He states a price (Not important since I won't subtract it from your sheet.)

Tomoe reexamines the tiefling, now on the ground as her stomach still hurts. Tell me girl...do you have any special skills? 

Mystery looks up at tomoe and glances over to the slaver for a moment. I have few skills beyond a bedchamber mistress. To that end I will impress you I'm sure.

Tomoe blushes. That is...not what I meant. I have no need for a bed warmer. Can you do anything else?

mystery takes a moment to try to think of something. I can read and write mistress. The brothel owner who used to own me thought it was funny to teach one such as myself literacy.  She looks again to the slaver for a moment to gauge his reaction not wanting to get beat again. And I can use a little magic, as can many of my kind, mistress.

Does she have a name? Tomoe asks the slaver 

The slaver says, "Names can be changed to suit your needs, my lady."

Is that so, then the deal is done. Tomoe will pay up and take ownership of the tiefling.

You did that. The slaver happily accepts the cash and hands Tomoe the keys to Mystery's Slave collar. Also the chain that is attached to it. He advises, "The collar is magical. If you say the command word, it will tighten down and cut off the slave's air flow until they go night-night. Stuff like this became standard after one to many of the shits attacked their masters to escape."

Thank you. I will keep this one in line. Tomoe takes the keys and chain, bids the slaver fair well and leads the tiefling away. Tomoe now remembers that Kate and Lucia are out looking for a new hideout. Tomoe has no idea what time of night it is and will try to find her way back with her slave in tow.

Do you have a name? Tomoe asks during the time it takes to make it back.

I do not mistress. All I can remember is this life. 

So, you are a mystery 

If that is what mistress wants, then it shall be what I am.

The rest of the journey is in silence.

Meanwhile Kate and Lucia got back and are looking quite worried. "Where do you suppose Chief went?" "Don't know. Probably went out to clear her head after..." Lucia and Kate stand around in silence for a bit. "You don't think that she..." Kate shakes her head.

Then Tomoe shows up. Lucia gives her girlfriend a hug and says, "Where have you been? I was worried about you?" Then she notices Mystery and looks back to Tomoe with a surprised look on her face.

I...took a walk and got lost..I uh...did some... Tomoe does not know how to introduce the new acquisition. 

Mistress has purchased me from the slave markets and has named me Mystery. Mistress, it is quit late, do you require anything?

No, just...go find some food. There should be some here somewhere and I need you to be healthy.

Lucia looks confused. She says, "Um... Chief? Buying slaves... I didn't think you were the type." Kate just stays in the corner of the room and observes everything happening silently.

I...Tomoe is unsure how to explain. Is it not better that I have her and not some cruel beast that would abuse her?

Lucia seems to think for a bit and says, "Yeah... I guess you're right. Good on you Chief." She then continues, "Me and Kate are both drained from the battle and it gets dangerous at night. We weren't able to find any new hideout. We'll try again tomorrow."

It is settled then. I am ready to be done with this day. 

Mystery returns having found some food and quickly eaten it.

Mistress,  if you've had a rough day my skills in the bed would help leave you physically satisfied,  letting your day end well.

Tomoe blushes and tries to hide her face from Lucia.

At this point Kate steps in and says to Lucia and Mystery, "I'm going to go have a word with Tomoe. Excuse us." She quickly leads Tomoe outside and says in a low voice, "Alright, what's the deal with the slave? You know that we're going to go after Boss Rat sooner rather than later. Why buy a slave now? What are you thinking?"

I..do not know. Tomoe says slightly agitated.  I am not even sure how I got to the slave markets. I am u sure of a great many things right now. Tomoes tone shifts downward as her sadness resurfaces. I... Tomoe trails off and doesnt finish her last statement.

Kate shakes her head and says, "All I'm saying is... This girl is going to die if we take her to someplace as dangerous as the Rat Liver Base. Just... be careful with her okay?" Kate then walks back inside.

Tomoe nods and thinks to herself. what am I even doing.

mystery asks again. Mistress, do you require my skills tonight? 

Tomoe flushes again. I uh...that's not why....I...help me Lucia...

Lucia looks a bit confused but being a detective, she does have her wits about her. She says to Mystery calmly, "Listen, Chief here did not really buy to pleasure her at night. She bought you because... well... she felt you're particular skills, the ones outside the bedroom, would be useful. Also, she didn't want to see you continue to suffer at the hands of that Slaver."

Mistress seems kind, and in alot pain. Perhaps I was to forthcoming in trying to comfort her.She took me from that place and I will always be grateful. She even named me. 

Tomoe, still flushed, says I cannot say what we do is any less harmful than the slavers, but I will not force to do anything you do not wish to do. There, that is settled. I'm going to bed. Feel free to sleep where ever you are comfortable.

Tomoe goes to bed and the night passes... very badly because of all the things that have happened during the day. She has trouble falling to sleep normally. She only gets the rest she needs after her body and mind goes blank from the day's exhaustion catching up with her. She wakes up in the morning the next day and realizes something.

The elven guy she met last night said he could bring Ingrid back. Something deep within Tomoe tells her that the man wasn't lying. However, the Temple of Abphony would have also finished embalming Ingrid's body by now. If she wants to ship the body back home, today would be the best day for it. Combined with the time limit of 1 day the Elven guy put her on, the decision has to be made now. Does she try to find the elf and bring him Ingrid's body?

Tomoe looks around to find Lucia seemingly asleep next to her and Mystery already awake. She brushes her lovers hair and whispers. There is only one other I have loved more than you.  I have a chance to get her back. I pray this is the right thing to do as my heart aches. She leans over and gently kisses her girlfriend. She gets dresses quietly and takes Mystery to find the elven man.
