(is there so much poop and minerals that I wouldn't be able to make a little area around the skeleton clear to study the ground and see if there are any items around it?)
Navi's climbing equipment would allow that. Not being anthropologists, you might damage it.
Collect another skull and you can name yourselves the "Headhunters"
Navi would see Corum inspecting the body and she'd offer him some tools, "Don't lose them. If they rust from the poop, you owe me some fresh ones. And lets make it snappy. I want out of here."
Navi would be back at the wall, getting herself ready for the climb. You could hear a snort come from her when Georges makes his pun. “A’ight. I’m gunna take the plunge!”
While Corum is trying to take the skull off the skeleton, he unknowingly slips the pieces of metal into his pockets, with the new skull tucked away into his bag he will try to help Navi anyway he can.
After many scrambling attempts, Navi is finally able to climb the wall and the conclave top of the hollow using her climbing equipment and rope. Outside, the cloud cover has finally burned off and the sun shines cheerily down through the forest canopy. Securing the rope to a nearby tree, the party is able to make its way back up into the sunlight.
Corum finally makes it over the lip, and lands spread eagle on his back huffing and puffing. Finally! So glad... to be... back.. up here. Does anyone remember passing a stream or creak? I think some of us could use some cleaning up.
"I agree Corum, the stream would benefit all of us and if I am not mistaken," looking over at Navi, "the stream is located this way. Depending on the time we should probably set up camp for the night as well, away from these creatures in case they come back."
Time: since your rate of travel is about 18 miles a day, I divided into 3 parts and adjust from there.. So about halfway throught part 2 would be mid-day
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Navi would of wanted to retrieve any of her pitons if possible on the way out. If not, how many pitons did she lose in the process?)
”At least I agree with this suggestion.” Navi would start heading in the direction of the stream they passed previously, kicking a foot out to shake any excess guano off her boots every couple steps.
