Step Step Thud caws confusedly as the cube speaks, before backing away and eyeing it suspiciously.

Ash stares at the cube, mouth slightly agape as she eyes it skeptically. "Uh... Ashryn... I'm... an elf...You talk? That's... different. Why are you here?"

Huey just shakes his head again, trying to shake the voices that he’s hearing out of his head. 

"I'm Amara, dear," Amara introduces herself with a smile.

Svana hesitates a moment but soon drops her stance seeing as the cube doesn’t seem to be aggressive, Chandra following suit. “Back to the pocket with you, dear.” She says quietly, snapping her fingers and blinking the mouse away. She stands straight and clears her throat before speaking up, “I am Svana Vatzwani, a pleasure to meet you, Glabbagool.”

Upon listening to the creature's voice in his mind, for an instant Ree'lyn thinks it is one of the group members. Alas, it was not. - "Eh..hello...Glabbagool. Were you turned into a cube?" 

Talike, who had almost brought her sword down on the cube, stops.

"Wait, you... What? I- Okay, so you, Glabbagool, are a big cube thing and you can talk to us. Alright then. I'm Talike."

Talike seems to be questioning her life choices.
"Do you think you could, you know, spit out that mace. Can't have too much protection down here, you know."

Talike's voice cracks as she speaks and she is shaking a little.

Enkindle joins Huey in the head shaking. Only her is accompanied by a, "No. No. No. No.... Please..." followed by her willingly curling up into a sitting ball in the water, still shaking her head. "Don't need this. Don't want this. Don't need this. Don't want this. Stay outta my head." She moans pitifully from the ground.

"Should I still kill the cube? It'll get out of your head if it's dead."

Talike's built up confusion from the past week seems to have just released itself. She is not functioning very well right now.

Seeing how Enkindle crumpled to the ground due to the telepathic link, Svana speaks up before anything could be discussed much further. “Excuse me, Glabbagool, would it be at all possible for you to, erm, not speak telepathically, or perhaps you unlink from these two in particular?” She points to Enkindle and Huey. “They’re not very fond of voices invading their heads...”

"Let's not jump so hastily to killing, dear." Amara says to Talike. "Ash, Gwen, could you two help Enkindle and Huey? Perhaps Jezzika could join you. Talike, no hitting unless we're attacked. Glabbagool, could you leave the two on the ground out of your telepathic communication, darling?"

Ash nods, lowering her hand and moving over to Huey. "Hey. It's okay. It's just our slime friend here. We can all hear them. Do you want me to stay by you?" 

She combs her fingers through his slightly greasy hair, trying to hide the slight wrinkle of disgust from her face as she attempts to calm him before she pulls away her hands, wiping them on a cloth before looking at Huey. "How about you tell me a story Huey? While the others talk to our cube friend?"

"Why yes, of course!" Glabbagool says, pleasantly, and drops the link with Huey and Enkindle. "My deepest apologies! I am very excited to meet new an exciting creatures in this dark place. Why, just yesterday, everything was darkness, and now, I am alive! Tell me, why are you are here? Where do you come from? I have not seen people like you before." Glabbagool wiggles in excitement. He is large enough that he is blocking the passageway and you guys cannot worm past him.

Jezzika kneels and comforts Gwen and Enkindle. "Fascinating.." she says, looking at Glabbagool with a smile.

IT IS NOT.

Sure it is, a gelatinous cube is speaking to us! Never have I seen this before.

ITS PATRON IS RESPONSIBLE.

Huey immediately calms down, thanks to Ash's comforting talk.  He slowly backs up, and slumps down against the far wall, bearing his teeth in an untrusting manner towards the slime cube.

"Wow! How long have you been here my gelatinous friend? And also why are you here?"

Insight 4

"We're traveling," Amara tells the cube with a smile. "We are from all over, brought together by a strange chance of fate. Tell us, what brought you out of your darkness?"

"Declaration: This unit is from the landfill belonging to the City of Waterdeep. Inquisition: How did you obtain sentience?" Duke is very curious about this previously primitive lifeform obtaining sentience and the implications that it could have for it.

Once Huey is calmed and the group asks its questions, Ash will look to the cube. "I don't mean to sound rude. But I believe we need to get around you to head towards the Kua-Toa city. And you're blocking the path... Is it possible that you could... move? So that we may get past?"
