Vusgaar winces, and clutches at his head. "Your deception will get you nowhere with us. Now cease your struggles, and there may yet be a chance for you to be free of your corruption." Though the words are said, the shifter's expression offered no sincerity for either outcome. He knew more than enough of fiends. Even so, and with his shield held protectively over Ani, Vusgaar let just enough of his attention drift to see to the bard's recovery.

Action: Cast (1st level)Rejuvantor on Ani, restoring 6 HP.

A shield of fiery energy flares between Talaak and the Voice, stopping the attack cold. "Not for long."

Demetrios seethes as he tries to attack the voice again, mentally praying to the inspired to guide his hand.

The Inspired don't appear to be listening.

Ani will spit up some blood, "Ugh. Rough." She'll nod to Vusgaar in appreciation before she picks herself up. The blademaster will place a hand on her chest and take a healing breath, staring down The Voice.

And down the Voice goes! As he falls, the illusion around him shimmers and vanishes, revealing another rakshasa.

Out of initiative

After taking a few moments to look Ani over, and make sure she wouldn't collapse, Vusgaar turned his attention more fully on to the rakshasa. "Let that be the last one we meet along the way back. Though, it's presence is telling... things may get worse, before they get better." As a matter of course, the shifter motions to Talaak to pass along the "enchanted" javelin given before, and stabs at the downed voice if a body should have strangely remained on the spot.

If there is none however, he picks through any gear left behind by the creature, confiscating the potential useful to be purified upon their return. Though during the entire process, an almost troubled look played across his features; his thoughts having strayed back to its claims.

When the the voice falls, Demetrios breathes a sigh of relief. He felt as if he did absolutely nothing that fight aside from heal his fellow teammates and it... irritated him in a way. Though, now certainly wasn't the time to dwell on it. He does, however, give a long look at the rakshasa, his face souring at a passing thought before turning to the others. "As long as we're working towards getting to that 'better', then so be it... How is everyone fairing?"
