Zand’ayl looks perplexed “hmm, Never seen this before. Looks like a catalog of shipments, coming into the temple? What would you say made it catch your eye?”
Zing is able to sneak into the doorway and closing it behind him. Due to the larger than normal amount of people hanging out by the door though another priest comes closer. A young female elf with green hair and eyes. “Hello you three, is there anything I can do to assist Brother Zand’ayl with your visit today?”
(No one has noticed Zing sneaking behind the locked door, but some general suspicion has been raised.)
Zand’ayl walks back with Matteo “ahh, Sister Rondyll. Is there anything we can help you with?” Looking around the group. “I’m sorry, wasn’t there another member with us?”
Zing:
Walking into the chamber, looks to be a long tunnel of stone stairs leading down into darkness pass your dark vision. Two torches remain lit right at the entrance. A door is to your right, a plaque that says “High Priestess Balinda” the air is dry and dusty. There isn’t any way to tell how far the steps go down. The door locks itself behind you. You can hear an extra muddled voice behind you, but no one seems to be panicking.
"Im not sure to be honest. And yes, we have another with us, Im not sure where he could have gone off to, he is prone to feel overwhelmed by crowds so perhaps he went outside for some air. We can continue the tour, Im sure he will catch up." Jengamyr says, trying to dissuade him of any suspicions.
Zing - you open the door to find an office. A small table with some papers and standard holy texts on it. There is a cot as well as a tea kettle. It’s a very bare bones and humble office. There is a small painting of a dwarves family. It’s old, but you can tell it was the dwarf woman you met earlier along with a man and a younger woman. There’s a closet with some dwarf sized clothes as well.
Everyone else - Zand’ayl completely bus into the needing air excuse and continues the tour. “Now this next building is usually found to be quite .... boring from most visitors. I tell Balinda that we should really sho it first and end up in the Troubador Hall, but you know dwarves and their traditions. This is the hall that catalogs all the information in the realm. Censuses, maps, family lineage, nobility trees, that’s sort of thing.” Well that’s the tour, if you have any questions feel free to ask. “Would you be staying with us for the evening? We can make accommodations.” Zand’ayl asks while he continues to walk backward with the group
Fascinating, sir, absolutely fascinating. I did have a few more questions, particularly about this temple itself, and its history. How old is it, might I ask? Why was it constructed in this particular location, on this particular mountain? It is a beautiful place, to be certain. Matteo look out of the windows, seemingly very impressed by everything that he is seeing, and he carefully maintains his humble and pious expression.

Drax would have been following along, maintaining his disguise as a young wide-eyed noble. "This is all very interesting! I will be honest, I fancy myself as a bit of an amateur adventurer!" He would say as he brushes his magic fake blond hair to one side. "I was really just hoping to find out anything I can about this rising darkness we were told about on the road here! I would love to help defeat this evil! Do either of you have any information on that? Books....texts... or maybe even magical items made to help battle this vile creature.." He would ask with eyes wide....
Taking in all the questions Zand’ayl begins to respond much as a museum tour guide would. “Well, the temple was built 638 years ago give or take a couple of months. A Cleric Cadderly Bonaduce built it as a temple to Denier hoping for all good aligned faiths to be able to congregate and worship. I don’t know why this mountain in particular, but he was one of Deneir’s chosen. The only weapon I know of him using was his crossbows with bolts tipped with a vial filled with oil of impact. Legends has that he resides in Shadowfell to this day standing Vanguard against Hepheastus. I don’t know what evil you speak of, I’m sorry. But there’s always answers to be found here in our libraries. If you’re willing to take the time to find them. I hope you enjoy your time here.”
You walk in the warm dry air, pitch black. The ground alternates between stairs and smooth stone floor. You walk for 10 minutes.... 20 minutes... nothing changes. Do you continue?
I think, my friends,Matteo looks around at the other three, we should accept our guide's fine offer to stay a little time, perhaps the night. There is much wisdom to be learned here, and many things we can learn in the service of the light. He bows again to Zand'ayl; might I spend a little time in the library, doing some research? Our own quest - though I cannot speak much of it - is unclear, but urgent, and I believe we may learn much here that will aid us. You have my word, that when we are successful, you will have the whole story - we will return in person or send a full account with haste.

"Thank you friend, I will see what I can find in the library then." Drax would say with a small smile and nod. hr would then make his way towards the books, looming around with his right hand extended towards each book as if he were going to pul it from the shelf before moving to the next. The Yuan-ti would look for anything regarding The Cloven, or any book that promotes his finger to hurt.
Zing is able to turn back and whether from skill, divine intervention, or pure dumb luck that no one was right there at the door when he came through is able to sneak out without anyone noticing.
He is able to find the group combing through all the books and tombs amongst the library. Unfortunately Drax is having a hard time finding what he is looking for. It all seems to be accounts of previous adventurers, holy clerics of good, and general histories from across the land.

Jengamyr carries the book over to the guide and says, "Sorry to interrupt, this tome caught my eye - do you know what it is?"

There doesn’t seem to be anything else in the office usable or setting off any indicator that you need to be in there.
