The androgynous figure smiles at Tovar. The smile seems almost unnatural as if their face is half paralysed under their tight skin. "Ah. The conglomerate lady leading this camp sent you? I think I have one of the spikes left here. The rest were sent down into the city to our lab for further experimentation. You can look at mine, but I would prefer it if you didn't cut into them or ruin their exterior. I have a collection and would like it as pristine as possible." While talking the humanoid starts wrapping a large burn wound covering the entirety of their dwarven patients arm with linen bandages. The bandages themselves are smeared with a tealish green substance. "It is in the footlocker over in the corner, feel free to look at it while I work. I need to treat this gentleman before I can give you all of my attention."
Ravi approaches the wounded closest to the door. A human man, maybe early 30s. He is half dozed off and there are beads of sweat on his forehead. He grunts as Ravi asks his question, but a slight smirk appears across his face when the dwarf gets spooked by The Cycles ever present gaze. "..heh. I've been better, but it'll take more than a broken leg to break my spirit. He nods down towards his feet. They are currently covered with a blanket, but one side is visibly lumpier and larger than the other. Probably the broken leg under there. "What's a lizard doing 'ere though?"
Ruby sees a cart pulled by a giant goat pass by the contents of the cart are uncertain from this angle but the cartload at least sounds heavy.

Ravi smiles in return. "He is our companion and a practitioner of... naturopathic healing, unless I miss my guess. May I take a look at your leg, friend? I understand that you've been through quite the ordeal."
(Assuming the man gives his consent) The cleric closes his eyes and opens himself to Moradin to guide his eyes and hands- Ravi is better at mending broken timbers than broken limbs.
The man starts smiling a little when The Cycle mentions the word "help", but it quickly fades as the lizard turns and walks right after he gave the patient some hope. "Gee, thanks for the help!"
Tovar, Gunnar and The Cycle all gather in a small cluster to examine the aforementioned spine. As Tovar pulls it out of the box he almost struggles to find it at first as it is hidden under a lot of syringes and medical equipment. He pulls out a 7 to 8 inch long, hard, grey spine with a very slight curve. The spine is about as thick as a knitting pin and has hundreds of small barbs pointing at an angle towards the thicker end of the chitinous weaponry. Pulling one of these out would probably do even more damage than when they first pierced their victims body. Every trace of blood or flesh that might have stuck to it has been washed off and it has an almost polished look in the lantern light of the room. "Quite the marvellous defence mechanism don't you think?" The gaunt medical practitioner talks over their shoulder as they keep on lathering their patient in strong smelling salves and bandages.
While the others are examining the spine our resident dwarf is doing his best at helping another patient. "Sorry mate, but I don't think there is much left to do without magics." As Ravi pulls away the blanket covering the lower half of his body he also uncovers the bruised and broken leg. The leg looks like it was almost crushed earlier, but a steel rig has been built around it, actually puncturing the skin in places. You gather that the rig probably holds the pieces of bone within together and has been installed by one of the healers, but you don't have the knowledge to do anything more about it without magic. Still, the rig is rather impressive.

Gunnar would like to examine the more arcane qualities of the item. Does it seem like something that would be outside of the realm of nature? Perhaps a monstrosity?

Wait. This isn’t a robot? I apparently don’t care.
”Well, looks like getting near these things is out of the question, unless one of you enjoys being personally disemboweled by razor spines.”
Even with the combined efforts of the humans you don't manage do discern much from the barbed spine. Though Tovar notices that the spine is quite heavy and that the organic material that the spike is made of is nice and sturdy. Gunnar fails to think the origin of the spike, but it is sharp. Your smithing side really comes through more than your arcane knowledge and you think that it would make a nice dagger or spear-tip if you had one yourself.
Thin fingers curl over The Cycles shoulder as the gaunt figure steps up to join your small circle. "Isn't it beautiful? To think they actually launched the spikes at our workers is a tragedy. I'd wear spikes like that like an ornament of my monstrous elegance." They smile, a pearly white smile, too white. Disconcerting even. "I am afraid I don't know a lot more since the victims were taken down to HQ yesterday to receive further treatment. If I can be of any more help just let me know." They turn to treat another patient, this one with what seems to be a really bad cough and breathing issues.

"Apologies. This one assumed Ravi could take care of it. This one was... wrong. It shall help."
The lizard takes a small sprig of mistletoe, and speaks a few quiet words. It waves the sprig, and ten large berries begin to grow on it, until they reach a size where they fall off.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
The Cycle notices a small concave pit at the bottom of the spine and traces of skin that has been pulled from the monster as the spine was launched at its victim. Considering the size and heft of the spike and the fact that there probably were a lot of spikes involved probably means that the monsters are at least the same size as you. The Cycle also spots remnants of dark dirt inbetween the barbs, so the creature probably spends time very close to the ground, maybe underneath it at times. (The Cycle comes in with a good roll!)
The man with the broken leg palms the berries and looks over at the doctor who is currently busy with another patient. The man tucks the berries in under his shirt. "Thank you Mr. Lizard, sir, but don't let the doctors see you doing healing spells. They prefer using herbs and new methods. Relying too much on magic makes us weak according to them.." He eats a berry. "..but with this f***ing leg I probably won't walk for months without a little extra help. Thank you again."

As the party heads back down the hill some of you have errands and shopping in minds, others just want to stroll through the town some more. Ruby, on the look for a set of thieves tools and Ravi looking for some iron for whatever Forge Clerics need iron for. For the tools you are told to head to an incredibly large multicoloured tent by some locals. The tent is easy enough to spot among the mustly grey and brown rubble and ruins and it doesn't take long before you spot a giant banner with "THE WEASLERY" written in beautiful cursive. The inside of the tent is almost like a bazaar and you end up finding someone who looks like they might be the person who sells equipment that can be used to pick locks and other shady stuff like that. However right as Ruby is about to pay for her tools Gunnar suddenly remembers that he has some taking up space in the backpack that he isn't using at the moment! What a stroke of luck!
After shopping you head back to the mountain the same guard that lead you to Mrs Stringents office meets you at the door. "The mistrehhh.. boss asked me to follow you to the door." She signals for you to follow. "She also asked me to give you these." The guard pulls out a small leather satchel with what sounds like two items made of glass clicking together inside. "She told me you were good at negotiating and deserved to be taken care of. What did you do?" The guard looks absolutely astounded with the fact that the tiefling actually seemed to find you anything else but incompetent fools. She leads you to far deeper than the office you were in earlier. On the way there you pass several wagons filled with rocks and chunks of ore. She stops at a set of doors, regular sized ones, they are both barred and barricaded. "Anything else you want to do you'll have to do it now. I don't want to open these doors more than I have to." A nervous smile follows.

The Cycle approaches the others with the spine, taking a look at it, trying to determine what manner of creature it may have come from.
