Hearing Tarja's warning, Zeke signals to the party to close up to protect Gundren while he spins around to cover the party's backtrail. 'Eye's up, these things can come from any direction'
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Fae would close her personal journal to exchange it for her spell book. Hugging it to her chest, she'd make herself smaller and as suggested, she'd step in closer to Gundren. Violet eyes would scan the area. She'd nibble her lip as a thought would pop into her head, wondering if it'd be worth mentioning. It'd be something possibly more suited for their Master Artificer to figure out and finesse, but she'd entertain the thoughts and ask herself 'what would Ethan do?' before offering an idea.
Investigation: 21 (Fae has a net and I was just wondering if it'd be worth seeing if we could gain some advantage/an advantageous position in some way by crafting/setting up a trap/counter trap? Might be a silly question, but could Tarja tell approximately how many?)
And if she couldn't think of anything worth mentioning, the wizard would move to ready a spell instead. Depending on the size of the threat they may be facing, she prepared something that she hoped would be helpful. Fae would be looking to extend an offer to share her 'strength' with Zeke in the upcoming battle(s) should he welcome the boost.
Offering: Enlarge/Reduce (She looks for consent before 'forcing' or applying her magic on party members.)
Zeke sees Fae glance his way with the offer of some sort of magical support, he nods his head, trusting in her power, skills and judgement to make the right call when the moment comes.
Zeke initiative if needed 20
(We can keep the initiative rolls in case they are needed, but you have time to tell the others what you heard and smelled.)
Tarja reverts back to dwarf form, realizing that she'd be more use with her spells than with her teeth.
Careful! There's spiders about! (The nonmagical but big kind, from what I smelled). Keep your eyes open, especially looking up!
She gets out her scimitar and would cautiously advance with the rest of the party.

Elra's hands start shaking at the mention of spiders, but she takes a deep breath and tries to focus on the task on hand.
