The Phandalin Chronicles

"Thanks buddy" Chip would say with a cough as the dragonborn moves towards the enemy. Chip would drop his longsword with a clatter before pulling a dagger from his belt. "Let's see you catch this..." He would mutter before throwing the weapon at the last enemy.

Chill's bolt strikes the man as Rekuburk strikes him twice with his blade.  Krom follows up with a smashing blow from his hammer that nearly finishes the man off.  Kazri moves forward to join Rekuburk and Krom but Rhogar and Chip are on the second floor balcony and too far away to throw daggers and must move through the house and back downstairs to reach the melee below.

Another blast of thunderous force sweeps out from him. Rekuburk, Krom and now Kazri must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, they take 16 thunder damage and are pushed 10 feet away from the man. On a successful save, they take half as much damage and aren't pushed.

Rekuburk and Kazri take the full brunt of the spell and are pushed back while the stout legs of Krom allow him to hold his position.

Rekuberk will get up and then move back to slash at the spell caster twice more, wanting to end him as his mind was filled with rage and pain.

If the remaining man isn't knocked unconscious by the time Rekuberk is down with them, a frustrated Rhogar rushes forth, fully intent on being the one to at least incapicate the man with a painful clubbing aside the head with his staff.

Krom shouts a battlecry as he tries to smash his warhammer into the sorcerer's flank with all his strength "Moradin!". At the same time the Spiritual Warhammer mimics the dwarf's powerful swing.

Kazri falls back from the thunderous blast. She hits the ground hard, and thunder is ringing in her ears. She gets up and charges the last person and tries to knock him prone with her kite shield. (Athletics: 21 vs. Athletics/Acrobatics)

Attack1: 27 Damage: 12 (Attack1 if with advantage: 11)

Attack2: 26 Damage: 8 (Attack2 if with advantage: 10)

Rekuburk slams the pommel of his sword down onto the man's head and a glazed look crosses the man's face has he slumps down, unconscious.

(Man, finally!!)

"Let's bind him and remove his magical focus if he has one." says Krom. The dwarf will then proceed to examine the half-orc searching for arcane or religious symbols to remove.

"Better make sure he cannot move his hands or fingers at all" Chip would add as he hobbled towards the unconcious enemy.

Seeing as Rhogar did not need to charge forth, he gives one last look about the forest for any more signs of boars or men.

Perception: 11.

Unless he sees anything, he huffs and starts heading back inside. "There's yet more WORK for me to do. So, I'll be get'n back to that.... Not that I have much magical power left to be much help." He said as much along the way. But before he is even close to stepping inside, he halfhazardly points up to Ghorar. "If you find yourselves in trouble again, Ghorar will be SURE to remind me." He adds. His last intended words prior to setting back to work on uprooting the tree, and quite possibly salting the earth for good measure.

Rekuberk will slowly return his sword to his back, groaning a bit as his rage gives way to pain from the multiple magical strikes. " This is why I wish I had the apptitude for magic..."

Looking at the man and his dead companions you see that they are actually half-orcs.  These must be the evil half-orcs that Falcon spoke of.  You find a symbol of Talos on him.  On his arms he has clawed gauntlets strapped to his forearms.  He has no spell casting materials.

You securely bind him.

Krom after removing the symbol of Talos and the clawed gauntlets from the half-orc, the dwarf says "Let's take him inside for questioning."

Kazri helps dragging the Half-Orc. Keeping eye on him to make sure he doesn't try anything "inappropriate".

He remains unconcious as you bring him inside. 

Meanwhile Rhogar has completely uprooted the tree and cut it to pieces.  Sweat beads on his forehead from his exertions but the task he has set himself is finally finished. 

"I still don't know why Rhogar hated that tree so much.." Chip would mention as he limps his way back into the house.

After much panting to expel both heat and breathe the dragonborn way, Rhogar finally sets the chopped up remains on fire with a torch, and would keep watch over the now more manageable burning remains. He is ever at the ready to snuff out parts or twist the flames back on the selves should it get out of hands. As for Ghorar, whenever the interrogation is to take place, she alights on Kazri's shoulder, ready to help her with any intimidating measures.

Chill heads back into the house and meets with the others as they drag the captured man inside.
