"It would probably be best to make sure they are gone now." Moira walks over and picks up the glowing stone. "This works really well Witt. I will have to find out if I can do something like this."
“I should say, we work together well. Of course, we still have room to grow, but this is a great start I feel.”, 9 sais grunting her way in her legs and joining others. This was an... experience to say the least. She thought through everything that happened in a single day. She met these people, then they got lost in a swamp and she killed a snake, then they killed some goblins, killed some more goblins p, and made the mine clear again. mMagnificent really, compared to my other days. Cage, hours of whipping, cage. Toruture, insults, some more cage. Discomfort. Apart from killing everything was great. You can’t have everything now, can you? It wasn’t killing really, more like self defense. These thoughts caroused her mind as they collected themselves for further action.
Sorawas still feeling the excitement of combat, despite all of the battles and all of her injuries she still didn't look like she was ready to slow down. "I agree this was a lot of fun, it'll be interesting to see what kind of trouble we can find." She grinned at the rest of the part and started walking back out of the room, "But first we should clear out the rest of these tunnels and make sure it's safe for everyone to come back like Nemeia suggestion. I'm gonna start doing that if anyone wants to join me."
In the interest of expediency, I can tell you that as you search the entire mine you won't find any other goblins in the caves. Either they fled at some point or they are already dead.
Witt gently pulls the two unconscious and wounded goblins to lie side by side, and tends to their wounds. He looks in his backpack for something he can use to restrain them when they awaken, but can't find anything. Does anyone have any rope I could borrow? he asks the others. I don't want them to run, or attack us, when they wake up.
He sits cross legged in front of them and watches them carefully. Poor creatures, they must be terrified,he mutters. Whatever drove them to come here, of all places? Surely their leader must have known that they would be driven out? He shakes his head. It doesn't make any sense. In any case, they're no threat now, just two of them. I hope you won't mind if we let them go, after we talk to them of course? He looks hopefully at the others, wondering if they think him foolish or childish for this.
Sora: You are easily able to find rope among the remnant gear left behind by the miners. As you travel the tunnels of this mine you also spot areas where the goblins must have slept, with minimal bedding and eating areas and the like. However, as expected, there are no other goblins in this mine that you can find.
"Welp, this place is cleared out, so job well done!" Sora says when she returns to the main room with rope in hand, which she tosses to Witt with a smirk, "Here ya go bud, something to tie them up with. Personally I'm fine with lettin' them go if you really want to. Doubt they'll be much threat anymore."
Nemeia offers 9 a shrug when she asks if she's sure it will help her. "I think so,"she says with a chuckle. She goes to offer Witt the rope she had bundled to the side of her pack but Sora offers up the rope she found in the caves first. Probably best to not waste good rope she thinks as she sticks it back onto the hook on her backpack.
"Sometimes people get really fixated on the things they want most. Maybe he just loved copper that much."
Eventually Witt manages to wake up the two surviving goblins. They struggle against their restraints but they don't have the strength to break free in their wounded state. Eventually they give up and simply growl at their captors. They do their best to look defiant but it's clear they're rightfully afraid given their current predicament.
I'm sorry, Witt says in common, sitting on the floor near to the goblins. You must be very scared. We're going to let you go, I promise. But first, I want to know why you came to this mine. Persuasion18
Nemeia stands next to Witt. "You know, we didn't really want to have to fight you. Just answer his question and we'll get you somewhere safe outside of this mine."
The goblins look back and forth at Witt, then the rest of the group, then over to Nemeia, then finally back at Witt, their gaze moving frantically as they try to decide their best options. They try to whisper to each other in goblin though they are quite obvious as they do so. Until finally they speak up, shouting back and forth between the two of them in broken common, "This our home now! We take home, we make cave ours, make safe home now! You leave!"
"Witt, we might not be able to let them go. We don't have to kill them but if we let them go I think they are going to try and hurt people. Perhaps we can just take them back to the town and let their local laws deal with them?"
Nemeia questions the thought of turning them over to the town and doesn't like it one bit. These goblins were just trying to find a safe place of refuge. Sure, it was a very bad choice, but they could use a second chance.
"Hello goblins. Do you have names?"Nemeia waits for a response. "There are a few options here. One: You find a new place to call home that isn't already a work site or living space for someone else and we'll let you be and you can live happily. Or Two: which I really don't want to have to deal with... We turn you over to the town from which you've stolen this mine and they kill you in the town square so that all can see. Now, I would choose life over death every day. You're smart creatures. Don't you want to live?"
The two goblins look back and forth nervously for a while before looking at each other and nodding in unison. Once again both start talking over each other in broken common as they spurt out their desperate words, "Yes! Yes! We want to live. You take cave from us. Fair and fair. Kill lots of us. Kill boss. You take cave. We go. Try to find safe place where frogs don't eat us."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nemeia looks to the others in confusion. "Frogs?," she questions. "That eat you?," she continues. Nemeia really didn't want to release these goblins to the open mouth of what, a goblin eating giant frog? "Are there a lot of little frogs that team up to eat larger prey or are there just monstrous frogs in the swamp?" Nemeia didn't really like the idea that either response could be true. The tiefling gives a soft shudder at the thought of it all. She's beginning to understand why the goblins would want to live in a mine like this.
"Yes....Being eaten by frogs does not sound fun. Though I'm not sure this cave would be much better. We did battle a giant snake not far from here that tried to eat us. Maybe you need to leave the swamp, and find somewhere with out so many large creatures."

Sora would have gone out and explored the rest of the caves first to ensure there weren't any more goblins around before returning.
Sora will look around for some rope while she's clearing the rest of the tunnels. Plus generally searching about...

Witt thanks everyone who helped, ties up the goblins gently but firmly and attempts to wake them.
