You are given time to rest and regain your strength, time to prepare for the onslaught that you fear will happen when Zariel comes. Shortly after you have finished resting and making plans with Reya and Ravenguard a message is received from watchers outside. Demons, fiends of every shape and size approach. The battle will begin.
"I will fight by your side again my friends!" Reya exclaims and she brandishes her sword. "I too will stand by your side.", Ravenguard declares.
They move to head upstairs, several other grim faced men and women moving with them As you come upstairs many smaller fiends are seen moving up the outer stairway and the people around you move to engage them in battle. Reya and Ravenguard are also soo caught up in the melee as they defend the halls.
You cut your way through some of the smaller demons and see 3 larger ones approach.
One is a Nycaloth, elite airborne shock troops of the yugoloths, nycaloths look like muscular gargoyles. Powerful bat wings bear them swiftly aloft in battle, and the razor-sharp claws of their hands and feet cut through flesh and bone with ease
It flies in the air, 30 feet above the ground. Below it 2 Barghest run along the ground
You have 2 rounds to make any preparation actions you would like before combat rounds start. Go ahead declare them and then proceed in initiative order.
Tibi sums up the situation and says to Kaelani "oy shiny one, you and I'll take the flying fugly and the others can take the ground crew." He turns to Reya and Ravenguard asking "do you know if that flying fugly is immune to any particular sorts of damage?" He then pulls out his rapier and mutters to himself "now lets see if this thing works" as he runs his hand over the blade and suddenly little sparks of electricity start to dance down the blade.
He then launches himself towards the creature clawing for height to swoop down on it from.
Kaelani's now-glowing eyes turn to Tibi as he listens to the rapid battle plan, and the aasimar nods and simply says, "Concur." He lays a hand on the aarakocra and whispers a prayer over him, imbuing him with a sense of Heroism. (For the next minute while Kaelani maintains concentration, Tibi is immune to being frightened and gains 5 temporary hit points at the start of each of his turns.)Next, Kaelani causes the holy light of the sword to intensify, so that it sheds bright light in a 15-foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet. (Holy Light. Fiends find the sword’s light disconcerting and painful, even if they can’t see it, and have disadvantage on attack rolls made within the weapon’s radius of bright light.)
Following that, he lays a hand on Drabash's arm. "Rely on the strength of the life-giver. He will keep you from stumbling." The dragonborn then says a short prayer over the fighter.

"Poison or acid will not harm it, cold, fire and lightning are less effective." Reya answers "The Barghest are the same, though they are not resistant to fire. As many of the fiends are, your weapon must be enchanted to do it harm."
Tibi Heroism. (For the next minute while Kaelani maintains concentration, Tibi is immune to being frightened and gains 5 temporary hit points at the start of each of his turns.)

Drabash, noting that enchanted weapons are required to do damage, holsters his second battleaxe and advances on the nearest Barghest, preparing to use his Battleaxe +1 with both hands.
He steps aside as the barghest lunges and brings the battleaxe down upon its neck.
Attack: 17 Damage: 15 plus bless:1 add to attack
He then swings it back in a long raking slice along its side
Attack: 12 Damage: 7 plus bless:3 add to attack
He then continues the swing and once again brings it down upon the neck as the barghest turns to attack.
Attack: 23 Damage: 13 plus bless:2 add to attack
(if advantage due to kaelani Holy light: adv attack rolls 1-3: 11126 )
(Note: the advantage d20s do not have the attack +10 bonus added)
Meanwhile Drabash is ready to intercept if a fellow fighter is attacked.
As the two groups move towards each other you clash near the top of the stairs to the citadel. Tibi and the Nycaloth 50 feet in the air while the rest remain on the ground.
Tibi is up - the rest feel free to pre-post attacks.

Kaelani follows Tibi by only a few feet, flying up to take care of the airborne demon. The light from his holy sword shines forth for all to see and take hope as he strikes at the Nycaloth.
Attack: 10 Damage: 9 + 8 radiant (An evil creature that takes this radiant damage must succeed on a DC 17 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of its next turn.)

Moses watches as Drabash ferociously lays into the fiend closest to him. The dragonborn takes a deep breath, leans forward, and opens his scaly maw. A blast of lightning issues forth toward the other nasty creature.
Breath weapon - DEX DC13 saving throw or take 16 lightning damage (half on save)
As the lightning finishes exiting his throat, his lips pray the words, and a spiritual sheep appears next to the barghest, shining and floating slightly. It lowers its head and attempts to ram Moses's target.
Spiritual weapon at 2nd level: Attack: 29 Damage: 12 force damage + bless: 3
Tibi launches his first attack against the Nycaloth as both blades strike true. Kaelani is right there with him but his blade is unable to penetrate the natural armor of the creature.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Drabash begins his assault on the closest Barghest as his enchanted axe smashes into the fiend.

Conjuring a spiritual sheep he is able to ram the weapon into the creature injuring it.

Lola, having heard the dangers and near death experience of Drabash flies forward and casts the spell protection from evil and good on him.
The Nycaloth screams in anger as it receives several wounds from Tibi who is now out of reach. It turns its attention to Kaelani and claws at him and despite the bright light of his sword he is still only barely able to block the attacks with his shield.
Drabash is able to easily fend off the blows of the Barghest but Moses receives a light injury from the Barghest that he attacked as it rushes forward and claws him.

(OOC: Don't worry about the piercing feat damage. As one of Tibi's hits was a crit and I used 2d8 to reflect the lunging attack the system may have used 4d8 (i.e. doubled the dice) and thus already reflected the equivalent of the piercing feat - does that make sense? Also I assumed that because Kaelani was in proximity Tibi got advantage. If he'd stayed in combat would Kaelani have got advantage?)

Moses growls as he dodges the creature's claws, feeling one catch him between two scales of his armor painfully. He reaches back and grasps his staff. Pulling it forward, he raises it over his head, hisses a word in Draconic, and tosses the staff onto the floor. As it falls (five feet north of the barghest), the staff expands and coils into a giant constrictor snake. The snake hisses and bobs menacingly. At the same time, the cleric beckons his spiritual sheep forward, and it attempts to ram the horrid creature a second time.

It makes enough sense.
If Tibi had stayed to flank then yes.
