The force outside the temple is split into three groups. One is hauling the battering ram to the front doors, another is circling the temple in a screeching mob, and the third is heaping burning straw against a rear door. All these groups together would overwhelm your group with ease.
Battering group consists of one dragonclaw two cultists, and six Kobolds. The cultists are handling the ram while the kobolds stand guard in case the town militia mounts a counterattack. The dragonclaw is in charge. The kobold guards are alert, but they are distracted when the circleing passes in front of the temple
This group consists of 4 cultists, 10 Kobolds, and two ambush drakes strung out in a mob that stretches 50 feet. This procession with leaping and whirling kobolds completes one circuit around the temple approximately every eight minutes (two minutes per side).
The back door group consists of 3 cultists and 7 kobolds clustered tightly around the temple’s back door. Their meager fire produces little flame, instead creating prodigious clouds of thick smoke that engulf the back of the temple and blanket the surrounding 30 feet of ground. Everything in the smoke is lightly obscured, and objects or creatures that are seen through more than 15 feet of smoke are heavily obscured
Escoberts office is a dreadful mess so you can see why he didn't want people searching through it. The thieves tools were easy to find as they were in the top drawer just as he said. The keys however aren't anywhere obvious and searching through everything would seem too daunting of a task to continue looking very long. But while pulling open the drawers and shutting them you notice the bottom drawer on the right side doesn't quite shut all the way upon further inspection you pull the drawer out all the way which takes a little bit of work but alas the keys at some point had fallen out and har inside the cabinet behind the drawer.
You are directed to the cellar and told that it might take a bit of muscle to clear the way to the locked iron door for the old tunnel. Give me some strength checks boys

A couple of you aren't quite pulling your weight but the gnome and halfling call more than their weight to make up for it and with that you make short work of clearing away the entrance of the forgotten tunnel quite expeditiously.you try both of the keys finding that the second one unlocks the lock with ease and start your way down the old dusty tunnel.
As you make your way down the dusty tunnel in an order the 6 adventures are not sure what to expect. Zizlu has his unseen servant drag a crossbow bolt on the ground ahead of them to trigger any traps possible. Augustus can't see and keeps bumping into his companions and even hits tackle box in the head with the but of his maul at one point. As you get near enough to the end to see light at the end of the tunnel. You start hearing and some of you seeing rats... A lot of rats. You try to slow down but Augustus doesn't see the warning and takes one more step crushing a rotund rodent with a screech!
