The entryway is a 10x10 room. Two things strike you immediately. First, something violent has happened here. Second, position comes with perks, because the finely crafted furniture has been tossed about the room and expensive tapestries have been ripped from the walls. A wardrobe to your left, has had the doors ripped off. At the other end of the room, a set of stairs leads up, and beside it there is a closed door. On the door, there is a fresh bloodstain about waist high.

Ulrich will pull out his light crossbow and then will move to the door and place his ear on it to see if he can hear anything from inside, while keeping his eyes on the stairs to see if anything is up there.

Navi would almost hop in glee at her chance to pull out her axe and shield to have at the ready. It would take everything for her not to contradict her previous statement by hooting and hallering, and banging on her shield to draw what ever it was to them. She’d look to the guys with wide eyed and excited, her axe at the ready to bang her shield for taunting, waiting for them to finish their investigations.
It is a simple simple pine, sturdy pine door with a simple latch (without lock). The blood stain is definitely a smear, as if someone leaned against it and then moved inside.
Navi will look back to the guys, before pressing her ear to the door to see if she can hear anything. She’d be willing to try to force the door open should they desire to check this room further.
"We might as well push on further into the room, obviously we need to see who barricaded themselves in there." Ulrich will try and help Navi push the door.
Pressing your ear to the door and listening very closely, you can definitely hear two hushed voices in the room beyond. One male and one female judging by the sounds, the male's voice hisses and the female's has a frightened quality.
As you push on the door, furniture behind slowly scrapes and squeals in protest against the floor.
"Get behind me, fool," Tomas Via's voice hisses with pain as the door gives.
As Navi and I push, I will call out, "We mean you no harm if you do not attack. We are investigating the issues that are going around town at the moment."
Navi would look back to the guys, shrug, and head in to the Govenor's residence.

Since no one seems as eager to move ahead, Navi would take it upon herself to follow the blood stain into the next room.

Clicking the latch and pushing the door, it comes up short with the squeal of wood on stone. Obviously it has been barricaded from the inside.
