"Oh," Demetrios says absent mindedly, blinking himself back to reality when Jenna approached. "Ah, absolutely, Jenna. You seemed to be very interested in staring off into the camera... something, that I didn't want to interrupt you." He gives her a gentle chuckle. "Very well, let's move on."

When the two found a patrol willing to answer some of their questions, Demetrios thanked them and then went right to it. "Can you tell us of what is currently in the maze itself? What kind of... Creatures might be encountered and any sort of weaknesses they might have had? Is there anyone who could possibly escort us through some parts of it? Someone we might be able to report to?"

"Something besides what the bunny and the raven have told us already." she adds, cheekily, turning to wink to Quacky, who huehuehue's.

Meiara:

"You would call him a wolf, I believe. His flock went into the maze. Only he returned."

Demetrios and Jenna:

"Sir! Uh, we're not quite sure what's in the maze," the lead soldier admits. "We never go more than a about a quarter mile in, otherwise getting out becomes tricky. There's usually creatures brought from the dead from altavar influence there. They don't seem to like light. And...well, like I said we don't go more than a quarter mile in. A few scouts have tried mapping it. They...didn't come back."

Jenna looks at Demetrios, then back to the soldier - curiously, her soft smile fading a bit.

"Thank you for your help."

Having gotten all the assistance that she's ever going to get from small animals, Meiara decides to return to the previously agreed upon meeting spot and wait for everyone to gather back up again.

Demetrios mirrored Jenna’s frown. “Is that so? I apologize for your losses.” He said with quiet empathy. “The quarter mile that you all have been able to navigate, was that at all mapped? If so, would it be possible to see it to aid in our mission of cleansing the maze?”

The soldier nods. "It's been mapped. We should have copies as well, if you want to bring one with you."

"Absolutely, that would come in handy, thank you." Demetrios nods in affirmation towards the patrol. "I understand you all don't venture too far in, but have you noticed any patterns concerning the creatures you have seen? Do most of the creatures emerge at night, rest during the day or visa versa?"

"We only go in during the day, but we assume that it's worse at night."

Jenna remains quiet during the exchange, listening, her gaze going from Demetrios to the soldier and back as they converse.

"Very well..." Demetrios concludes, his face going a bit solemn before he looks to Jenna. "Would you happen to have any inquires for them before we let them go?"

Jenna nods thoughtfully at Demetrios, then turns to the guard. "Yes, i'd like to ask a question that's been on everyone's mind." she says, "Can I have a ginger ale?"

The patrolman blinks. "Uh...yeah. Kitchens." He gives you directions to the kitchens.

Vusgaar is unable to learn anything from the guards.

Meiara can't hear what Demetrios and Jenna are saying, but she can see the guard's confusion and decides that this is as good a time as any to return to her friends. "So, are we ready to compare the information that we have obtained?"

Jenna smiles brightly looking at Quacky, back to the guard, and lastly Demetrios - thrilled at the prospect of having something cold to drink.

Demetrios was taken aback by Jenna's question, but it makes him chuckle a bit when they answered her regardless. "Thank you for the assistance." He bows to the guards. "We'll be around this area so you all could deliver the map to us." The paladin then turns to Meiara. "I believe so, but we should wait for Talaak and Vusgaar to return as well."

Jenna follows Demetrios back to the main group, Quacky waddling along to keep up.

"Here is one you need not worry overly much." Folk here as the ursine shifter steps on to the scene. Despite his expression being hardly any different normal, its the sleight way he held himself and struggled with meeting anyone's eyes that tell the story clearly enough. But if pressed, he answers curtly, "I was not able to confirm anything. You all have my most sincere apologies."

Demetrios frowned at the news of Vusgaar unable to gather information. "It is no problem, Vusgaar. I'm sure the information Jenna, Meiara, Talaak, and I gathered is enough to cover our bases." (Assuming Talaak is there) The paladin looks to the druid. "What were the animals able to tell you of the maze, Meiara?"

Quacky looks up expectantly up at Meiara.
