Chronero - Single Player DnD

Tomoe reawakens. She groans herself and says If she took my advice, with Capt Seraph. Where did Ingrid and Mystery go ? She slowly starts to sit up. Her head still hurts but it's tolerable now. I had forgotten why I rarely drink. I get to hard to control my libido and am a bit of a lightweight. She smirks, remembering her kiss with Kate followed by a night with Lucia. I suppose it was worth it. Should we get dressed and find our friends?

Lucia nods. "Kate can take care of herself and I trust the Captain to not leave her alone to wander the streets drunk. Mystery and Ingrid on the other hand... we should probably make sure they aren't getting into trouble. We can also grab... brunch."

That sounds like a solid plan. Tomoe finds a pot of water near by and try to rehydrate as she and Lucia redress. When ready they head downstairs togather and see of this place has a brunch menu.

Mystery and Ingrid seem to be doing fine. Tomoe and Lucia encounter them outside their halls. Well... they encountered Ingrid who was standing next to their door for some reason. Mystery was still in her room. Lucia says, "Oh Chief, don't worry about the bill. I already paid for our rooms. It includes food."

The bar didn't have too much in the way of food options. Really it was just some basic things and oily foods designed to fight off hangover. Lucia says, There was bacon, eggs, some fries and a few burgers in case someone wanted something heavier. They offered butter toast too. While ordering, Lucia pokes Tomoe at the side and points towards a new merc that just entered the place.

The guy was dressed in a white fur-coat worn over green and yellow Half-Plate. The armor was more than likely magical with how it glowed. The man had short blonde hair and slightly tan skin. He was a half-elf. He had the same Sunglass styled Golem Gear that Prya had. He wore black fingerless gloves. He didn't seem to be holding any weapon... it was probably hidden. There were hard parts of his veins which were wire-like and had a very faint green shade to it. It indicates this guy had more than just the eye-piece. He had other Golem Gear as well. "He doesn't seem like your average merc. What do you think his deal is?"

He looks like what I do not want Kate to become. I get the feeling he is as much mach8ne as he is a man. And that makes him dangerous.

Lucia shakes her head and says, "Not sure how this man is holding up but.. if that makes you uncomfortable, you do not want to encounter a crazed Full-Forged. They are people who added so much Golem Gear into their system that you can't even tell if they were men or women or what race they were."

The man goes over to the Bartender and asks, "Hey. Has Ikarov arrived here yet?" The bartender shakes his head. "When do you think he'll arrive?" "He usually comes here for lunch." "Right. Get me some iced tea. I'm going to wait for him here. While I wait, I've got tickets to the Mercy Mercury concert. When's that?" The bartender looks dumbfounded, "Did you not look at the tickets? The date's on it. You missed it by more than a week!" The man looks down at his ticket and looks back at the Bartender, "Right. My bad. When's the next concert?" "You didn't hear? Some guys tried to assassinate her. She's not going to be playing here anytime soon." "Oh. Any idea if she's got a new gig lined up? I'm a big fan of her and I want to go see." Bartender shakes his head. "Hm... well I got a friend who runs a pretty snazzy bar in City of Haze. Think you can give me any tips on how to get into contact with her or her agent? He'd really like to have her play at his joint. Boost business you know? He can pay well too." The bartender says, "Sorry bud. I have no idea how to contact her. Is that everything?" "Yeah... thanks." He goes over and sits at a table and begins reading his issue of the Red Unicorn Magazine. It's the same copy that Tomoe bought.

Tomoe is a bit curious and trys to eat slower to wait to see who this Ikarov person is.

It's going to take at least an hour for this Ikarov to arrive. Does Tomoe wait that long?

Probobly not. After maybe 20 to 30 minutes she would give up and go look for Kate. Starting with the current residence and if she isn't there, Seraphs place.

Tomoe waits and eats slowly to see what this half-elf, half-machine does. However this Ikarov doesn't show up in the next 30 minutes. As she's getting ready to leave and look for Kate, the tan barbarian enters the bar, finding Tomoe first. Kate glances at the man in the fur coat but then approaches Tomoe. She seems a bit happier and oddly well rested. It's a bit uncommon for someone passing the night in passion.

Kate says, "You're still here? Good. I don't have to go looking for you in the whole city."

We were just about to do the same thing. How was your evening after Lucia and I went to bed?

Kate looks away and says, "It was... nice. We had a long walk through the streets and talked about a lot of things. A lot of stuff I don't even remember since they weren't super meaningful but it was still really fun. He's a little grumpy but otherwise nice. We ended up not getting in bed together but we are going to have a second date sometime in the future." Kate then remembers something the two talked about and says, "Hey Tomoe, what's your opinion on me getting more Golem Gear? I was talking to Seraph about it. I was really slow on the draw when it came to facing Gokul so I was thinking maybe some Enhanced Nerves for better speed and dexterity might give me a bigger edge in the fights we get ourselves into. Seraph says he thinks its a bit too risky since I already have a metal arm and getting nerves wired would be much more risky than a limb replacement. I still think I can handle it though. What do you think?"

I agree with Seraph. It is dangerous and you risk going further down the road of becoming one of those almost monstrous crazy types who replace their body and want to kill everything. Like Yuno but made of metal. Would you even be real at that point? And I I not want to hear, it's just one more surgery. That's how it starts. You remember how that Prea is. (can't remember her full name) Tomoe would change the subject before Kate could pose a counter argument. She is happy her friend and doesn't want to spoil the mood.

But enough of that, I am so glad you had a good time. Looks like we both are winners.  Do not worry, I will keep my promise. But if you are ever curious, all you have to do is ask and Lucia and I will be excited to sate your curiosity.

she sits back down at the table with everyone Now, we are a bit short of our goal. Should we go back to that first set of ruins? Or would anyone like to test their current skills at the arena?

Kate sits down and says, "Well I don't mind fighting in the arena if you have Revival Potions on reserve. More safer that way We can also try searching for merc work if we need to." Lucia grins at Kate, "Don't forget, Kate. You lost the bet we had. Time for an outfit change." Kate grumbles, "Fine... What do you want me to wear?"

Tomoe thinks to herself that keeping her promise to not seduce Kate without her permission may be harder than she thought. But she soldiers through and says. I do not think it has to be anything extreeme. Perhaps something in-between your normal outfit and that delightful outfit we picked out last night. Perhaps a sleevless top that hugs you just tight enough to show your chests shape but loose enough to not give away too much. Oh and it should show off your midriff. Just a taste anyways. And maybe a combat skirt that hangs just below the hips, but with some undershorts so you do not show off the goods accidentally when you move. And maybe some tall boots so that there is a gap of flesh between the skirt and the boot. It is sexy but not slutty and is practical to move in combat.

(and I just realized I described something very close to Tina's outfit from FF7 remake. I think she and Kate have similar body shapes so it probably works)

Kate thinks about it and says, "Fair enough. I don't have anything like that though so we'll have to go shopping for it."

One shopping montage later.

I think you look fantastic. Do you not agree Lucia?

While shopping, they first tried out the outfit where white was the dominant color but it seemed to not quite work for Kate. So they got it in green being the dominant color with white there as well.

Kate punches the air a bit and says, "Somehow I feel like this would fit Lucia more but it's okay. We should get lunch and figure out what we want to do for money."

Sounds good. We have a few options. 

After lunch what do you do for cash?
