Peaking from the treeline Rigg checks out the area surrounding the mouth of the cave, looking for any sign of goblins.
"Those little buggers are definitely in there, 20 or so, there may be guards."
OOC: can Rigg observe the area?
On the east side of the stream flowing from the cave mouth, a small area in the briar thickets has been hollowed out to form a lookout post or blind. Wooden planks flatten out the briars and provide room for guards to lie hidden and watch the area - including a pair of goblins there right now! However, these specific goblins are playing a game of cards against one another. A rather uneventful one at that, from the look of their faces.
OOC: we should be able to surprise these guys. Let's wade through the water sneakily and avoid having to do that in the fight.
IC:
"I'm impressed they can even read those cards," Rigg chuckles at his own joke. "They seem to be busy, should be easy enough to slip close unseen. Or we can fire some long range shots from here for those who can."
Fae would rub her shoulder a little from the slam against the pit hole earlier, but damn was she thankful for Enkindles quick action to save her. She’d take a little bruise over what could have been waiting for her.
”Aye, we may as well try and pluck them off.” She’d nod agreeing with the group. “I can offer to throw an axe!” She’d grab onto her hand axe to hold it up with some Dwarven pride. She loves her axes. “Or a net?”
(Do you want stealth check for all, or just the ‘leader’ initiating the attack? Fae wouldn’t chance taking a lead right now after the pit fall. She’d follow.)
Ever since the little show put on back with the pit, Enkindle had follow along, if only absent-mindedly, loosely tugging at the end of her ponytail with a thousand yard stare. "Wha-what? Yea, sure--" She shakes her head as if shrugging off mental lapse. "Whatever. Look. I don't give a shit how ya'll wanna do this. So long as those filthy ****ers get the justice long due to them, I could care less. But I ain't much for sneaky. Most I can offer is to... ugh... stand.. back, and take the long distance approach. 'least some of us probably should, 'nd just be ready to fire soon as it looks like the jig is up a second too soon." She says in a bit of a huff.
"I could also ask He of the Unsleeping Eyes -- praise be unto him -- to watch over one of ya sneaking in." She says, forming some brief symbol int he air.
(OOC: She is offering to cast Guidance on someone wishing to approach stealthly, granting an additional d4 to the ability check to the uninitiated.)

“So... no axe?” Fae would playfully pout and put the axe down, still holding it though. She’d just stand waiting for Inx to sneak out and be ready to follow instructions for after the sneak attack attempt.
OOC: Huzzah!

Map of Cragmaw Hideout.
IC: "Okay, what is the plan? Do we soften them up a bit, waiting for them out here? Or try to divide and conquer them by infiltrating the hideout?"

OOC: Distance to the goblins from our current position?
Eldak|Baconoid|Inxori
20 feet.
OOC: So, shall we jump these goblins then before they sound the alarm?
Eldak|Baconoid|Inxori
OOC: Also, how close are the two goblins to each other? Within 5 feet? They are playing cards, after all.
Eldak|Baconoid|Inxori
Yes, 5 feet, maybe a little less.

I would like for everyone to give their input on the "plan" before moving to the next scene. Ideally, agreeing on a plan.
IC: "Let me soften them up from range first. I might be able to take one down with a fire bolt."
OOC: Do I have advantage on this attack roll?

You can surprise them. You'll have to make a stealth check.

IC: "I'll offer to sneak into position. You guys be ready to fire on my signal. Which will be a fire bolt."
