Nemeia looks about hoping that not many of her companions were stirred from their slumber. She lets out a sigh and moves quickly back to the camp to finish up her watch. She gives Cali a good amount of attention in appreciation for her assistance.
As the dark night continues it seems no further events occure during Nemeia's watch, and it comes time to wake 9 up for the third and final watch of the night.
Nemeia moves to wake 9 and gently says to her so not to startle her. "Hey 9. Will you take the next watch?"When 9 stirs, Nemeia will tell her about the giant frog that had approached the camp. "We scared it off though!," Nemeia says with a bit of pride.
After making sure that 9 was up and ready, Nemeia moves to finish her rest before they needed to hit the road again.
9 will nod sleepely to Nemeia, situating herself close to the campfire. She stares out into the night, and watches the moon. Once she sees that Nemeia is asleep, she moves towards her, silently placing her snake dagger into Nemeia’s bag. She then moves back and rests, observing te surroundings in pleasant ambience of the swamp.
For the most part the night continues on quietly. Or at least as quiet as one can expect from a thick unspoiled swamp in the middle of the night.
At one point 9 notices in the far distance a Giant Frog. Likely the same one from before. It seems it is still curious about the caravan camp as before, though now it is far more cautious. For the moment it is keeping its distance deep within the thick cover of the swap. So far none of the other guards have noticed it.
9 watches the frog for a while before alerting the guards. She makes sure they keep quiet, and don’t attack it if it comes too close. If it does she will carefully attempt to approach it and calm it down.
It feels like hours as 9 and the Giant Frog seemingly continue to stare at each other through out the night. However long it was, eventually the frog seems to give up on whatever interest it had in the caravan and leaps away, moving somewhere into the darkness of the swamp, beyond the range of 9's sight.
And with that the watch continues, until the sun begins its slow rise.
Gerald, who had also volunteered for the final watch, took full advantage of already being awake to start rousing everyone else in the caravan the second the sky began to brighten. Groggily and reluctantly, everyone is woken from their slumber as the caravan master begins shouting orders in an effort to get the caravan moving as quickly as possible.
You've all technically had your long rest, but it sure doesn't feel like it.
( except for elves with the Trance ability of course :D )
Nemeia yawns and stretches as she wakes. Cali gives her the nudge of motivation she needs to rise and get her day started. When she sees the pace that Gerald is ushering his team along in their preparations, Nemeia begins to quicken her own pace so that she doesn't slow the caravan down. She checks to make sure all of her belongings are in place and does her morning ritual of making sure her devices and creations are ready to go. She spots something odd in her bag but decides to ask her companion about it later when they have time alone. "Good morning,"she says to those that are up and moving. "I saw a giant frog last night that tried to get closer to the wagons, but it got spooked away. Nothing else eventful on my watch the best I could tell."
Soraroused with an deep annoyed groan. Clearly not a fan of the early wake up call, she moved about with a heavily put off look on her face as she set about getting ready to hit the road once more. She grunts an acknowledgement to Nemeia as she reports what had happened but doesn't really seem too invested in communication so early in the morning. Despite her mood she still moves about as effectively as she's able helping out where ever she can to get the whole caravan on the road quickly.
"Well, I am glad that you were able to chase it away. Our watch was pretty quite to...I think? Come to think of it I don't really remember much of the watch at all."
9 did not need waking up, so she wandered around the swamp while others were assembling themselves. She lost herself in thoughts about what happened at the altar, and her mind dwindled with words of the strange man atop it. Eventually she made her way back to the caravan. Hearing how others talk about their watches she just added, “I just watched the frog before it hopped away. Nothing much apart from that.”
Morning everyone. *yawn* Frogs, you say? Just the one? I suppose it was interested in the food. I wonder what Giant Frogs usually eat. Not wheat or vegetables, I suppose.
Witt wonders what Giant Frogs usually eat: Nature20
Witt - You recall that smaller frogs generally eat insects and the like so they're technically carnivores. With that in mind you might assume that larger frogs would eat larger creatures. So Nemeia's comment might be on the correct track.
As the morning began to take its full effect, Gerald was wasting no time in getting everyone moving and on the road as quickly as possible. Before the party knew it everyone was already moving as the entire caravan found its way travelling north once more. Even breakfast was an optimized affair, hand held breads and fruits were offered to everyone while already traveling on the road rather then spend the time in a full sit down meal back at the camp. Still Gerald ensured everyone was satisfied and doing well before rushing out towards their destination. After eating his fill, and ensuring they were making good time, the caravan master took a spot in one of the carts and fell asleep for a quick well deserved nap, showing that even he had his limits.
And so the party was once again on their guard duties, traveling north at a decent pace.
Another round of Perception and Survival checks for anyone who wants to help. And another bit of downtime for RP opportunities if interested. :D

Rusty climbs down and curls back up against Moira.

"Well, I am glad that you were able to chase it away. Our watch was pretty quite to...I think? Come to think of it I don't really remember much of the watch at all."
Overhearing what Moira said, Sora simply rolled her eyes but said nothing.
Nemeia nods. "A quiet watch is a good watch!"

"Goblins if memory serves right," Nemeia says half in jest.
