The group as a whole is able to follow the miner's path back to Greymeadow and eventually manage to arrive back in town without much issue. With no giant swamp creatures to attack them this time at least. By the time everyone arrives it's already pushing into evening; the sun is not completely set, but the long shadows of the surrounding swamp seem to cover everything in the town already.
Taking Nemeia’s arm in her own. “We have a bit of time maybe we should see about converting that copper to gold. And I need to find some things to start working on that snake skin.”
9 tags along with Nemeia and Moira, looking for an artisan who could make a dagger out of the snake’s fang, amd maybe something from its tongue. She also keeps an eye around Nemeia amd Moira, making sure no one deliberately follows them, and generally making sure they are safe. 9 will not walk directly behind them though, she will give them all,the space they need. Rather she idly walks in their direction looking at the clouds and is digesting the whole day. If there is any street food that looks good, she will buy some for herself.
”Witt. You’ve been here before. Do they have a place to change your coin here? Seeing 9 trailing behind them, and anyone else who decided to come shopping “What are you doing way back there we can’t even talk to you?”
"While you guys handle that, I think I'll head back to the tavern and try to find that Dru guy. Someone should let him know his mine's cleared out." Sora offered, "We should meet up somewhere afterwards, any ideas?"
Witt, you haven't spent a lot of time in Greymeadow before as the caravan usually only stays here for a single night before heading off north as quickly as they can. You're not sure what sort of local establishment might be able to help in this situation, but you do know there's a general store somewhere around the center of town that might be helpful.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
We can try the general store, says Witt. He frowns. I think I remember where it is. Let's go! and he darts rapidly through the street, towards where he remembers the general store being. Investigation6
Witt is able to find the general store in question without issue. It is a plain looking building with an even more plain looking sign that simply says "General Store". On the whole it's about as generic as one could imagine, a trend that continues as you move inside. It does seem as if this store is stocked with all the things that an average townsfolk or traveler might need, so its certainly serviceable as far as stores go.
Meanwhile for Sora and anyone else who wanted to head up towards the Waning Lure; you'll find Sdrueg there without issue just finishing up his dinner. There are a few other patrons as well, mainly locals enjoying an ale at the end of their work day. At one Corner of the tavern is a male human playing a small lute, rather badly, in some apparent attempt to provide dinner music.
Nemeia looks over the store with little interest in the common items. She moves to talk to the shop keeper and says, "Well met. Are there skilled leatherworkers here in town that are accepting work? We have a bit of a task we need completed. We're also in search for a weaponsmith to prepare a weapon or two."She thinks for a moment on anything else they could use while here. "Is there a bank or something similar here in Greymeadow?"It's clear she doubts there is but she needs to ask the question.
A plain looking male elf with long brown hair and muddy hazel eyes looks up at Nemeia from behind the counter with a bored expression on his face. He seemed every bit as bland as the store he seemingly ran.
"A bank?" He scoffed at Nemeia,"You've got to be kidding. This store is the closest you'll find to a bank in this town. Wouldn't expect much craftmanship from this place either, but you can try your luck at the blacksmith up the street if you don't mind dealing with the shedevil that runs it."
While they are in the store, 9 will stand close to the group. “I think we are looking for coin exchange. We found a lot of copper and converting it would be delightful.”, she addresses the elf with mild tone of boredom.
"If you wanna get change for your coins I can help you with that, but you gotta buy something first!" The elf vendor insisted as he just gave the group a slight frown.
”I was actually hoping to take care of the leatherwork myself. But I do need to tan this snake skin.” Moira pulls the piece of snake hide from Nemeia’s bag. “Do you have a barrel large enough to hold this? And possibly some lime? The mineral not the fruit.” Hefting the skin she adds “We might also need a horse and cart. Hmm this might get expensive.”
"I might have some lime to sell you, but you're better off heading to Mary at the blacksmith to do any of that tanning you mentioned. And no, I don't have any horses here, you might want to try the stables for that. Is the lime all you care to buy?" The elf looks a bit taken aback by the snake skin as he offers his suggestions.
While the others have the shopping part handled, Sora will split off and head up to the Waning Lure to tell the old dwarf the good news. She'll stroll up to Sdrueg with a smile on her face as she sits down at his table, "Hey Dru! I got good news and bad news. Good news is we clear out your mine of the goblins that were bothering you. Bad news is now you and your boys don't have an excuse to sit here and drink all day."
Sdrueg looks up at Sora as she walks in and sits down, letting loose a hearty laugh as she tells him the news, "Ha! That's great lass! If ya ask me these damn workers of mine have been getting too fat an' lazy for their own good! Well I'll be happy to get them up and working hard first thing in tha morning! And don't worry, I'll send word to Myethnas and the Adventurer's Guild to let them know this job's done."
Meanwhile...
Back at the General Store, the elf store owner nods to Moira before pointing to a shelf behind her with the lanterns she asked for,"We have plenty of lanterns, sure. Feel free to pick out which ever one you like. If that's all you need I can go grab that lime for you."
”Would you happen to have tools used to pick locks?”, 9 asks, thinking that since their pirate friend left them, they would need some way to get through locked places if need arises.

"Oooh neat!" Sora says watching Nemeia flourish her tinker's tools, "Sounds like you two had great parents."

Nemeia nods at Moira's suggestion. "That's a great plan," she says. "I hope the town has enough coin to do that," she says with a soft laugh.
