Nemeia nods at Sora's assessment. "We just want to make sure the little girl is safe," she says trying to play into their own kindness. She knew that the assassin would have little reason to cooperate, but that didn't mean she couldn't attempt to sway Konor's opinion of the group even better.
9 enters the cell amd leans against the wall, just staring silently at the assassin. She inspects him from her position and listens carefully to what he has to say, and then adds, “Not very good at your job, are you?”.

Witt, feeling uncomfortable and not particularly useful, wanders off a few feet down the (corridor?). Is there anyone in the next cell? Is there a next cell?
The assassin didn't move other then looking about the room at everyone in the group briefly before eventually settling his eyes back on Sora. For now at least, there is no other motion, hidden or otherwise, as he considers the situation.
"What you're all asking for is typically client confidential information."The assassin shrugs,"Under normal circumstances it would be highly unprofessional for me to reveal such privileged information. But you do make a good point, so I'm willing to consider your offer. Just to make negotiations a little more pleasant, I'll tell you something you might find interesting. I have a name for my employer, obviously, but I like to get to know my clients a bit. Obviously the person who hired me stood to gain from the princess's death. However, the real juicy bit is the person who encouraged my client to hire me in the first place. Make it worth my while and I'll give you more then enough gossip material for a lifetime of fancy parties."
'Dan' flashes Nemeia a smile,"I'm glad you asked. First, it goes with out saying, I'd like to be released. Not simply released, of course, I don't want to be put into a situation where I might get a knife in the back as soon as I step out of this dungeon. And I'm sure you don't want to be put into a situation where I might be tempted to finish out my contract, belated as it might be."He shook his head at the notion,"No no, that simply won't do for either of us. I want a guarantee, even if it requires an escort, that I will be able to safely leave the kingdom. And to get that I'm willing to rat out who hired me. Doing so will no doubt make it much more difficult for them to pay me, assuming you move against them quickly enough. Thus you get the person who actually wants the princess dead, and I am left without a shred of incentive to complete the contract. In exchange I leave this whole town behind me without a target on my back."
Sora thought carefully on Dan's words trying to see what sort of game this guy was playing. He wanted out sure, but what would he do from there? Could they really trust him to simply walk away? On the other hand, he had little choice in the matter. Captured as he was, he held very few playing cards. Though they were cards they really wanted. "Is that it then? You mentioned there was someone else behind your client pushing things around. You're not going to tell us who he is?"
Kal follows Whitt but remains within earshot. Mostly he is watching Konor as he reacts to the questions being asked. If mention of the princess spurs any specific emotions.
Not finding anything of particular interest up the corridor, Witt glances sideways at Kal. I hope they know what they're doing,he whispers. Do you really think it's a good idea to release an assassin like this? Maybe we should ask him to join our group instead. I think we could show him a better way to live, don't you?
(This is far enough away from the interrogation cell that Witt thinks the assassin won't be able to overhear him.)
'Dan' flashed Sora a smirk,"That's true, if you want to know who's pulling a string or two in the background, I'm willing to part with that information as well. But additional information requires additional compensation. Once I'm free of this place I still want to make sure I can continue living my life freely. That will be much more difficult if it's well known I was easily captured and then released. Hurts my reputation, you understand. Some of my associates won't look too kindly on me if they find out. If you want to know everything I know, then everyone must promise never to reveal the fact that I cooperated with you. You can tell people that you tortured me for the information prior to my death at your merciless hands for all I care. In fact it would help me out a great deal if you officially claim you killed me. Do this for me, and you'll know the whole sordid scheme, who's really pushing who, who's really putting gold in all the right pockets. Everything." He looked up at the stone ceiling casually, smiling as he added,"Or you can simply let me go, and I'll give you just the tip of the iceberg instead. Which ever you prefer."
Sora- His reaction, or non-reaction, to your words confirm that whoever is pulling strings in the background is likely male, and from what he's said you suspect this person also helped bankroll the assassination.
9- He seems very interested in cooperating and you're pretty sure he'll keep his word. You suspect that he has no intention of completing the contract should he be released regardless. He knows he's in a bad position and just wants to get out of it and move on.
Kal& Witt- You'll both notice Konor is not at all hiding his contempt for this assassin. Kal even noticed the way his face twitched when the princess's assassination was mentioned. He clearly has a personal stake in this.
Quietly, to Konor, Witt whispers. Sir, you can hear what they're talking about. I know how dangerous it would be to release him, for the whole kingdom. But I know how important it is, for your... for the safety of the queen and the princess... to know the name of their employer. I... what would you do, if we asked you to release him as part of an agreement?
Khorzik steps forward, the frustration at having his questions ignored obvious. "I ask again: How much did you get paid to kill the princess?" He then turns to 9. "I saw no casting except for guidance. Is your ability to detect falsehoods innate? I am not willing to argue on his behalf if we cannot discern his true intentions."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
9 answers Khorzik without asking her eyes off the assassin, “Yes it is. ‘Dan’ here is not interested in completing the contract either way if we release him. He is not lying about that.”, she then takes one step towards the assassin and calmly exclaims to him, “Scum like you should not even hope for the slightest possibility of getting out of this in one piece. If you want to at the very least possess a tiny speck of weight on the scale that decides you near future, you will find advantageous to at least begin revealing some information, and truthful one at that. How about we start with some names?”, she grants him a rare smile and her usual stare, as well as shaking her sleeves a little to reveal the scars on her arms.
Khorzik leans back and assesses the situation. "Very well. If we can be sure he is being truthful about:1. his intentions, 2. his employer, and 3. the person who urged the hiring, then I vote we secure his release. With 9's ability it seems we can accomplish this. Although releasing an assassin is undesirable, allowing another to be hired because we are unable to stop them seems worse."

The assassin looks back and forth between 9 and Khorzik, his face briefly draining of all emotion. Eventually he offers a deliberate, almost forced, smile in return."As things stand now all I have to look forward to is my execution. Until I'm certain I've avoided that fate I have no reason to reveal anything to you. Not a name, not a price, not a thread of detail. You've heard my terms, I await your offer." He then looks at Khorzik,"There's no shortage of assassins that can replace me out there, especially for the price I was offered to complete this one."
