Moira: You don't understand any of the runes or writing around the stone slab, you can try an Arcana check to see if you can figure out anything more. The bullywug's staff will turn into just a mundane stick once the spell on it wears off.
9: Sora took the brunt of the damage having effectively tanked most of the battle, but she doesn't seem too hurt at the moment. Among everyone else there are still some injuries from the previous battle but so far no one is in any danger.
Nemeia watches as the others look over the scene. She finds a spot to rest on the disc and sits down taking a chance to calm her nerves. "Is that it?" she asks no one in particular. "Is the town safe now?"
"**** I hope so." Sora exclaimed as she walked over to the leader's corpse, using the most unsullied part of her robe to clean off her swords before putting them away, "Speaking of which, where's all the stuff they took?"
Witt: As you inspect the creature, you become certain this is not a natural being by any stretch. It was created some how, much like you might imagine a powerful wizard creating a flesh construct. You're not sure if it was an ogre which was mutated or a fusion of various creatures put together, but some thing made this monster for some deliberate purpose. You're not sure what it's actual purpose is, from what you can tell the only thing you can assume this thing was built for was just to eat. There's a lot you don't know about the creature or its makers, but you do get a sense that whoever built this was touched by something dark, ominous, and ancient.

Witt will relate this to the others. Perhaps the town is safe for the moment. But someone was behind this creature; someone made it, perhaps placed it here. He sighs. I wish I knew more about magic. I can't really figure much else out. I will pray to the Harvest Watcher tonight.
In the meantime, he looks around trying to find any of the goods stolen from his own caravan: Investigation13 + 4
Nemeia looks up to the others, "Wasn't there another person here with these two?" She gestures at the leader and monstrosity. "What were they on about?"
Witt calls upon the guidance of the Harvest Father; calling upon his teachings you remember the importance of patience and perseverance when it comes to farming, and how those lessons so often apply to many of life's struggles. No doubt you believe it would be his desire that the harvest blessed by Oryn's flock should be returned to those it was grown for. Undaunted Witt searches the entire area around the slab and you begin to find stores of food from many, many sources. Most of it was hidden in the areas around this ritual site, either behind some swamp bush or underneath crudely constructed leather tarps. There is an immense amount of food everywhere you look, most of which is beginning to rot due to the swamp environment it was held it. Though it looks like this didn't stop them from feeding it to the creature. Indeed, you suspect that all this food was meant to feed the monster that you battled, and this was responsible for its bloated giant size.
Eventually you're able to find the food that was stolen from the caravan, which you recognize quite well. Some of it has, unfortunately, already been torn into, but at least most of it is still untouched.
"I don't understand how it works or what it did but this stone is giving off alot of magic. It looks like it is focused on making or changing something. Maybe learning things as well. We might want to move off of it." Moira moves off of the slab. "We could check the huts for what was taken from the town."
"Yeah, creepy robed guy with the creepier voice." Sora replied to Nemeia as she sat down next to Cali, petting the construct that had been so helpful to her during the battle, "No idea who or what that was. For all I know creepy guy is still watching us." She then looked off in a random direction and called out, "And if you are, **** you!"
Nemeia's lips curl is disgust at the thought of the guy still being around. "I hope not," she mutters. Taking a bit of time, she pulls out her spectacles and adjusts them slightly for the sun and swamp moisture. After a few minutes with her tools, she places the purple lenses over her eyes and looks at the platform hoping to get a better idea of what magic is affecting it. "Checking the huts is a good idea," she says absently as she scans the area."
Looking worriedly at the stone slab. "Yes, I think he is. We should go. We can return to the village and bring back people and wagons to help find the supplies and bring them back."
Sora took a slow look around and let out a big sigh, "I don't know how much food will be left if we leave it here. Plus it's gonna be tough for anyone to make it through the swamp with wagons. We might want to take a rest here then grab what we can and head back. We're gonna be walking through the swamp at night regardless unless you all wanna sleep out here."
Nemeia pauses for a moment thinking about how to solve the problem. She then has an idea, "I could carry quite a bit of the food for a little under an hour." She opens her satchel and appears to be counting something. "I'm nearly out of supplies so I really need to spend some time rebuilding but I don't think we have time for that." Nemeia seems uncertain if they'll be able to make it out of the rough swamp in an hour as it took them quite some time to get where they are.
At the thought of sleeping here, "If we do find rest here for the evening, My creations could carry the weight for three hours tomorrow."
"Lets move what we can to the huts here and then setup to sleep here. We can return to the town in the morning when we are all fresh. .....But we should get away from this stone."
Moira looks worriedly around the area making here way toward the supplies that Witt had found.
Nemeia looks around for the huts but only finds the mounds of supplies. She frowns a bit until she realizes she doesn't have to move the supplies. She shrugs and then tries to decide if she wants to camp here or in the gross mucky swamp.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Witt, though not very strong, does his best to help and builds a sort of food fort, some way away from the weird magic thing, and somewhere they can camp successfully. He carries all the caravan stuff, and as much as he can of everything else. Thank you for helping,he says to Moira and everyone else as they carry the stuff; I wonder how much we can get back to town. Still, every little helps.
When they camp, he will offer to take a watch, first watch if no-one else wishes to.

Moira - Arcana : 15
Witt looks to Nemeia and Sora. I hope the town is safe. I pray it is so. But I'm not sure I really understand what happened here.
He walks over to the ogre creature and inspects it, looking for anything that would tell him more about its nature, origin or purpose: 9 + 4 Guidance.

Nemeia nods in agreement with Moira and begins to help move what she can to the huts.
After taking a quick break and a deep breath, Sora will also get up and assist moving any of the heavy goods around to a defensible camp.
