"Hey wait!" Gilbert would shout after the man. "How did you get here? What did they want? how are we going to get paid?" Gil would add as the man tries to leave.
"Find me at my mansion in the upper city. They didn't want anything. They kidnapped me off of the street and were torturing me for their own sadistic pleasure."
With that said he leaves the room. You can hear him splash through the water as he begins to run.
"Well... that was a bit odd," Darvin says, shrugging. "I suppose nothing more to do but press on, here."
In preparation for further encounters with hostile cultists, he casts armor of agathys on himself.
OoC: Is the map in post #763 our latest position? Have we checked out the room just to the west? (I'm thinking that is where the prisoner was being held?) If not, I propose we go there, and then check out the southern exit from there.
The passage south leads to a door that you push open. Through the door the passage continues south and turns east with a door on the southside of the passageway and the passage continuing to turn back north that ends at another door. To the west is a large room. This partially collapsed room has three wooden beams bracing its ceiling. Situated between the beams is a scorched wooden table with a human cadaver resting atop it. It is otherwise empty.
Gil would look to the cadaver and begin to take a few steps towards the corpse before pausiing. He would glance down at his bruised and bloody body before looking to his companions. "Hey.. I could probably use a little rest. Maybe one of you should make sure that thing isn't going to get up and attack us.. and then we can maybe sit for a little while?" The small verdan would say with a smile. Most of the verdan's teeth would be covered in black blood as he tries to smile at his friends.
"Well that's macabre," Darvin remarks, looking at the corpse. "Not that I'm particularly surprised, mind you --- 'dead three' and all that."
He approaches the table and pokes at the cadaver with his rapier. If nothing happens he talks at it. "Hey! Are ... you... a ... zombie?" he says, loudly emphasizing each word, like someone patronizing a foreigner that doesn't speak the local language.
If it still doesn't move, he gets closer to it and pokes around more thoroughly, checking underneath it and under and behind the table for anything of interest.
You check the door and find it unlocked. Passing through you find a small room with a corridor that runs west and ends in a door. In the room before the corridor is a rat that scurries around the room, likely looking for scraps of food.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gil would frown at TIbi but keep up with the group as he wiped a bit of blood from his nose with the sleeve of his robe. The small Virdan would ignore the rat and once at the end of the hallway he would inspect the door for traps before trying to open it (Assuming there are none)

"OH... OK" Gil would add waving to the man as he left. "So how where to?" He would ask, looking to his comapanions.t
Here is where you are. You came through the water filled room just to the east and are in the room with the altar and statue.
OoC: Ok, yeah that's what I thought. South?

"South sounds good" Gil would reply as his driftglobe radiates light over his shoulder.

Tibi keeps a wary eye on the corpse as they move past it to make sure that it doesn't move.

(ooc: So no short rest for the nearly dead Gilbert I guess lol)
TIbi looks across at Gil and says “take two of sand and one of cement and toughen up Princess!”
