“I can’t imagine I make the best first impressions myself.” Fae would appreciate Inx sharing even a little of their story. She’d offer her hand to shake, maybe even with a hint of an encouraging smile on her face.
"Sounds like a plan to me, pops.” She’d grunt out to Riggs, hauling herself out of the cart so they could prep it.
Fae would offer what assistance she could, but she’d mostly find a safe spot out of the way to rest and tend to her wounds. If possible, she’d keep an eye out from where she sits, in case any of those goblins decided to come back.
Enkindle eyes narrowed her eyes before at Fae for the comment about 'getting information'. But with little more than huff, she turns on Rigg. "It ain't like I was suggest'n we hold off that long, ya old fart. Sheesh." She trails grumbling and kicks a rock off to the side. But given a moment to pout over it, she comes around to assist in hiding the cart. But after she remains insistent about waiting until Fae was good and ready to go, if only by staying seated by her, glaring at anyone too impatient to wait.

OOC: Haha! Rigg was just trying to get the kids to stop bickering, of course we can rest once we pull these things to the side :)
Rigg checks over everyone and calls out that we are heading in. "Don't stray too far ahead or behind!" He says, starting to get the sense of military life again.
He proceeds into the forest, letting Atala take the scouting position. Rigg glances at his new aquantences, feeling oddly comforted and ready to take on whatever lies ahead.
Aside from a roll of her eyes, Enkindle just shoulders her mace. "Yea, yea, no need to shout. Tho' jus' so its clear. I ain't pull'n any punches 'less we need anotha' squealer. So don't go 'xpect'n it from me." She declares as she strode up to follow Riggs. But not one step ahead of the elder man. For all her bluster and crass attitude, the Fire Genasi took up a sort of mid-guard position as if drilled to do so in the past.

Fae would give Enkindle a nod of gratitude for sitting with her. After the short rest she feels rejuvenated back to full strength again. She picks herself up off the ground and dusts herself off. She’d offer a hand to Enkindle to help her up if she wanted it. Then Fae would catch up with the rest of the group. “Aye. Good to go.”

Fae's feeling pretty discouraged from her terrible participation, or lack there of, in the battle with the goblins. She's also feeling pretty useless hanging out at the side of the cart. After some time, she would trot up to catch up to Atala, "How about you take a rest, and I'll take the scouting from here?" Offering to take the scouting position for a bit. Fae hopes she can be of some help.
After 10 minutes along the trail Fae notices a snare trap mostly hidden under leaves. Since she noticed it Fae easily does not get pulled upside down among the tree branches. And after another 10 or so minutes -
Fae is so oblivious of the 6 feet wide, 10 feet deep pit trap that she walks right into it.
ixi, I'm giving you disadvantage on this roll since you rolled a 1 for perception. I know there's no rule for 1s or 20s on ability checks but it's too rare/good of an opportunity to pass up. So please forgive me.
Roll two dexterity saving throws since you have disadvantage.
Enkindle heroically pulls Fae from falling over the edge of the pit trap. But sadly she had to use all her strength and the weight of her body, placing herself right where Fae was. However, Enkindle miraculously jumps from the edge, does a flip over it, and lands on the other side of the pit perfectly unscathed.
I mean, the chances of rolling two 8s is way lower than rolling a 1 or 20, right? So it seems only fair.
After some time of following the goblins' trail, you come across a large cave in a hillside five miles from the scene of the ambush. A shallow stream flows out of the cave mouth, which is screened by dense briar thickets. A narrow dry path leads into the cave on the right-hand side of the stream. The stream that flows through the complex is only 2 feet deep, cold, and slow moving, allowing creatures to easily wade through it.
"I'll scout ahead," Atala offers, wanting to track down this group of goblins before they hurt someone else.
Elra Skylash - Human Cleric | Vanzaren Tanidoni - Half Elf Wizard
Mindartis Liadon - Eladrin Barbarian | Naivara Siannodel - Half Elf Ranger
Arrila Evenwood - Half Elf Paladin | Callaphe of Setessa - Human Rogue
Katernin Nemetsk - Aasimar Cleric | Melody - Tiefling Bard

I'll wait until everyone agrees or disagrees with Rigg and Atala to start the next scene.
OOC: Inx is onboard with the plan.

"Good catch kid, quite the eye." Rigg tells Fae after she spots the trap.
OOC: can't wait for Rigg to be disappointed.
Edit: and he is!
