Vusgaar had simply nodded to Vik, trusting them implicitly to be able to handle themselves. At Ani's suggestion, there isn't even a moment's hesitation; except to mask any obvious weaponry on his person. A task that proves easier said than done given the jump suit the man wore at the moment. Nevertheless, an attempt is made until either successful, or logic dictated he offer up at least his dagger. For few would even consider a shifter of his appearance to be a caster.
He raises his arms for the binding and says, "If that is your wish, Transcendent One, it shall be done. Although it may prove difficult in Demetrios' case given the armor."

Demetrius nods in agreement with Vusgaar, a frown forming on his lips. “He does have a point regarding my armor, unfortunately, and I’m afraid that if we do happen to get into a fight...” He trails off, knowing that the outcome wouldn’t be in his favor if he decided to not don on his armor. “But... If needed I’ll strip down and have Vik look after it for the time being?”

Ani would tie everyone up as they are, hopefully loose enough for them to free themselves should a fight occur. She'd nod to everyone. "No time to waste then. Shall we?" The shifter would take a deep breath and lead them forward.
The doorway leads into a large circular room with an altar in the middle, exactly as Vik described. Six cultists ring the altar in a loose circle, chanting softly, and two more in more elaborate robes with arcane symbols covering their skin in ink and blood. Loops for manacles ring the walls, and two are in use, holding a battered looking shifter and a terrified young man. The room is open to the sky, the stars glittering far above the thirty foot high cylindrical room. Lying on the altar is Jenna, very clearly dead. An ornamental dagger has been used to cut her heart from her chest, and one of the fancier cultists is lifting it towards the stars glittering up above, chanting above the others. "Kaluunite ancestors of our power, we offer this child of another world as an invitation! Come and show us your secrets!"
OOC: Everyone make a Deception if you want to seem like you're just a few sacrifices being escorted. If at least two people beat DC 10, whoever the spokesperson is (probably Ani) gains example on their Deception, which will go directly up against the cultist's Insight.

It takes a lot of willpower for Demetrios to not strike out as soon as his gaze meets with the sight of Jenna’s dead body. He clenches his jaw and closes his hands into fists, mentally curing himself for allowing this to happen to her. He tries to blend in as much as possible, trying to not let his emotions get the best of him.

Vusgaar is in a similar boat as Demetrios. As much as he yearned to follow Ani's instructions to a 'T', but his eyes would wander now and then during the procession; either to mark noteable cultist, or just from the wrongness in the air teasing more primal reactions. Recognizing not Jenna's form, but the blasphemy of a changeling struck down in offering all the same gets him to start visibly bearing his teeth.
As the calm settles in Vusgaar began his own chanting under breathe, and amassing of raw magic bit by bit. By the time he has to raise his voice for the final few lines of the spell, it is already too late for most cultist. Slipping from his "bonds", the Shifter becomes a far more bestial in appearance while slamming the built of warbling mass of magic between his hands.
Action: Expending 2nd level spell slot to reckless cast.... (8 or 10).
This time however the mass expands and encompasses both of his hands a foul green tone. "Now!" He barks as he sweeps his hands to the side, and attempt to release the magic.
(Presumeably only able to maintain concentration on one of those spells, so ekeeping Gust of Wind up)
At first a globe of darkness surroundings the space around the shifter. Then a split second later, it vanishes as a torrent of wind rushes forth from seeming the palm of a hand to start battering the cultist holding the dagger aloft.

(BA Rage, 1 Dagger attack)
Talaak snaps the bonds around his wrists as he draws his dagger and rushes at the nearest cultist. As he bears down on them, anger fills his mind, "You have insulted the il-altas and disgraced the Path! Die!"
Finally able to use his emotions as fuel, Demetrios slips out of his binds and tries to take out the cultist holding up Jenna’s heart.

Meiara offers her hands to Ani, placing her trust in the changeling.
