Kayla felt utter dismay.  Somehow she'd feared this would be what they found.  Still, it chilled her to the bone, even as she did her best to check the tiny bodies from a distance.

Perception 18

Is there something specific that you are trying to investigate? A general perception or investigation will just reveal what's evident in the room, which was described above

Given she failed it... it probably doesn't matter.  It was to pretty much see if anything might suggest how/why they died and why that room.  Seems like a nursery with the toys?

It's easy to see that it's their room, the dollhouse, the toy chest and the cradles would make you reach that conclusion. 

Benito look's unto the bones of the children with regret. "I've seen my share death in my life. That being said, seeing a child's corpse has never been easy for me... We must lay their bones to rest at the earliest opportunity."

"Agreed.  Perhaps someone in the village knows of somewhere they can be laid to rest," Kayla replied.

Kai looks at the children for a minute before around at the house. "They seem like a wealthy ish family. Perhaps they have a family tomb? Or an area in the graveyard for their ancestors? I'm... Not sure how things work here... But I agree that we should lay them to rest when we can." She will carefully take a bedsheet and cover the two's bodies, offering a soft prayer under her breath before looking around. 

Upon spotting the dollhouse, she will inspect it closer, opening it to reveal its contents quietly as she sits on the floor to view into it, her notebook open in her lap.

(Wow... two 12's. Creepy XD ) 

As Kai inspects the dollhouse, you feel someone's presence bear you and it says " we are here, and there's a secret door" - she points somewhere in the attic (between the storage room and one of the spare bedrooms) the voice belongs to Rose, but this time you perceive her as a ghostly apparition, doesn't look alive in any way, as the illusion did.

(ooc - do we all hear/see rose? If we do..)

"You aren't the same apparition that we met outside are you? Any chance you could tell us what's happening here? And what happened to you?"

Kai jumps a little in surprise and looks at the apparition, studying her with a nod. She waits for Rose's answer to Benito's questions. 

(Is Thorn with her?)

Apparition from outside? - asked Rose - we've never left this room, our parents kept us in here to protect us from the monster. 

We died from hunger - added Thorn - we've been alone for a long time, but you are going to keep us company, right?

Benito shoots an acknowledging glance to the rest of the party, as if to say "Something seems to have lured us into the home it seems." 

Benito look to Kai with concern over the question that Thorn has posed and then offers an answer. "We will take care of the monster little one, tell us where we may find it, if you know, so that you and your sister may enjoy peace at last. How long has it been since you've seen your parents?"

Benito has one hand on the hilt of his great sword, careful not to let his guard down. This apparition wants company, and as much as he feels sorrow for the child... He does not plan to stay here for eternity in the same condition as them.

Bukowyr watches as the ghosts appear and talk. For the first time something had not been hostile to the party.

As Benito asks the questions, the Svirfneblin pays attention to the apparitions and wonders if hey are now into the point of trusting ghosts.

"We would like to help," Kayla said, her voice soft and coaxing.  "Did you ever overhear anything your parents said about it?  Or what is below?"

Unfortunately, there as an uncertain quiver to her voice.  Perhaps it was the dust bothering her throat.

 OOC: Dice rolls not cooperating.  She has a +5 to Persuasion, if you need to manually roll... Nevermind.  Goodness Kayla!  You bombed and you're supposed to be the Face, lol.

We've never seen the monster, but I believe he is in the room that's all the way down - says Rose - if you are strong please kill the monster but also take us with you! 

The last word of that sense echoed in Kayla's head and Benito's. Immediately after that the ghost disappeared but Bukowyr noticed how Benito grabbed Thorn's doll and brought it close to his chest as the illusion of Thorn or ghost did. Kayla grabbed a coat (very small for her so she is just wearing it like a small cape) from the rooms as if she knew where to find them. 

Let's go then - said Kayla (I'll send both Benito and Kayla a message, I'm not rping your characters but something happened :p)

Kayla is filled with new zeal and her posture straightens.  Nothing would get done at this rate!  Clearly she needed to take charge before they grew as dusty as the room.

"This monster won't kill itself.  Benito- you're up front.  Everyone keep your eyes open and weapons ready for trouble.  Burkowyr, check for traps once I show you where the entrance is."

Staring at Kayla's change in attitude, Bukowyr can only imagine: - " How do you know where the entrance is located, Kayla? We were searching for it all the way until here."

"I just do.  What does it matter, anyway?  We have our goal.  Are you really complaining?" Kayla asks, beginning to frown.

Couldn't he see she was right?  They wanted to kill the monster and she knew how to get to it.  Obviously it was better to just do as she says.
