Matteo gives a formal bow, showing the genuine respect he feels for any who find their way to worship of Asmodeus. Walk in strength, brother.
When Archie has gone, he turns to Petmorn. You were a beast in that fight. That yeti didn't stand a chance. Well, I guess we should get back the others. They're probably in some kind of trouble and need our help. He sniffs, the scent they had taken from the kobold still rank and covering them. Perhaps we should wash first.
As they head back towards where they had been waiting, he keeps an eye out for the others and also for a stream where he can wash himself.
"I am starting to think we should have tried to burn down that temple... While I think there could be some useful information in that restricted area... it will be nearly impossible to access now I would assume" He would say as he shakes his head and his appearance returns to normal.
"Yup, let's go." Risha nods and start following Aether, giving Drax an incredulous look. "Buddy, we barely got out of there alive while they thought we were just some snoopers. How were we gonna burn the thing down?"
Both groups make it back to the designated camping spot as a rendezvous. Aether, Drax, and Risha make it back first. Hesitant at first, they begin to wonder where their partners wandered off to. Ideas of them being captured by patrol begin to flash in their minds, just as they hear a twig snap. They startle and ready for anything as Petmorn and Matteo return, clothes damp and hair wet, slicked to their heads.
The group is reassembled and back in the safety of the campsite of the woods. It’s closer to the afternoon hours of the day. What would you like to do.
Risha gives a sigh of relief as they're reunited with the others. "Thank the Nine. We thought you were captured." She turns to Aether. "You learn anything interesting before the kiddies got nervous and called the guards?"
”Just a few random words. ‘“Island”.... “Tuning fork”..... “Calimport”... “Vosnassa”’ Luckily I also got the book.” Aether pulls the book out of his pack to show the others. “The ’librarian’ at the temple seemed to think this would contain the locations of the other shards. I suggest we put some more distance between ourselves and the temple and then I can study it more thoroughly.”
(What is the title of the book? And what do I know of the words in context of looking for the shards? Especially calimport and vosnassa.)
"Well that is fortunate.." Drax would say looking towards the stolen book. "I think it would be best if we continue to move away from the temple before setting up camp... I am exhausted." Drax would say as he rubs his pale colored forehead.
You find anything interesting? Tell me you didn't burn the temple down, says Matteo, still unwashed and stinking of Archie's goo. We made a friend and killed a yeti. Well, mostly I made the friend and Petmorn killed the yeti, I guess.
You spend the next couple hours creating some distance from yourselves and the temple. Pretty soon you’re back at the crossroads where you saw that cart go on by. It’s well into night time now and it’s a good spot to camp for the night. Sitting down Aether takes a look at the spine and reads “A History of the Sundering”.

He is able to recall the Calimport is a Port city on the south west corner of Faerun. Much south of the Sword Coast. Vosnassa is a legend, a story of some lost temple in the islands south of the mainland. It’s said to have been a paradise for a civilization long ago. Lost and presumably ruined now.
"A yeti? Fascinating. I don't suppose you brought the corpse back with you?" Looking about and not seeing it. "I guess not. Oh well." As we walk I pick their brains about the encounter with the yeti. Focusing on its anatomy and physiology. After helping to set up camp I begin to study the book and let the others know I am able to keep watch if they would like to rest.
Through some down time both at night and the morning of reading the book Aether finds his spot where he last was. He finds that (paraphrased): The ten shard were believed to be scattered after the great Sindering. The act by other deities and heroes of the time to lock Asmodeus away. (Already knew this). The ten shards that reflect a portion of Big A were then scattered across the plain. Now originally thought to stay on the prime material plane, it is now thought the protectors of the shards have possibly hidden them in other planes... one scholar even speculated that it was given to a demon prince, knowing it would protect it out of pure hatred. The binding spell happened in the ancient temple of Vosnassa, a ziggurat on an island to the south. The temple which has been lost for hundreds to thousands of years. It is believed if you take a piece of the altar that was used during the ceremony of the great sundering, it can be sharpened into a “tuning fork” and locate the shards as it resonates with the same energy.
When Drax wakes up he find his left hand is now completely black just as his finger used to be. It isn’t painful, he still has control, but the area in which he grabbed the shard now shares the same shiny black quality that your lord has gifted once becoming part of the Left Hand.
Drax would examine his hand and smile... before hiding the coloration of his hand with disguise self taking on the image of a pale, bald, and scarred middle aged man. Standing up he would dust off his fine clothing and looking around in the early morning for any signs of [Tooltip Not Found]s that might be around that he could try to befriend. After a while he would return to camp and look to the others. "So what is our next course of action? Did your book provide us with any leads?" he would ask.
"In fact yes it did. We need to find a lost temple on an island to the south. It was at this temple that our lord was shattered. It might be possible to use the remains of the alter used to find the shards. Also we might end up having a more difficult time finding them than was originally thought, one may even be held by a demonic entity. I need to stop at a town as well to get some supplies."
(Is there a town or city to the south that is not to far?)
Matteo grins, pleased to have a clear purpose and direction again. Good work. We should get going then.
If the rest of the party is willing, he will lead as they travel towards the nearest town to the south as Aether suggests. Our Lord grants us strength as we succeed; he will grant what we need to defeat any demon that lies in our path.
"That sounds fine. Perhaps we should start in Riatavin as it is closest. Then we can take the road through to Mintar. If we are not able to find what we need there we could continue on to Ankhapur."

"Yes lets look for the others and get out of here." Aether continues heading away from the temple looking for the other two fingers.

Risha raised an eyebrow. "Uhh...okay. The temple's intact, more or less. But they maaay be a tiny bit suspicious of us now."

"Wouldn't mind some rest. Been a busy day." Petmorn gives a weary smile.

To Mintar, perhaps?
(Since we're headed to an island, which towns would have a large port?)
