Well i do hope it is something more than fear. Youre a good guy duke. And id like to see the best for you as well in your life.
Quinn to ash,
Erm, well yes. Thats the reason i wanted go home at some point. My mother. yes she lives in waterdeep still. Though she is very old and id like to see her before she goes. And id like for you to meet her. She would love you! Haha
"Declaration: I have felt a great deal of happiness, being with all of you. Secondary Declaration: I hope that I will be able to succeed in my new life once I am on the surface." Duke smiles again, thinking about the promise of meeting Genevieve and maybe finding love, like his friends have.

Ash smiles and tilts her head slightly. "We can go meet her. I don't mind. I'd... like to introduce you to my family too... Although I'm not sure they'll be where they were when we get to the surface. They don't... Stay in one place for that long." Her smile fades slightly in thought and she looks down to her plate for a minute. After a few seconds, she seems to force a slight smile. "But perhaps we'll find them afterwards."

"Don't go get'n all sappy on us now, Iron Lung. Or invite'n that ***** Beshaba to the table. We ain't out of this ****'n hellhole yet." A still sore Enkindle admonishes prior to returning to polishing off her meal. For all her caustic words, one could swear a faint, hopeful smile touch her face. That slowly fades as she glances over her companions once more until finally her eyes settles on the teddy bear. "Wha..?" She glances to whoever its closest in effort to suss out who it belonged too. However, her gaze eventually returns to it...
"... Pfft. Everyone's got there thing, I s'pose." She mumbles as she goes back to observing and waiting for folk to finish up.
Ash smiles and tilts her head with a slight smile. "That would be helpful. Although I suppose listening in to local town news could also help find them. They're not that secretive with their travels."
Ash seems to be leaving something out of her explanation, the small nibbling on her bottom lip being a slight key that she is trying to reword what she is saying. After a moment, she looks to Quinn with a smile. "So your mom. What's she like?"
Sharing the table with Ronnal and Enkindle, Ree'lyn gave an approving nod at Amara sitting with Scan and glanced over to Jezzika, taking a glimpse of the female, servant of the elder monstrosity. - "Ah, you had gone for a stroll around the city past night, before Ronnal left to his family." - directly speaking to Enkindle. - "Found anything interesting? People here got busy. We need to talk about the entities now present here and find out how to send them back. As far as I know, individuals from this plane facilitate the passage to have demons coming through. I don't know if they would be able to open up portals by themselves. We have seen a ritual bringing Demogorgon." - again looking at Jezzika - "Some people are willing to have that happening again. "
It takes a moment, but when the direction of Ree'lyn's word do sink in, Enkindle scrunches up his face at him. Then she looks between him and the direction of Jezzika before turning a raised brow on him. "What? Look -- First off, no. I ain't find nothing more interesting than McGreyson the new lording here apparently. Secondly, if there is a way to send'em back, right now, we ain't got the back'n, position, or power." She promptly raises a finger. "And I swear to helm, if ya try to pull some bullshit about talking to your people -- who, chances are, probably doing the same thing as the other ****tards we've seen in this place doing -- or, hoping the same out of stool's people, I wouldn't hold yer breathe. Its good to hope 'n all, but ya gotta temper it if ain't got somethin' to follow it up with."
She pauses only briefly to catch her breathe, and let the fire of her hair down down a few notches. "Now, that ain't say'n I ain't got no intention of trying somethin' fer shit gets escalated. But I refer back to my main second point. So aside from bringing it to folk attention 'nd hoping fer the best, or coming back down 'ere with a proper armies at our backs, ain't much we getting down on our own." She says plainly.
"And lastly, I hope... I really hope ya got a good reason to go hinting at what I think yer hinting at just then. Because if ya don't, and this is some other delayed bullshit madness, I'm gonna deck ya."
"You see" - Ree'lyn tries to reason with the most unreasonable person he has had the unpleasant experience to talk to. - "some people bring demons to this plane because they want to gain something, at a very high cost. We happen to have with us one person who is closely tied to one creature as careless about life as demons are. Maybe more, because this thing would seek out destroying everything, whereas demons would enslave and torture you for eternity. Just for the fun of it." - he says that looking at Jezzika once again. - "Svana is being drawn to it by her deepest griefs. So, we have Zuggtmoy, the demon queen of fungi; Jubilex, the demon Lord of ooze, Demogorgon, the demon prince; Umbra...the elder evil who Jezzika is favored by."
The moment Ree'lyn starts trying to leading into the issue a sidelong explanation, the moment Enkindle's already placid expression starts to turn into one of muted annoyance. Fortunately, aside from clenching her hands into tight fist on the table, the genasi woman is able to restrain herself to just that until the end. Despite budding anger, she does at least glance over again at Jezzika, remembering past observations and a few words either overheard or read in the rare moments they talked in sight without her vision being obscured.
A long, tense moment passes before she squeezes her eyes shut, and start pinching the bridge of her nose. "Ignore'n the fact that ya still 'aven't 'xactly given me proof aside from yer word, 'nd 'supposed' expertise on the subject. And maybe even a handful of little incidents of her use'n a like power to at least two or three of you other ****ers... I already took ya all under my charge. Might not 'ave screamed it to the 'eavens as some other 'emites might've, but it stands all the same. So, I can't act off conjecture alone. Ain't 'ow we work. Most I can promise is to keep a closer eye on 'er in case she tries anything... At least 'till we reach the surface, 'nd she ain't quite under my charge anymore. Ya give me somethin' in the meantime worth at least putting her under 'em's Eye? Then sure. We can talk 'bout what to do then."
"Tho' don't 'xpect kill'n to be it. Learned a few years ago with some Kossuth worshippers that death tends to exasberate the problem if'n ya ain't got somethin' fer when the puppeteer decides to get more involved. We sparking as is, or ya got somethin' more?"

Looking at Enkindle with an air of some kind of alliance was being built, nodding. - "You might want to search for what your own order has to say about Umbra, and then associate that with the one among us." - yet, Ree'lyn had to offer some kind of help to Enkindle's effort to keep calm. - "We must watch and work subtlety. Keep track of the signs and we shall alert every high ranked contact we have to make sure the help does not come too late." - finally satisfied that he had made his point come across to Enkindle. - "We leave to go shopping and then to the caravan. "I agree with Ree'lyn, to some of your points and army will be useless. If we do nothing then the demons will conquer the Underdark with their madness and that madness will creep upward towards the surface." Ronnal speaks to just enough where the two can hear "I understand you don't like being hear but their are innocents down here to. Tell me, this Helm you keep swearing to is it a god that cares not about those than cant defend themselves?" Ronnal looks at Jezzika then back to Ree'lyn "What makes you think this Umbre is the cause?"
"That should be a question to ask of Jezzika, not me." The noble laughs lightly, but what little joy on her features had dissipated into a more serious visage. "What I know of Umbra is what Jezzika has taught me and he is... Magnificently terrifying. An all powerful being that I could not even comprehend when my eyes first met him, with seemingly infinite knowledge of everything and anything you seek. Umbra is a scholar's dream, an answer to the most difficult questions, showing you what he could give you as long as you serve him." Svana's lips thin and form into a frown. "Servitude is what he wants of me, and he had given me a taste of the truth I seek for closure, but I'm not ready yet."
