
#3 vs Wakka Attack: 13 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. - Miss!
The Guard continues her attack vs the first creature.

Genren rushes towards his foe as he gracefully slides on the wet ground closing the gap between himself and the skirmish as he whips out both of his short swords and takes two stabs in quick succession aiming for his enemies exposed vitals (Enemy #1)
First attack: Attack: 18 Damage: 6
Second attack: Attack: 18 Damage: 6
Sneak attack if applicable: 16
"Care if I join the party?! Let's end this quickly Wakka"
(What does the storm look like? e.g. how high does it extend / does it look like it’s ‘solid’ or established like a protective ring? How much can Manfred see through it? He’ll be moving forward 25 feet, but his specific action will probably depend on the answers…)
Storm visual - "A wall of storms surges and howls in the distance. The sunny, mild weather gives way immediately to rain and hail, violent winds, and electrical discharges."
The storm is circled around the Wayside Inn and extends at least half a mile. The driving wind and rain make it impossible to see very far into the storm, but the flashing indicates very active lightning. It is quite high, just like the storms over and around Leilon.
Manfred suddenly realises an idea. ‘We need to deal with these guys and then retreat!’ he shouts, then glares at one of the enemies (#2) and starts whispering…
Manfred casts Dissonant Whispers on the enemy… 17 psychic damage. DC15 WIS ST for half damage, and to avoid fleeing…
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Tallow hears Manfred and shouts to Enemy #1 "Hey buddy! You OK?! You look like you might have some sort of food poisoning!" Tallow fires Ray of Sickness at 4th level at Enemy #1 Attack: 17 Damage: 24
