"I'm not sure how many levels there are but it the tower was around 100ft tall. On top there were three yuan-ti. There could be more inside or on the ground hidden by the fog. I agree we should attack and that a small group is probably best. Should we use the best fighters or some of the shamans? Once we attack I think it would be good to have the army group rush in to try and surround the tower to prevent any from escaping." Rawk adds. Her excitement was growing and her body unconsciously began to bob up and down.
While you discuss tactics the army group begins to murmur amongst themselves quietly. The fog has been burning away throughout the morning and visibility is now 40 ft. Faelar and Arion look to the group expectantly and Faelar says, "We need a plan and enact it soon. I will request for 4 of my best soldiers." looking back to his soldiers. He whispers a few words into a couple soldiers ears and the murmurs die down. Arion nods and adds, "I will ask for two of our shamans to come forward."

Erro nods at the soldiers, honored to be joined by them. “Right then, now the fun begins. Remember, we cannot allow any to escape to bring word of our presence back to the others.”
((Sorry for not posting, got a positive result for the dreaded plague the other day, all plans suddenly up in the air. I'm fine, no symptoms, may even be a false positive, but we are confined to home for 10 days, joy!))
Darion turns to the others "Rawk, are you able to carry someone else up to the top of the tower? If so, I could get both of you up there unseen. It would be highly risky, but could mean we get a drop on those guards?"
That’s a fun idea. Erro could go up, but maybe it would be best to send a spellcaster with the Barbarian? Of course, there will be plenty of fighting to be done up there.
((Glad to hear you at least got an easy case of it. I’m thankful to have avoided it long enough to get a vaccine first.))
"Yes, I can carry one person with me. I think Erro would be the best choice. We are a bit... tougher than most." she chirps trying not to offend the others.
Darion is amused at Rawk and Erro trying not to offend him and Ellis!
Darion grins when Erro suggests sending the Yuan-ti falling "We are on the same page, Erro! If I make you and Rawk invisible, hopefully you should be able to get to the top. I was thinking, perhaps one of us could act as a decoy at the bottom - wander out in plain sight, hopefully prompting them to come and look at the edge. If it is just one of us, hopefully they won't immediately raise the alarm. That should mean you and Rawk can have an opportunity to give them a gentle prod. You'll become visible as soon as you attack, but it will give you an edge...."
((If we do go for this plan, Rawk and Erro would have advantage on their stealth I believe?))
Rawk and Erro- make stealth checks with advantage! (in case you go through with the plan.)
Elia chimes in while you continue to discuss plans. "I do think this plan a good one if executed properly. The army is growing more impatient however and may give away our presence the longer we continue to converse. If a distraction is what's needed I can summon a few animals to create the diversion and reduce the risk of harm to one of us." A quickly muffled clang of a metallic object sounds in the distance beyond your vision and Elia winces reflexively. Arion and Faelar nod in agreement while a few soldiers slowly and quietly make their way towards you. You wait tensely for another few seconds listening to see if the clang made any difference on the yuan-ti but hear no alarms or voices.
Erro is down with the plan, though he looks up at the 100 ft tower and gulps, thinking about the height. He holds out his arms in a “T” position waiting to be unceremoniously airlifted by Rawk. He closes his eyes a bit as Darion does his incantation, still somewhat wary of his magic.
Ellis was listening to everyone, thinking. "It's okay." he said, not offended by what Rawk or Erro said at all. It did make sense for it to be those two after all. "If the animals aren't enough of a distraction, I can always draw their attention with my singing and once close enough cast a spell to charm them so if it works on all of them, we can just tie them up. If any try to escape or we want to have them fall, I can also cast a spell to silence them so they won't make noise if they fell or even if someone attacks them physically with a weapon." he then said back to everyone.
((Okay, lets do this thing, channeling the spirit of leeroy))
Darion casts invisibility at 3rd level on Erro and Rawk "It will last for an hour - I suggest we give you a minute to get in position, then if Ellia wants to do her distraction, that should hopefully get their attention!"
"That gives me an idea to use the army group. Faelar, have a portion of your soldiers set up a U formation quietly in the jungle. Elia, have your animals run back into the jungle towards the center of the army group. Any that chase after Elia's animals will run right into a kill zone. Our small group of soldiers and others can move around to the opposite side while Erro and I attack from the top." Rawk suggests and flies up above Erro and picks him up under his arms. "Give us one minute to climb into the air quietly then we will wait for your signal Elia."
Elia, Faelar and Arion each think for a moment before nodding in agreement. "We will do what we can." Faelar says with a hopeful smile. You can tell by his grin that he likes this idea. Elia replies, "I will try to coordinate with the group but with the fog, it will be difficult to get the location exactly. When you hear the howl, attack." Everyone silently nods while Faelar and Arion slink away into the fog to instruct the army group. Rawk and Erro fly straight up disappearing into the fog cloud above.
Rawk & Erro- you can hear the subtle clinks and clangs of metal weapons shields and spears as the army mobilizes as quietly as they can. As you crest the fog cloud you send a wave of fluffy white moisture flying out in all directions. This motion catches the attention of one of the yuan-ti who peers in your direction but you continue to climb and can see the yuan-ti still staring as the spot of the disturbed fog cloud. It stares for another few seconds before hissing and sweeping the area again. The light and heat from the sun are beginning to burn away more and more of the fog with patches of near full visibility starting to appear in the field around the tower. In one such patch you see the shadowy form of a figure around the base of the tower holding a spear and patrolling slowly along the ground before the shape disappears into the fog once more. You hear a light high yip of a wolf and see the yuan-ti atop the tower immediately turn to look down into the field. In a patch of light fog you see the figures of multiple wolves, moving too quick to count, pass by the tower and hear exclamations from the yuan-ti. One rushes towards the internal stairway and disappears while the other two peer over the edge looking to catch a glimpse of the commotion.
Darion & Ellis-As you inch closer to the tower you hear Elia begin casting a spell quietly and eight glowing orbs of green light appear around her. Each orb flickers and grows transforming into a wolf. With the wolf pack and squad of soldiers around you, you feel a sense of safety but still your heart begins to pump quicker. You continue east and can see the break in the trees ahead where the field starts. Elia motions the wolves forward and tries to gauge the location of the tower based on Rawk's description. 17'They'll run around until they find the tower or a yuan-ti then howl and sprint west into the jungle." Elia says The wolves set out into the fog and begin making small short yipping sounds as if they are on the prowl. You hear the hiss of at least two nearby yuan-ti and can tell the first part of the plan has worked. The 3 archers in your squad notch arrows while the shaman and 3 swordsmen draw their weapons and pull up their shields.
Everyone- you hear the panting of the wolves as they continue their sprint and then the exclamations of yuant-ti "Wolvessss!" from the ground and in the air above..."A good time for a sssnack!" A few seconds pass then you hear a howl and rush in towards the direction of the noise. The fog obscures your vision but after breaching into the field you see random patches of faint haze and spot the first yuan-ti hefting a spear. The human body of a man save the neck and head of a brown viper snake. It doesn't notice you at first as it races across the ground after the wolves but stops and turns wide eye'd hissing in your direction with its snake head. Behind the creature you see the large dark shape of the tower.
