If there: Rawk would suggest, "I agree with moving along. Robyn and I can hover behind the army in the trees and make sure we aren't being followed."
If not: Rawk flies around happily with Robyn periodically landing on high perches to search for paths and potential threats. "Part of being a good scout is being able to spot dangerous areas ahead so you can avoid them. See that patch of dirt over there, that's a mud pit. You can tell by the big stick submerged halfway in. It looks pretty deep so it would be best to avoid it." she says pointing to the spot with her wing.
Your conversation abruptly shifts and Faelar nods before turning away and begins shouting orders. The army group springs into action and you hear the horn blast through the jungle. Rawk, you hear the horn and immediately turn towards the army group and swoop down from the branches following Robyn who guides you directly to Darion and the others. They fill you in on the potential threat and within a minute the army group is mobilized and sets off on course for the safe path. Another minute passes before you all hear two heavy foot falls farther in the distance. You pause while the army group continues to march and hear another footfall then another. Rawk, you can tell by the resonance that the creature is moving away at an angle rather than directly away. While your group heads southwest the creature appears to be heading south or southeast. you relay this to the group and commanders before taking back to the skies to resume your scouting duties. A tense hour of rapid marching passes before you allow the thought of safety to enter your minds.
Arion slowly drops from formation and walks around to the group excluding Rawk who continues to circle around the area with Robyn. "It appears the threat has passed us by this time. Shall we continue at this pace in hopes of reaching Dom-Gar tonight or should we slow our pace and plan to make camp in the jungle?" she asks. Elia looks around at the jungle, growing ever more familiar with your location and adds, "If we continue at this pace along the safest path it will take us between 6- 7 hours to reach Dom-Gar. If we slow and make camp before sunset, as we have been, our camp will be 6 hours march away from Dom-Gar."
(It is almost 3pm in the day, nightfall is around 7:30-8:00. You have multiple options for pace of travel, Elia only gave the fastest and slowest times.)

If below 11, Erro lets his excitement at getting back to Dom-Gar get to him and he suggests marching on at the quick pace to arrive in the village by the end of the night. If above 11, Erro will suggest why be reckless now? Let us take a measured pace, make camp, and make for Dom-Gar in an orderly fashion.
His mind is hardly made up and could be swayed the other way with a good argument.
Darion frowns a little "I hate this jungle, and am as eager as you to get back to relative safety, Erro. But I fear that at night, we run the risk of people becoming detached from the group, getting lost and perhaps struggling more to see threats. Let us make what time we can, but I suggest we set camp for the night!"
Good, they were able to avoid that danger. Then Ellis listened to their options and some of the others before agreeing with Darion. "Yes, trying to go on while it's night is way too dangerous. So we should set camp for the night as well." he would say back to everyone, nodding.
“Oh you’re right, drat it. What’s another night in the jungle after so many? I shouldn’t think my skin has any surface area left that hasn’t already been bitten by the bugs anyway...”
Arion nods. "Understood. We'll continue at this pace to make good time then stop to make camp before nightfall." she says and moves back into formation. You continue to march for about 3 and a half hours making excellent time that's to Rawk, Robyn and the scouts pathfinding. The rapid pace and humidity begin to take a toll as the sun slowly creeps lower in the sky. Your clothing along with everyone else's is drenched in sweat from the march. After 3 hours of marching Rawk and the other scouts begin to search for a suitable camp ground and are able to find a small cliff along a meander of a dried up creek bed. With the location found, everyone eagerly sets aside their gear and starts to set up camp.
The shamans and Elia each discuss their plans and spread out to begin casting their spells. You watch as the cliff wall bursts into life with vines of honey suckles and berries. Around the camp the local fauna flourishes creating a thick hedge around the camp while the flat creek bed is left open for soldiers to traverse and provide escape routes. The soldiers each rush to perform their duties while you take a moment to rest and reflect. The injured soldiers are assisted into tents, some are nearly recovered while others still need to be carried in from the cart. After about 45 minutes the camp is complete and the shamans have picked the vines free of berries and sweet nectar collected. You smell the sweet aroma of brewing tea and take a handful of the juicy black and red berries. They are tart but quite filling, a welcomed change from the dried nuts and meat rations. A few minutes later a pair of shamans pass by offering the tea. You take a draft from the small clay pots and immediately feel a rush of sweet refreshing coolness glide down your throat to your stomach. Given the day you've endured, it takes heavenly.
Once everything is in order you quickly doff your armor and wet clothing that clings to your skin. You change clothes and it feels liberating. The sun sets casting the camp into darkness save the torch and campfire lights. Arion and Faelar stop by to check in and commend you on your choice. "I don't know if they would've made it safely if we continued. Many are near exhaustion. It was a wise choice to stop here." Arion says. Faelar's face is in its normal emotionless state and he adds, "Our soldiers would persevere regardless of the challenge. Though they are thankful for the reprieve." You aren't sure if it's pride or just Faelar's nature, but before you can reply Arion smiles and pats Faelar on the shoulder. "Yes, we are all thankful. We depart at dawn. According to Elia we are about 3 hours march away from Dom-Gar. Rest well." and with a short bow they take their leave of you.

