"That, was frustrating." Wakka commented after watching the elemental until it vanished into the distance. "At least it didn't sink the boat, though we should probably get to shore quickly. I'm not sure how much longer your 'plug' is going to hold up Manny..."
Perception: 11
After dragging the boat onto shore, Wakka looked about without spotting anything notable. "So, how should we approach this?" He asked the group once everyone was ready. "Genren, maybe you should scout ahead and tell us what you see?"
"ay, I'll scout out ahead, be follow my lead and stay low. Can't be caught in a trap with our only escape being a busted boat." He sulks down and cautiously moves forward, if he notices the trap he'll disarm (Sleight of hand: 22 )
Genren disables the thin wire trap! Looking along the shore, you see 3 entrances - a large cave opening to the southwest, a smaller cave about 7 feet above the sandy shore, and a wrecked ship in a cave entrance to the north.
"With the tripwire, we know someone's here. Do we want to sneak and try to catch them or find an ambush spot and get them to come to us? I agree that we should start with the ship. Maybe we can use it for cover. I'm so excited!"
"I don't know. Starting with that ship might alert anyone around that we're here. I'd rather use our element of surprise while we have it. It's not like the ship is going anywhere..." Wakka added at the end with a laugh.
“Well Wakka, if not the ship then where? We should do a through sweep regardless so it doesn’t matter too much.” Genren responds with a whisper. Keeping his eyes facing front at all times.
Wakka stopped to ponder for a long moment before replying. "Errr, I see your point. Fine let's search the ship first. Lead the way." Before moving out, Wakka unsheathed his axe and carried it loosely in his hands, ready to act should the need arise.
"decided then, I'll take point. Stay close and stay low my friends." Genren crouches down and proceeds towards the shipwreck, bow in hand. He trips slightly dropping his bow as he moves through brush if possible. ( Mask of the wild wouldn't give me advantage correct?)
‘Lead on!’ Manfred importunes, bring up the rear where he’s suddenly distracted by his lute, gently strumming the strings to make sure they’re still in tune. His finger slips briefly, causing one of the strings to twang a little louder. Looking up guiltily, he flushes in embarrassment ‘Sorry guys, finger slipped!’ he whispers
After successfully disarming the tripwire alarm, your clumsy group manages to trip over or break almost every piece of driftwood or flotsam on the way to the beached ship! As you approach the severely damaged ship leaning against a ledge of the cliff face, you spot several bandits, or perhaps pirates, looking down at you from the deck of the ship. "Well, well, mates, looked what the tide washed in. Some fresh hands to carry these crates! Drop those weapons, ye lubbers, and put yer hands on yer heads!"
(You are about 25' away from the bow of the ship. They are 20' above you and have 1/2 cover...there is a gangplank at about the middle of the ship leading north into the cave. You can talk, or do as they say, or just attack. If you attack, roll initiative with your posted action =)
Annoyed and frustrated at being caught so easily, Wakka was not much in the mood for pleasantries or negotiation. "I don't think so. Why don't you drop your weapons and surrender, quietly, to us, or face someone who's slayed a dragon..." he began as he lifted his dragon axe onto his shoulder, "...helped quell an malignant presence in an ancient forest..." motioning the axe to Manny, "...destroyed a horde of undead..." swinging his axe around to Tallow, "...and defeated a group of deranged cultists." Wakka concluded, patting Genren on the shoulder before staring up at the group of bandits. "The choice is yours..."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Why don't we all calm down?" Tallow calls to the pirates. "We aren't looking to fight you or to break up whatever you have going here. How about you let us up there, I'll make you the best meal of your life and then, if you want, you can join us in taking on some cultists that have made a home on your island. We'll even split whatever goodies they have with you 60/40. Then, we'll be on our way and you can get back to whatever activities you were up to."
(Success!) The pirates look at each other. One shrugs. The others grin. The first turns back and says, "I tell ya what. You lot come help move these crates and barrels off de ship to our storage area, and we'll let you live. We didn't seek the power of the Stormlord to be forced into playing the part of glorified longshoremen doing menial labor!"

"Good job taking care of that alarm, Genren."
OOC - Tallow still has See Invisibility up. Between that and his perception roll, does he see anything?

Manfred briefly drops to his knees on landing, kissing the ground in relief...
'That was a little too exciting for me. Me and my lute are not designed for swimming! What was that you just found, Genren?'
"Trip wire, probably leading to an alarm. We've got three entrances to work with. I say we start with the shipwreck." He lays prone keeping watch.

LOL these Rolls XD
As all of his comrades began making noise one by one, Wakka audibly sighed to himself as he thought reaignedly, Well, this is how I die...
