Duke does not appear to be bothered in the least by the two women on its back. If anything, its ease of movement gives off the implication that Duke is accustomed to carrying weights that are heavier and less winsome than the elves. "Declaration: This unit did not intend on startling you when it picked you up. It shall make a full effort to prevent a repeat outcome in the future." 

Phineas nods, rushing over to Jezzika, whispering to Silvanus as he holds his hands over her wounds. "Hopefully, this will help, milady."

Huey rushes up to Phineas, and manages to squeal out between sobs ”Owie! Owie! Owie!  Owie!  Rock hurt Huey’s head!”

Drowsy, Jezzika asked weakly, "Did you heal me yet? I don't feel anything. Maybe your patron is broken." she let out a weak snort. "I'm kidding. Thanks, Philbert."

“It’s quite alright, Duke, no worries,” Svana laughs gently as she waves her hand dismissively. She gives a quick look up at Jezzika climbing on his back. “Hey, come here often?” She jokes light heartedly before an idea came to mind.

“This makes it easier for me to scout ahead for us, actually.” She says, snapping her fingers to summon Chandra into existence. The rat lays on her chest as she pets the bridge of its nose while she gets to explaining. “This is Chandra, and she is my familiar. Please do not harm her—“ She shoots Step Step Thud a glare. “Or eat her for that matter. When I look through her eyes, I go blind and deaf, if I am needed, shake me and I will come back. Okay?”

((When we’re all good to go, Chandra will go ahead first to scout out the area first. Svana will relay what she sees to everyone else.))

"Oh, hello." Jezzika smiled weakly to Svana, laying on the robot, trying to regain her strength. "Fancy meeting you here. I usually walk instead of using the garbage transport, but it's nice to have company. I shall never see garbage the same way. I will promise to not hurt your small rodent familiar. Oh, your're talking to Duke, oops. Ha!"

 Night Before:

Enkindle shuffles in her seat uncomfortably, and says nothing at first. Though upon hearing the apology she shakes her head. "Well... I dunno. I don't really... it ain't somethin' that's too personal, so I don't give too many ****s 'bout it. Can't imagine how you wound up down 'ere. But fer me, I... kinda threw meself down 'ere? It's a... a long story short. I got careless chase'n some gobbos, 'nd after kill'n one of da ****ers, by Tymora or Bashaba -- whichever one -- decided it'd be funny if the mine tunnel fell out from under me. 'nd while I was trying to work out a way back up top, got ambushed by our friends." She snorts. "Lucky bastards. If it weren't fer dat weird rock with tentacles I ran into along the way wear'n me down, I would'a took care of 'em too." Enkindle declares with some measure of confidence.

Hearing the call for bed time before long, she eventually passes Talike her rocktopus piece prior to readying to keep 1st watch. Even if it was a little redundant...

"Ah shit." Is about all Enkindle gets out prior to doing a fair impression of an experienced acrobat avoiding the first wave of rocks. Then the second hits, dazing her mid-triumphant "Woo!" By some miracle, she manages to avoid any more knocking her out. Though the whole affair has her nursing a bleeding scalp and looking around nervously for a second. "Wooo?" Another glance around.... then a "whew" of relief. "Okay now whose--o' fer **** sake!!" Her ongoing string of curses continues as the sound of a flamethrower enroute to helping in the rescue operation.

Talike, the guardian. Runs faster than the rocks falling. Almost always.

Once everyone is through the rubble, Ash will follow behind everyone, taking slightly longer strides to again be in the middle of the group with assumingly Duke and the wounded. "We should find a place to camp. Most of us need to rest after that." 

I tried to warn you. You're welcome. You lived. Heed my advice next time and be more careful.

Ash rolls her eyes slightly and it is visible to both Jezzika and Svana if they chose to notice. Almost immediately the stinging in her back returns and she tries to imagine a middle finger in her mind. 

Yes! I know! The burning is unnecessary....

"You look like me sometimes when I talk to Umbra." Jezzika says weakly, aching to rest and relax after suffering cerebral assault, which, according to Sassy, doesn't exist.

Ash glances to Jezzika and shrugs. "Voices in my head being ******** again. Same old same old. Seems like my card was right."

(It's actually scary how accurate that card was. XD ) 

“I hear a voice in my head, but thats just the same voice i’ve always heard in my head. It took me a long time to realize that it wasn’t normal and I scared a lot of people. Got them mad at me. When I realized it wasn’t a person in head I didn’t get scared, I got curious. My curiosity got the best of me and,well, I ran away. Umbra is tough on me. But it has shown me a lot. Given me a certain perspective of the universe we live in.” Jezzika explained to Ash.

Ash nods in understand and pauses in thought before responding to Jezzika. "I've... Had mine in my head since I was about seven or eight? It's given me powers, but I know very little about it in all honesty. Other than the burning brand, the powers, and the occasional words of non disappointment, it hasn't given me that much about it or what it really wants... I... Didn't get a choice when it came to this." She gestures to the general vicinity of her tattoo with a slight pause. "But I don't have much of a choice about it now do I? I've just... learned to live with it I guess. After all, I only really had the voice and Yama to guide me. And where I'm from, people don't tend to ask many questions about your background or the strange voices only you can hear." 

There's almost a sad tone as she mentions Yama, not despairing but a slight self disappointed tone. Ash becomes quite with thought as the continue to walk. 

After clawing her way out of the rubble, Talike tries to limp at the same speed as the others. She stays in the middle of the group. 

"I agree with the red lady. We should probably rest"

Talike also eavesdrops on Ash and Jezzika's conversation.

"So how does this patron thing work? Do your gods only talk to you, or do they other things as well? And do you remember when they make you do things?"

Ash almost laughs at Talike but restrains herself. "I think it depends on the 'patron' as you called it? As far as I'm aware I'm the only one mine decided to bug... i...  wouldnt call them... gods though? Rather higher beings perhaps?" She gives Jezzika a questioning look for her opinion before looking back to Talike.  "Honestly I just know mine as the annoying voice in my head. And as far as I'm aware, I am in control of my body mentally and physically all of the time. Consider the voice as an annoying sibling who pesters you to do something until you give in and do it? Although there are obviously your own boundaries. For example, if this ******* decided to ask me to kill one of you, I wouldn't. Goes against my morals. As shady as they are..."

The burning begins on her back again and she let's out an audible annoyed sigh, doing her best to ignore it. The slight glow can be seen barely through her leather armor.
