Chronero - Single Player DnD

Tomoe walks to her room. Just before she leaves her friends she says in a flat tone. We need to move. It is not safe here and I do not want to be here anymore.

Kate says with a sigh, "Lucia, I need you to come with me to find a new place to hole up in. I'm all tapped out and I'm guessing you are too."

They head out to find a new place to stay.

(Sorry for the three deleted posts. I misread you last post and said something that made no sense.Then bad internet made it get posted three times)

Tomoe is now alone in the room. The only sign of Zhao left is the blood stain on the wooden floor.

Being left alone is what Tomoe wanted.  But her heart and mind are not at peace. Soon she finds herself in a dark place and leaves the hideout. She wanders around the city at night and finds herself in the diurnal distract. 

While wondering the city, (Before going into the Diurnal District) she hears someone speak to her, "You have lost someone close to you, haven't you?" She sees that the one speaking to her is an elven man in a black hooded robe. There is a strange presence about the man, the nature of which, Tomoe can't exactly pin down.

I...do not wish to tall about it...

The man says, "You do not have to talk about it. It is clear from how you move... how you look. However, Death doesn't have to mean there's no way of bringing the loved one back. We can help you. Our clerics... they have divine powers... powers that allow them to bring back the dead."

I am no mood for jests of false hope.

"It is no jest or false hope. We can prove it right in front of your eyes. All we require is the body. It takes no more than 1 hour."

I left her at the temple of Abphany. I do not know the gods of this kindom very well. Which god would grant such a blessing ?

"We will tell you but our god is a god of death and as such, people fear him. However, if you wish to have your loved one back, we can tell you. We can tell you everything if you wish to go through with the ritual."

I..I do not think this is right. Death and life is not something for us to meddle with...I...I have to go. Tomoe will try to rush off. Her heart hurts even more now at turning down a chance to have her sister back. 

(Tomoes depression might get worse than Kate's)

As Tomoe runs, she runs through the crowds she bumps into a figure and falls to the ground. Looking up, it's the same Elven man. How he got ahead of Tomoe is unknown. He says, "It is fine. Your decision is yours. However, please do think it over. If you change your mind, you can find us in the streets at night. However, it only applies should you not tell anyone that you've met us. Our god... and his people... we do not like to be the center of attention. Goodbye." He walks off into the crowd and seemingly disappears.

Tomoe is confused, by many things. And now this. She picks herself up and begins to wander in the darkness. 

After an unknown amount of time passes, she finds herself in a slave market. The vast majority of slaves here are women for in The Brass City, there is a higher demand for female slaves to force them to work in brothels and as personal slaves to nobility. Male slaves are more common in The City Of Haze as more laborers are needed there. Among the slaves, she notices a young tiefling girl in very revealing clothes. She looks to be about 19 though heavily malnourished.

DM: This slave girl is Mystery by the way. Feel free to buy/free her. It won't cost gold mechanically. 

Tomoe snaps hour of her haze. Where am I?

The tiefling girl looks around, checking for to see if the abusive slave masters are within hearing distance.

You are in the slave markets mistress. 

Tomoe looks confused. How did I get here..she says to herself as a Brutish looking man approaches(the slave master, that would he the DMs role?)

(Yeah, I guess)

The slave master looks at the confused but definitely noble looking Tomoe and says, "Oi, you here to buy slaves miss? You can get some good ones here. Are you looking for a man or a woman? We have both here. Any race you want."

I uh...yes ...um woman please..Tomoes mind is not its usual self, but things have changed today, she may not he the same...why shouldnt she have a slave. One cannot get attacked to property after all.

Mystery coughs, she is not in peak heal...or she wanted attention. She risks the slavers ire and speaks up. Please mistress, I would make a good servant to a noble such as yourself.

The man kicks Mystery in the waist and says, "You! Devil Child! Quiet Down!" He then turns to Tomoe with a grin, a few of his teeth are missing, "Do not mind this one young miss. Now," He extends a hand to direct Tomoe to all the female slaves on sale. He says, "Please, chose one to your liking." 

Mystery doubles over in pain, almost throwing up, as Tomoe is led away.

Tomoe examines the other female slaves. She breaths a sigh of relief at bot seeing the very young tiefling girl she once aided here...tiefling girl. The though lingers in her mind. You..have some exquisite stock sir...what of that one back there, the tiefling girl who spoke out of turn. I think I like her.
