You enter another room filled with the same type of large iron burial urns that are positioned reverently throughout the room, each engraved with a noble coats-of-arms from the city of Elturel. More polished swords, lances, and shields hang from racks on the walls.
At the east end of the room you see signs of another room and push open a door to find a small room. As you disturb the ankle-deep mist, it parts to reveal a ritual circle daubed in blood on the floor. Hundreds of slivers of parchment are arranged within it, each tiny strip bearing a name written neatly in blood.
Continuing to the west you pass several more room that contain the large iron burial urns and weapons and armor as well as a few more short hallways that have recesses in the walls that hold iron burial caskets. Again each casket has a single, healthy red rose resting on its lid.
You also find another hidden room that holds the same ritual circle daubed in blood on the floor as the other room with hundreds more of slivers of parchment arranged within it, each tiny strip bearing a name written neatly in blood.
The whole crypt is cold and silent as you move through the rooms disturbing nothing at this point.
You move to that last unexplored area (unless you decide to do something in the other rooms)
Four memorial steles stand in this hall, each engraved with hundreds of names. A legend etched at the top of each stele reads, in Common: “Here lie the fallen. May their souls echo here until the end of time.”
Adorning the wall across from the steles is a carved relief showing a solemn, blindfolded angel on the back of a mammoth with feathered wings. The mammoth is reared up on its hind legs, and the angel holds her sword high. All around them are the broken bodies of fallen knights and devils.

Kaelani is tempted to take all of the scraps of paper with names on them in an attempt to protect whoever may be tied to them, but doesn't want to cause harm to them inadvertently by removing them. So he studies them for a minute before passing on. (Arcana/Religion: 20)
At the memorial steles, he looks for any names on the monuments that might match the scraps he examined earlier...

Moses glances around at the other humanoids, curious what it is about this particular chamber that has finally halted their hurried progress. He decides to look around.
Lulu laughs at Tibi's comment. "Uh me? No. Hollyphants never get that big. Really no bigger than I am right now actually. But that is quite impressive though."
Kaelani tries to find a connection between the papers with names seen in the smaller ritual rooms and the names written on the memorial steles. He sees a few that match between the two areas. He is certain there is a connection but can't quite puzzle it out.
Moses also looks around but finds nothing more than the cleverly hidden door on the northern wall.
As Moses pushes the door open the ankle deep mist moves into the room and fills the floor. Looking inside he sees a large writing table in this cramped chamber. A solitary lit candle sits on the table next to a stack of eight leather-bound journals.
Tibi catches Khaelani's movement out of the corner of his eye "for Tymora's sake when we will people learn not to touch things!" he exclaims as he make sure his weapons are loose in their scabbards.
Silence answers you as you call out to whoever may have lit the candle. But after several more minutes of waiting there is still no answer. Kaelani, meanwhile, has started reading the top book.
Kaelani notes that the books seems to be a journal of one named Olanthius. He reads how Olanthius never recovered from Zariel’s capitulation to Asmodeus and subsequent transformation into a devil. He blames himself for not seeing warning signs of Zariel’s fall from grace early on — her single-minded determination.
How long do you wish to read the journals? You could read them all in an hours time.
Caught up in the journal Kaelani pours over them one at a time. When he is done he passes along the following information that he has learned. The words of Olanthius reveal much.
Olanthius never recovered from Zariel’s capitulation to Asmodeus and subsequent transformation into a devil. He blames himself for not seeing warning signs of Zariel’s fall from grace early on — her single-minded determination to slay demons at all costs.
He then took his own life rather than face damnation, but he was transformed into an undead monster by Zariel to serve her forevermore. He describes another named Haruman, his one-time comrade in arms, as a heartless man bereft of compassion — now a devil bent on punishing anyone who stands in Zariel’s way.
However Olanthius mourns the deaths of his fallen warriors and feels powerless to help them. He speaks well of one named General Yael, whom he clearly respects and secretly adores. In one journal, Olanthius hints that he knows where Yael hid the Sword of Zariel but fails to note the location.
((You can all take a short rest))
A few moments after finishing the books the mist on the floor is disturbed and the temperature plunges even further. A moment later in the hallway to the room with the four memorial steles you see the light of a torch approach and then standing in the doors way is what you recognize as to be a Death Knight
"Who dares disturb this crypt and read my journals?" he calls.

"Olanthius? We have come to find the Sword of Zariel and free this city from this hell-plane. I know you did not agree with Zariel and Haruman, and we can help to release you from your eternal walk in undeath. If you can help us find the sword - or perhaps more information on General Yael?" Kaelani entreats the figure. He puts all of his aasimar charm and intellect into the discourse. (Persuasion: 13)

Moses does his best to try and recall anything that he know about what they are talking about. But Skelkor was no where near the Sword Coast and he knew nothing of the stories and history of Elturel. But Moses was starting to figure out that these people he had just joined up with we caught up in a great event.
Tibi continues to lead the party east.

Tibi looks at the image of the winged mammoth and then at Lulu and says "is that you in your days of glory - little one?"

Moses pushes the door open a bit with his staff, not wanting to get too close, but curious what's on the other side.
As Moses pushes the door open the ankle deep mist moves into the room and fills the floor. Looking inside he sees a large writing table in this cramped chamber. A solitary lit candle sits on the table next to a stack of eight leather-bound journals.
"Oohh...journals! Maybe there's something useful, or at least interesting, in them!" Kaelani says as he grabs the top one and opens it up.

"The candle is lit." says Drabash, "Whatever was using it can't be far away, be careful."
He draws his Battleaxes and looks around carefully, but does not fully enter the room.

Does Moses have any idea who any of these people are?
Religion is +2. History is +6. I don't know if you'd want one or multiple rolls, so I'll let you roll.
