"If we are being guided somewhere, I see no reason to run from it. These walls do not look very climbable, and it is better to stay on the move than to stay in one spot."
"If, like you say, the maze can think and it cut off our escape, why wouldn't it try to lead us into a trap or something equally unpleasant? Because if the maze is intelligent, then this feels like more of it trying to lead us into a trap than anything else and I see no reason for us to head in the way it wishes us to go."

"It is more likely the maze has been designed to periodically shifts its walls to make mapping it difficult, and escape even more so. Just as there are liable to defenses set in place to make scaling the tops a less inviting prospect than a distant spying of the place might suggest." Vusgaar comments, having returned to his own senses after the wall closed behind them. "Either way, it is pointless for us to argue or debate about what's happened. If we are to proceed forward, let it not be for too much more. With largely only a torch light and the sharper senses of some to rely on, it would be far too easy to miss important details. Or worst, focus on the wrong ones... At least, that is my suggestion." He mentions, but would put up no further "fuss" and follow along with the rest.

"Very well then. This is as good a place to rest as any, at least we will have a wall to our back. I will take the first watch, unless anyone objects."
Demetrios could not have agreed more with Vusgaar on the subject. "A wall to our back for now... Hopefully if and when the wall shifts, there will be no surprise waiting for us on the other side." He says. "Not the good morning I'd like to wake up to." He has no qualms with Talaak taking the first watch, opting to take the second when the barbarian was ready to tap out.

Vusgaar simply shook his head 'no' in denial, accepting Talaak's wish to take first watch. "I will take third. Though the bat will remain awake with you, Talaak. If you should need him to scout out the dark further than you can range, simply ask, and it shall."The fruit bat in question flutters over to a nearby wall, searching for some purchase to rest its wings and keep watch. Vusgaar wastes no further time in pulling out a set of string and circling whatever makeshift campsite comes out the groups effort, chanting and causing the string to glow the faintest silver as he went.
(Ritually casting the Alarm, excluding party movements and small insectiod movements over the line and choosing the 'silent' option.)

As the watches pass, you continue to hear soft scraping noises here and there.
The bat since it's literally the only one who rolled moderately well:
During first watch, Vusgaar's bat hears the occasional clack of bones hitting stone or clacking footsteps. Nothing seems to come close...tonight, at least (y'all lucked out on all four encounter rolls).
The next morning arrives, and you are all still alive and intact. The wall remains stubbornly in place.
After some interpeting, Vusgaar reports Baticemo's findings of either bones or something else clacking against the stone during the night. "Nothing approached as far as he could tell. Nor were their direction clear beyond simply being a ways ahead... I would recommend doubling up watches in the future while we're here going forward."He glances to the still sealed wall and shakes his head. "Hmm... Anyhow. Shall we get going then?"He asks, having done most of his prep during his watch. Once on the move, Baticemo resumes its forward scouting with a blinded and deafened Vusgaar being guided along with the rest.

OOC: Meiara, Survival with advantage for that map.
The morning passes, and apparently you are lucky, because you don't encounter any traps or monsters. The maze slowly becomes more and more foreboding. Despite the noon sun blazing overhead, it seems to start to be growing darker. Around noon, there is a marked change in the appearance of the maze. The walls are now perfectly smooth, with nothing on them that could be used for purchase. The black stone around you is now shot through with veins of deep purple. Most disturbingly, every inch of the floor is covered with a continuous, elaborate carving, a mural of bones and death. Gouge marks are visible here and there, as if something heavy has scratched the floor, as well as scratches as if a blade was deflected downwards. The walls show none of these signs, the dark stone faceless and smooth except for the sharp corners.
Meiara:
You realize after a few minutes of walking in this new part of the maze that there are occasional dried bloodstains on the floor, some so ancient that they're barely visible as flecks of dark brown, some new enough to still hold a little of their bright rust color.
OOC: Everyone give me a Perception check. Hearing based, so the bat gets advantage.
Anyone who gets over a 15 or has a PP over a 15:
You start to hear a distinct scraping sound around some corners, like stone on stone. But when you round the corners the sound was coming from, there's nothing there.
"It moves like something alive. I don't think it's coincidence that this wall moved to block our path back once we passed it."

First watch: 11
First Watch(Bat): 17.
(Has blindsight(60ft), and Keen Hearing for Adv, for when that matters)
Third Watch(Vusgaar): 16.
At some point into Vusgaar's watch, overconfident, he starts focusing more and more on studying spells in his book...
