"Enough." Stone would say with a stern voice. "Drake will die one way or the other. I am fine doing it the captains way for now.. but if uncovering evidence becomes to much of a burden... I will cut him into bits and toss the remains into the ocean" The goliath would say with a sigh. "Let's go check out one of those abandoned homes..." He would say heading out of the alley.
Ilvisar adds to Xil's declaration, "Hopefully sooner than later."
After walking for a few minutes, Ilvisar will suggest, "If you're all so keen to throw chum into shark infested waters to confirm there are sharks around before you dive in head first, then I would like to arrange a place on a ship with a crew that would be willing to hide us and smuggle us out of town if things go belly up."
"I guess we split up" Stone would say quickly. "I am going to look for evidence, one of you come with me and one of you go with him." He would say as he points a large chainmail covered hand towards Ilvisar. Stone would then take off towards the abandoned houses.
Going your separate ways you come upon the Sword Estate. Barren and hauntedly empty. The rod iron gate remains closed, the lock smashed off of it. The front yard shows remnants of a fight. Blood stained grass, mud thrown about from feet digging in to the soft soil, scrap and debris tossed about. You even find a tooth mixed about what’s left of the chaotic event. The towering brick mansion of a house lies quietly, beckoning you in. The door lay open, vandals and thieves taking what they can in the aftermath. You step into the echoing foyer. Planter knocked over with soil scattered across the floor. Patrols are still in the area, so people have only taken the small trinkets and wares, leaving the furniture and large items. Paintings of the Starlofts line the halls. To the right is the entertainment area, straight back is the kitchen/ dining hall/workers quarters, upstairs lead to the bedrooms, downstairs is basement/cellar. The air is stale and smells of dust. The house remains darkened behind closed curtains. What would you like to do?
Making your way to the docks. The waves lightly wash to the shore as you walk along the pier out into the water. Lining the docks are boats of every size. Small shacks on either side selling and taking in the fresh catch and wares needed for sailing. One larger building at the end, a tavern the Illsivar is familiar with from his time sailing around. The Sirens Respite. Walking inside the tavern you see a bunch of different parties keeping to themselves. Some are merchants, soldiers, and some less scrupulous types. What would you like to do?
You recognize two of the sailors in the corner. Both human men, tanned skin and weathered hands. Scruffy looking, but you recognize working with them not too long ago.
Ilvisar will approach the less scrupulous types who are also obviously sailors. Then he'll make small talk about the new leadership in town to see who appear to be scornful of authority. From that point, Ilvisar will ask the questions he needs to ask to achieve the goals set out in Post #230 (above).
Stone would quickly look around before moving into the house. Once Hallie was inside he would pull the door shut behind them. "Let's see what we can find... judging by the blood out front.. there was a pretty big fight.. let's see if we can prove that Drake was involved..." He would whisper as he began moving through the house. "I think we should start in the basement and work our way up" He would whisper as he tries to remain quiet.
Before they arrive at the docks, Xil would have responded, "It is common for druid to live in the wild, with the wild. However, it isn't uncommon for some of us to find ourselves in cities. There is to be a balance between the wild and the civilizations... I thought it would be best to work from within. Within the city to keep balance, within the governments bureaucracy to leverage what I can in the wild's favor when necessary. Plus the money isn't bad either... and you know... now that you have me talking about it. I think I might be able to help our friend with his revenge in a subtle way."
(ooc: thanks for asking me about my background because it made me also look at my chosen background! DM, after we're done in this tavern with the sailors... I'd like to put my background feature to some use.)

Ilvisar chuckles at Xil's answer, "So you're a saboteur on behalf of nature? Don't let Hallie know, she'll get all indignant and start calling us 'pirate' and 'spy'."
"I wouldn't say saboteur... more of an advocate. I do not seek nature to rule. It is simply about balance. Man doesn't know when to stop expanding. So, I put a stop to it where I can to preserve nature to keep the balance in order.

Ilvisar laughs. "Ok then. I am not a pirate, you are not a saboteur, we are advocates. You put a stop to the sprawl of civilization, and I put a stop to the disproportionate accumulation of wealth. We seek balance."
Walking up to the two shady looking guys in the tavern. Ilvisar recognizes them as Jenkins and Leroy. Now while they weren’t totally on board for all the pillaging and piracy, they have been known to partake in some smuggling now and again.
“Word is you supposed to be a dead man walking? Nine-Toes hung you out to dry an’ everything. So you and your lot lookin for passage? We should be able to suffice. We be leaving port by next Tuesday (today is Wednesday) heading on down around to the south side of Cyrodil... long ways from here. You can work you can have your way for free, just need a, how do you call it? A deposit.” They both chuckle a bit as they finish up.
Outside it looks like the fight Stonetooth told you about where the two other families eliminated each other. Weeks old blood hard to come by any other clues. Making your way into the cellar. You find a couple casks of Ale and wine in the corner. Various silverwares and furniture covered in blankets. A small roll away bed folded up in another corner. It’s dark and cobwebs have begun to form. What would you like to do?

Ilvisar laughs, truly amused, "And where do you think the city taxes go? Who 'holds' onto it?"
"Enough." Stone would say with a stern voice. "Drake will die one way or the other. I am fine doing it the captains way for now.. but if uncovering evidence becomes to much of a burden... "The way I see it, is that I am here to guide your goals. Drake will pay."

Hallie
"That is a good idea. meet us back at the house we stayed at last night?"
Ilvisar's eyebrows rise, "Shall I go off on my own then?"
"I guess we split up" Stone would say quickly. "I am going to look for evidence, one of you come with me and one of you go with him." He would say as he points a large chainmail covered hand towards Ilvisar. Stone would then take off towards the abandoned houses.
"I'll go with Ilvisar."

"Alright, let's go then! Drake isn't going to kill himself now is he..." Stone would say with a frown.
Ilvisar will lead Xil down to the docks and go look for less honest ship crews. What he is looking for is:
In the meantime, Ilvisar will chat with Xil... "So? How does a druid become a member of the bureaucracy in a town? Seems counter to druid-y things."