Before Rawk settles in for the night she goes over to Darion and Robyn. "Thank you for the assistance today Robyn. You're quite the scout and thank you Darion for allowing her to keep me company." she chirps and pats Robyn on a head lightly with her feathered wing. "You are more than welcome to join me tomorrow." she chirps leaning in closer to Robyn's face. "Good night." She says to the whole group then turns and head over to the nearest tree and flies up to a perch where she sits and rests her back against the trunk of the tree.
The night passes by quietly. Whether that is from the favor of the gods or the relative proximity to the village of Dom-Gar, you aren't sure. You are thankful for the comfortable night's rest and feel a small chill in the air as you awaken. As your eyes adjust to the glow in the air you can see that a dense fog has settled into the jungle over night. Your visibility is low, only able to make out shapes rather than faces beyond 15 feet. Still you prepare for the remaining march as does the rest of the group, though a bit hesitantly due to the fog. You set off in what you assume is the right direction lead by Rawk who is able to soar above the low fog and see ahead. It does however reduce the ability of the scouts to spot the mudholes and dangerous plants along the way. The first hour passes by slow and uneventful but for a few hiccups. It is not those threats that now cause the army group to come to a sudden and complete stop.
Rawk- You soar ahead of the group with Robyn scouting out your path. You try to stay within a couple hundred feet of the army group due to the fog and as you crest the upper layer of fog you notice a tower ahead in the distance. The sunbaked stone structure stands out against the wilderness in a small clearing. Standing nearly 100 feet tall and 20 feet wide the square tower looms above the small field of grass and ferns, but it is not the tower that causes your heart to skip a beat. Standing atop the tower are three yuan-ti guards. You dart into the branches of the nearest tree and watch for a moment assuring yourself they didn't see you. A tense few seconds pass an your presence appears unnoticed. In the distance you hear the footsteps of the army group and swoop down into the fog to warn the others. You would know the edge of the field is about 200 feet away and the tower 280 feet away.
You lad and immediately tell Faelar and Arion to halt the troops quietly while drawing the attention of the group. The word quickly spreads and you wait a moment listening to the air for any sound of movement. You explain the location of the tower directly to your east and the presence of the yuan-ti. Faelar's face turns to a scowl, "This is what we came here to take care of. We should kill them while we have the chance." he says in a firm whisper. Arion nods but counters in her soft gentle voice, "If we can assure their demise I agree it would be good to get rid of them. However, we must assure none escape to warn the others of our large numbers. The yuan-ti are cunning creatures and the knowledge of our combined efforts would destroy any chance of using this to their surprise. We could also just use the fog as cover and attempt to pass by at a safe distance without alarming them."
The choice is yours, fight or hide? Everyone roll stealth and initiative! If you choose fight, how do you wish to do so: will you incorporate the army group? If so, how? The more people you utilize the higher the stealth DC will be.
Finally a chance to enact some vengeance. The tension in the air was palpable. This was a time for cool heads, despite the passion that burned in his chest.
”We’ll need to be careful about this. This fog may be the blessing of the gods and we perhaps shouldn’t pass it by. We couldn’t just sneak on by. If we go in, though, perhaps it would be best to try to set up a perimeter around the tower so that we can catch any that flee. I worry that the fog would work against us if any of them get away!”
Darion feels an urge to act, to finally take a blow against the Yuan-ti "It seems unlikely to me that we would be able to sneak the entire army past the tower, without running the risk of detection - and taking a circuitous route would cost us time, as well as run the risk of running into more Yuan-ti. I feel that defeating the Yuan-ti here is probably the least risky thing to do..."
He pauses for a moment, wondering how true that was, but then focusses on his mantra in such situations - too much overthinking is what gets you killed.
"However, rather than throwing the whole army at them, this might be something that could be done with a smaller strike team, if the garrison is not large. Then, if there is failure, or some Yuan-ti get away, they will hopefully not realise the extent of the force arriving." he gestures at his party for this.
"Do we know the layout of this tower, how many floors, or if it is little more the a staircase? That would would give an indication of what might be faced"
Ellis was shocked to hear that there were Yuan-ti here, thinking as he listened to the others. "It sounds like defeating them would be the best option, with a smaller team and then everyone else outside in case any try to get away." he said back, agreeing with Darion's idea.

(sorry for late post! Time got away from me.)
Erro will agree to move on out, not interested in any more dinosaurs.
After so much misfortune Erro is not interested in risking the plants either.
