The innkeepers of the Thief's Respite assure everyone that they can provide meals as requested. So Nemeia and the others have no trouble getting breakfast. There is still a tense feeling the air due to the earlier attack, and the inn seems quieter then usual.
The breakfast meal will cost 2 silver per person for anyone who wants to buy it at the inn.
Meanwhile back at the general store Moira continues to assist the store owner. As she cleans up the place she find a couple of cracked objects that are easily fixed through her mending spell. As well as a number of things far too broken for her magic to deal with. In the end however she is able to help recover much more of the shop keeper's inventory then he initially feared.
"I must say." The shop keeper speaks up as he takes a rest from all the clean up efforts,"You've been incredibly help, thank you. I'm Immeral, by the way. Immeral Arnuanna. We never did properly introduce ourselves."
Sorawill join Nemeia and order a huge breakfast for herself as well. She doesn't much like the quiet in the room however.
"Well this is kind of a shitty way to start your day, huh?"Sora mused as she made conversation with the others at the table. "I think it could have been a lot worse. But we should go out frog hunting once breakfast is over. We can't have a threat like that out there just waiting to attack again."
Nemeia nods in agreement. "Not how I thought the day would get started for sure. This breakfast sure helps though."She turns toward the keepers and says, "Very delicious!." She looked about the room and thought it would have been nice to have a bard around now to liven the place up. She then chuckled a bit at the idea of her trying to play an instrument. She lets out a sigh. "How many you think are out there?,"she says to Sora keeping the conversation on the bullywugs.
“Believe me, had way, way worse mornings. But yes those bullywugs need to be dealt with. I wonder if anyone knows their language, and if we might talk to them first, rather than killing them straight away like with the goblins. Now that I think bout it, we could use goblins’ help to exterminate the bullywugs.”, 9 pleasantly consumes the morning food, resting her mind after the fight.
"Not sure the goblins would be much help to us." Sora said as she continued eating, "Doubt they'll be too keen on working with us at the moment. We did just kick their asses pretty hard. As for the Bullywugs, no idea how many there might be. I kinda get the feeling they're not gonna be in the talking mood."
"Yes I seem to have lost track of all my manners recently. I am Moira. Pleasure to meet you and happy to help. I think you'll be back up and selling in no time. I was hoping to get a brass brazier as well as some charcoal, incense, and herbs. I have a new spell I am hoping to try out."
They stole some of our caravan's harvest, but not too much before they were chased off. I don't think they're going to be talking much either, he says. But the bullywugs drove the goblins to seek shelter in the mine. What do you suppose drove the bullywugs to raid a town for food?
Nemeia frowns at word that some of the crops had been taken, "There are families that need that food." Nemeia grows sad with the thought of children going hungry.
Meanwhile at the General Store, the shopkeeper continues working with Moira as the place is now starting to look like a halfway serviceable store. "Well since you've been so helpful, I might be able to help you as well. Much of my stock was damaged during the raid to the point that it would be hard to sell now, but a lot of it is probably serviceable for your spell. If you don't mind making use of slightly trampled wares, I can probably get everything you need at a steep discount."
"Well I think the only way we're gonna find out is to hunt these frogs down and find out first hand." Sora suggested, "If we're really lucky we might be able to bring back some of the food that was taken as well. Question is, how are we gonna find them?"
There is enough food, says Witt, slightly worried. If it is shared fairly, no-one should go hungry. But,he looks up brightly, Gerald has delayed the departure of the caravan for a day. I have some time to join, if we are going to investigate the bullywugs and find a way to keep the town safe.
Nemeia nods with understanding. "I'm pretty good at tracking arcane energy, but I don't do great tracking people or beasts. Surely they've left some footprints or damaged grass during their escape?"
“I think i and Witt can take care of the tracks. The swamp worries me a little though, wouldn’t want to encounter another one of those snakes. So then, we are going to clear them out?”
Yes, says Witt, if there's no peaceful solution. I'm no expert in tracking, but will help if I can. He looks around the table as everyone is finishing their breakfast; Where's Moira?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Moira
”Wow! Really? That’s so nice. Let me see.” Moira pulls her spell book out and stops for a moment running her hand across it’s cover. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it but something about it pulled at her memory. Shaking her head she opened the book and found the spell she was looking for. “Here it is. Ok it says I need ingredients worth 10 gold. But I’m pretty sure that just means their value not what I actually pay for them. So yeah if you have ten golds worth that should work!” Moira is beaming at this point and unconsciously dancing about a bit from excitement.
"Huh, very well." Immeral says thoughtfully as he looks over the ingredients list,"Hmm, well charcoal is easy enough, the herbs and incense there was definitely a bunch that got tossed around here somewhere, just a moment." He moves around his shop starting at any piles of waste to be tossed out and begins setting aside materials he can find as he continues talking,"As for the brazier I don't think I have anything exactly like in the description but there's a couple of brass pots that got terrible banged up which can probably serve the same function, assuming you don't mind a dented pot for a brazier." Collecting the misshapen pot in question, he tosses all of the other materials he could find into it and places it aside on the counter. "There we are. All told this is definitely over 10 gold's worth, though I wouldn't be able to sell it for so much right now. If the condition of these materials doesn't bother you, and since you did help me a great deal, I'll be happy to sell all of this to you for 2 gold."
"Thank you! That is quite generous." Moira takes the two gold from her pouch and hands it over. "Would you like to see the spell? It allows me to summon what is known as a familiar. A magical creature that takes on the form of an animal. They can assist in a number of useful ways."
"I am familiar with familiars, pun certainly intended," the shopkeeper smiled, "They are quite common where I'm from in fact. To tell you the truth you're not the first adventurer to purchase these supplies for that ritual at my shop. However I must admit I've actually never seen the ritual itself before. I wouldn't mind watching along if you want to share."

Would this count lint as a short rest?

"Maybe they'll be less violent now that they've had some to eat?," Nemeia says questioningly.
