Soar nearly rushes forward to hit LF13 with Talon, but pauses on Tangle's greeting. The elf certainly could handle herself. "Missing? Which way?"she responds, and fires off an eldritch blast at each remaining target, hoping to get lucky.

Hoard of the Dragon Queen - Jalt Rhogar - Dragonborn Cleric (9)
On the first hit, the unconscious Bazavur takes two failed death saves. The scimitar plunges through his body, and the yuan-ti pulls back in satisfaction. Bazavur gives a last, gurgling breath, and then dies.
The yuan-ti, seemingly overcome with religious zealotry, plunges the scimitar in once again, further brutalising the body, and then turns to Jalt and laughs.
"I don't know!" she snarls at Soar, and slashes at the remaining Lizardfolk.
Bonus Action: Insightful Fighting on LF13, Insight 23 vs its Deception Action: Slash at LF13. 16 to hit, for 8 piercing damage. If IF hit, add 13 piercing. Move: if LF 13 does not die, she stays where she is, but if LF 13 dies, she will snag her bow off the ground in one hand and race towards the passageway, heading north (up) towards the yuan-ti
Reaction: reserved for Uncanny Dodge

Tangle, you manage to bring the last lizardfolk of this group down with an extremely well-aimed stab.
Soar, you reach the yuan-ti, though you aren't able to flank with Jalt. You deal a devastating blow with your first attack, but the creature is just clinging to life. Your second attack misses badly.
Round Twenty: Jalt Pureblood 1 Tangle, Bazavur and Soar
Jalt looks down at the fallen Bazavur and then back to the Pureblood and smiles back at him. The only abomination here is you, foul creatureJalt says as he lunges forward swinging the Staff of Healing Attack: 21 Damage: 8 invoking War Priest (final time) he swings again Attack: 23 Damage: 8
Jalt's first blow knocks the yuan-ti off their feet. They fall to the ground, and do not move.
You know that a single lizardfolk has escaped deeper into the complex, and there are likely more lurking there. But with no enemies in sight, combat comes to an end, unless you wish to make pursuit immediately.
With the flickering ethereal presence of the guardian of faith not quite looking on, Jalt and Soar stand and look down upon the body of the fallen Bazavur.
Tangle takes in the scene before her, and their dead companion. She glares at Jalt, then pivots to face the other way, scanning the hallway for enemies. She sheathes her sabre and draws an arrow, nocking it to her bow. "One escaped, and has surely warned any others. None of these we have encountered seems to be leaders, so we should expect there are more fights ahead."
She takes a deep breath, steadying herself. (Second Wind for 7 more hp)
"I can continue, they are likely still somewhat disorganized, but..." she glances back, "It may be that we need to take a moment."
(OOC > I think a long rest is probably in order, but I don't know if we should go all the way back to the surface, or just cross the damn bridge again and barricade that side.)

Jalt returns back to Bazavur, drops his shield and staff.. placing one hand on his holy symbol and other hand on Bazavur, Jalt says Breathe life into your son, great Bahamut. He reaches into his pouch and produces a diamond worth 300 gp and places it in his hand again over Bazavur, clenches his fist and says... For your glory
Jalt, you feel Bahamut's presence flow into you; it's quite a contrast in this forsaken home of vicious snake-people, but very comforting. The magic passes through into Bazavur, and your fellow dragonborn takes a hesitant breath, then a deeper one, then opens his eyes. He looks confused, but slowly clambers to his feet. You're not certain he fully understands what has just happened.
“It wasn’t your time, Bazavur. Thank you, Jalt. That was a lot closer than it should have been. Nearly lost both of you. We have to do better. I know we can do better. Tangle, do you hear anything? What’s down that corridor to the, I think, East? We need to lick our wounds, at least for a while. I’d rather not chance the bridge again, so maybe there’s an empty room down there we can hole up in. But they might force the issue if that missing one got away, and come calling,”Soar says.
She puts 10hp of lay on hands into both Bazavur and Jalt. And then listens and keeps watch toward the unexplored areas of the place.
