ooc: note I have the light covered by my cloak

IC: Noting that the cave is already lit by torchlight and seeing that Nobody went across the bridge Margret dismisses her light and follows giving a little tug on Kai to let her know she is going....

(He would still motion for you to come before crossing himself. There just won't be any creepy shadow guy sheningans involved)

Although Nobody had half a mind to start snuffing out torches, the tiefling restrained himself for following through on that line of thought. Even if some weren't the sneakiest, inviting notice more would lead to their end. So aside from a quiet "N-noted. Hold h-here though for others" in reply to Zurzg, the wanderer kept his head on a swivel, and crossbow ready at the first bugbear or redbrand spotted entering his view.

If Margret and Kai are able to safely cross, he'd relay Zurzg's statement if the goblin hadn't already done so by then. "It's almost t-tempting to follow. I-I think if they still have something prepared that way, we should go this way instead." He suggest quietly as he gestured down the hall right across from the group.  "And hope it circles back southward. Catch them in the flank?"

Kai follows after Margaret is safely across the bridge, meeting up with the others with a nod. "Perhaps.  Although we could send a scout. But that risks drawing their attention. Regardless we are basing our plans on what ifs and hopes."

Ooc: if unmolested crossing the bridge 

IC: Margret whispers  "I'm curious enough to find out what would of happen if we crossed that bridge to the south of us."😙

"We do not have much of a choice either way, Ms Kai. We could go back and possibly question the ones we have. But, we've already given them too much time as-is at this point." Nobody replied to Kai quietly. At Margret's words, he gives her an almost disapproving look before just shaking his head. "As I said. It's trapped. Somebody would have to be on this side to trigger it. And by estimation, you'd basically fall into the cavern." 

At that point, he turns to Zurzg and says, "We go where you last saw him. Lead the way." 

She nods to Zurzg and Nobody then whispers

"That seems to be the best, but we are going to be extra careful agreed?"

She follows happy that Nobody took the yoke of leadership. She wonders how fanatical the remaining Redbrands are. If it was her she would of left for greener pastures

Zurzg leads the group south To the second bridge. The sounds you heard earlier came from the natural cave to the south, but you also see a second corridor leading deeper down into the basement to the west.

Nobody, as you walk by the second bridge, you feel a sharp pain in your mind. 

 Everyone, you see Nobody stumble and catch his balance, but before you can ask any questions a whisper fills your mind:

“I may have the answers you are looking for, but what will you give me in return i wonder...“

Kai goes silent before whispering to Margaret. "That.... Doesnt seem promising? Ominous? " She then turns towards Nobody and whispers just loud enough for him to hear. "Are you alright Nobody?" 

Kai: "That.... Doesn't seem promising? Ominous? "

"Your damn right my friend Grab our Tiethling run!" 

She tries to do just that heading to the hallway west of the south bridge, adding

"Zurzg you best listen to me for once!"  

Nobody says nothing initially, as his mind now raced to close off his mind palace. Although the work is sloppy at best, given the fact that few of his lessons delved deep into so obscure and rarely used arts. Regardless, he shrugs off any attempt to grab him, and even reflexives hisses something in draconic at any that try. "Calm down, Ms. Magret. I believe I know what this is, ominous though it sounds... But just in case,  it may be best to move on." Waiting for another word, the tiefling made it appear he had begun looking around for the source of the voice without moving from his current spot, he tries to reply to the voice mentally:

For DM:

Whether his inner voice reaches or not, he asks quietly but aloud, "We seek information or aid in disbanding the redbrands. If you can provide these things, what would you ask in return? Knowledge, perhaps? Or simply food, maybe?"

Shaking her head "Ok...But run if you need too" she stops trying to move the Tiethling but starts backing away towards the Southwest hallway

“I have food. The chasm drew me here. Searching for knowledge, searching for magic. Maybe you have something i could study.“

Zurzg scrunches his goblin face up at the voices in his head, before he has a ‘light bulb’ moment. He looks up at Nobody eagerly. “If Zurzg stab Zurzg’s head, will annoying voice go away?”

"Only if you wish to die in the process, my friend." Nobody whispers to Zurzg, before his attention returns to the passive search. "Nothing possessed that can be borrowed or kept. But, if you know someone here has such, this we can retrieve and give as payment for help given. For surely those here before us are hardly worth any loyalty to you." He directs his words to 'the voice'.    

„I sense some magic on you, maybe that could be payment?“

Margret listens to Nobody's Hi cu wondering what the creature is saying to him she leans against the passages wall tired 

Nobody cants his head as if confused, then promptly shakes head in a dismissive manner. "Won't ask how you figure that, but as I said, nothing that can be borrowed or kept." Nobody reaffirms, and now more actively tried to look and listen for at least a direction from which another creature might be hiding; including the ceiling. "A-and if there's no other magical things here you might want but can't retrieve, then I guess we're done h-here. Good day, Mr. Voice." At that, he'll turn and start motioning for people to start moving further down the corridor.

"Nobody, what does it want? Money, Information?"

You can not see anything or anyone, but the pitch black tunnel to the south would be a reasonable good bet.
