Edeleth looks at the Jarl's edict. They are all Knight Inquisitors. He is no longer the only one that the Jarl will call, 'Sir.'
"This is great power, and we must not use it irresponsibly," says Edeleth, immediately thinking of many irresponsible uses the power could be put to. "Well, Sir Rosri...Sir Roscoe...Sir Ozymandias, shall we return to the Hanging Chicken? Or would you prefer to spend the night in the palace and report to Gavin in the morning?"
He is longing for his familiar old room at the tavern, but he is tired to the point of seriously considering just pinning the cable-car pass to his armor and trancing out right in the car itself. If his companions want to check out the palace's luxuries, he will not object.

Sir Rosri did not sit well with Rosri. It made him feel more important then he was.
“if it is alright with you guys, I’d like to return to the inn. I would not be able to relax in a big place like this.”
The royal palace reminded Rosri of when his father had been invited to attend a royal bal. His father had had a specially good year and had brought in a lot of money to a noblemen and that had earned him the invitation. He brought Rosri and Master Loker with him and Master Loker had taken the opportunity to teach Rosri about the ears you didn’t see in a place like this. He had taught Rosri that the nobels were often in competition against each other and had too keep spys in the other houses so they knew what the others where up to. His father were no different, and that was one reason why he kept Master Loker around.
Rosri looked around at the walls, wondering if there where anyone listening right now.
Edeleth nods, amused to see Rosri's reaction to being called 'sir.'
Roscoe is clearly very excited about the new experience of staying in a castle, but would probably leave, disappointed, if they all go, and Rosri understandably wants out, and Zyman appears to have fallen asleep on his feet. It isn't as if they all have to spend the night together.
All the same, Edeleth can't help but feel a twinge of anxiety, as they split the party for the second time that night. It isn't as if there's likely to be an assassin or mind flayer under every pillow here, he tells himself. "I suppose I will get these two tucked in, then, if you don't mind going alone. If you see Gavin before we join you in the morning, please update him on our news. We will meet you at breakfast. Do be careful. These are dangerous times." He hands Rosri the free transit pass (after all, thanks to the rogue he can now afford to pay for his ride in the morning.)
Once everything is settled, he speaks to the Jarl's servants about rooms for the rest of the night.

Zyman, snapping out of a trance like stated at being handed the edict, bows deeply. Hearing the offer to stay the night in the palace. "Your highness, if it please you, I would love to take the opportunity to stay in the castle tonight and to study in your library. Part of the reason I was able to help you today is the knowledge I gained from the city's library, and I am sure there would be extremely informative and interesting books here."
Once standing upright, he shoots the others an apologetic look. He still struggled to manage the power within well… while he didn't tear the fabric of the plane this time, he was still left exhausted and catatonic. Hardly befitting a knight.

Once he had relaxed and his mind had cleared, and the presence of the newcomer had stopped giving him nervous twitches, Edeleth remembers something.
As they had been leaving the Granit Palace, a dwarf had handed him a sealed parchment. Edeleth, not feeling able to cope with anything else at the time, had shoved it into his cloak without looking at it. He gets out of the water now and goes to where he had left his possessions. His armor and cloak had been cleaned and laid out neatly, probably by some spell. The parchment is still in the pocket, pushed down beside his letter of introduction from King Celairatar.
It is thin, only a single sheet, but the familiar seals show that the letter had come from his home kingdom of Lomalos in the Westwoods.
He cracks them open and reads the page with growing consternation, before returning to the bath and addressing his companions.
"Once more the Three Peaks has wrapped its stony fist around my future," Edeleth says gloomily. "It seems I will not be leaving this city any time soon. I have been appointed Ambassador of Wood Elves to the Six Clans of Nâr Barâk." He could always refuse the honor, but it would mean never being able to look the royal family in the face again.
"What is more, I have been instructed to find lodgings more suitable to my station, and funds have been provided to do so."
"I hope I can rely on you all to help find a house," he adds. "Wood Elf embassy or not, it will not be my home unless all my friends see it as their own home as well."
"On the bright side...it seems we will have that garden before long."

As always, Roscoe's enthusiasm cheers him up. "I will really need all of you," he confesses. "Especially in the current situation, any house we take will need Zyman to thoroughly vet it for magical dangers, Rosri's expertise in discovering any secret passages or rooms before enemies can use them against us, and Roscoe, of course, for mole-smashing."
