TORMENT MALICHAR (TEAM3) HAS JUST TEAMED UP WITH GAVIN MC CULLICK (NPC) TO TAKE DOWN A MIND FLAYER AT THE HANGING CHICKEN TAVERN (She did most of the work, but was denied the final blow...)
Oh shit! It isn't Torment's fault that Demon Druid Clerics are so in touch with Nature. Keeping it 100.
Damn, team 1s saga seam so epic every time I hear about it 😋 first the fey and now artarxes
Yours are more intense, though :)
I can't resist reading every team's adventures. ^^ Like I said before, every team has its own flavor, and all the adventures are amazing.

Lol, at some point I'm sure Grotex could release some stuff from the Team Evil thread - its been consistently epic.
That would be awesome to read! ^^ It will probably already have to wait, though, since meta-gaming would be too hard to resist if we knew your plots. I already have a little trouble remembering what Edeleth actually knows vs what I picked up reading other threads.

I very deliberately kept away from the other threads, for that reason. Can't wait to read them a couple of months down the line though

Yes, at a certain point I will eventually release the "Red scrolls of Talaveroth". A lot has happened to our beloved vilain (we love to hate him lol), and his story so far is just as epic as the other Players, even though no one even really knows about him. Players so far have only heard rumors about "The Red Lord", and Rosri in particular is the ONLY Character to have discovered Artarxes's name and existence...until his Forces finally confronted Team1. But even then, no one really knows who this mysterious Dragonborn Leader is...or if he is really dead...Tan Tan Taaaaaan....😈
As for the equally mysterious Tortle Archer, even less is known about him....
OOC: the Gingerbread Man is an NPC (14 Players is ALOT for 2 Bad Guys to handle), but Team2 and 3 are starting to finally get an idea of what lies behind the nickname...
Yeah - about that. Expect a few posts begging for additional badguy boons in the future. Having minions is nice, and we almost had team 1 on the ropes there when they overextended over enemy territory, but that kind of thing is hardly likely to be common, especially from now on. Ideally, we will get to have a big boss battle where its, I mean, 2 v 14 or so, in which case it will be up to Team evil to figure out ways to split up and negate the goodguys and their attacks to keep from getting gunned down by rapidfire spells and abilities. I mean, Saerrira's rolling was incredible, and it was just enough to take down the dragonborn, which has already led to other events worthy of the Red Scrolls (love that, btw). In any case, I aim to continue to in villainy for yet a little while. And all that without breaking out my backup characters!
Ah, in case anyone new comes across this thread: Yes! We are still recruiting. In the next few weeks I will be starting a game in a new corner of Talaveroth: The Lowlands! Expect an Eberron feel setting as the technologically advanced Lowlands has recently come under occupation by the perfidious Drow Matriarchy! Intrigue! Politics! Revolution and More! If this sounds fun to you, then it probably is/will be! Don't be intimidated by the hundred plus pages of digital spilled ink - it's all backstory anyway! PM me to start a character creation process, and you too can enjoy the homebrew insanity - I mean wonder - that is Grotex's own homebrew experience of the ages, a dnd pbp par excellence.
(Archaic Juggernaut is a Homebrewed racial variant I created. Basic premise is that they are an early iteration of the juggernaut variant of Warforged, created just after House Cannith infused their creations with sentience, but before they managed to iron out all of the kinks. As a result, the archaic juggernauts stand larger and heavier than later models, but are not nearly as refined. Think Old Republic equipment from Star Wars, but 100 years old and not 10000+. I'm not making HK-47 here, just something that's a hair out of date but still effective.)
Found by a rebel cell in a partially collapsed warehouse on level 8, Magnus was removed from the rubble and brought to the safe house. There, an artificer managed to repair him enough for his natural damage mitigation to begin taking effect. Awakening for the first time in a century, Magnus found himself surrounded by a worried cadre of rebels, hoping that they did not just bring an enemy into their haven. Out of gratitude, and because he has nowhere else to go, Magnus has joined with their cell.
Hadn't noticed that in the prior posts, my bad lol.
If it's an issue I can rebuild into a different class or variant. I was also toying with running a lawful evil character. I'm open to any changes that the already established group would like to suggest.

If you want to make a Bad Guy, you could possibly join Team Evil...its the only one of my teams I'd still allow a couple more Players on...
If so, I might have some requests, as we are pretty well covered in terms of team balance
For the Lowlands game, I would be amenable to a lawful evil pc - played within reason. I think the main thing there is not to feel like your alignment choice is hyper rigid - Magnus might let itself be convinced to believe in a good cause outside of its own ideas.
