The Professor will relate the results of his conversation with Gruk to the rest of the party, then ask Shae for the Horned Lady's journal so he can do a thorough read-through to better understand the specifics of her planned ritual. If necessary, he will do another Comprehend Languages ritual to be able to continue to read. He will also watch with interest what Gruk does with the cursed stone.

While the others are setting up, The Professor continues to study the Hag’s journal, at least until the are ready for him. If it starts getting dark, while they are working, he will rpause and enew the Alarm ritual, worried that the Hag may be coming tonight to seek her revenge.

Professor, you gather that the hag is planning to use a variation on conjuration magic to create a rift long enough to let her sisters through, in order to reunite her coven. Apparently, they had been split ages ago as a result of a hero by the name of Donar Shattershield and other dwarves out on expedition, with her two sisters being locked away on different planes.
You understand furthermore, that she planned to incite greed and paranoia in the grung tribes, to get them to attack the fiercely territorial and aggressive lizardmen tribes in the region to start a war. The chaos and destruction of the war would serve as a sacrifice to enable her to build a connection to the abyss, while the spilled blood and the evil souls of the corrupted grung would serve as a way to summon her other sister from the infernal realms. Although she refers to them as sisters, you gather that she is the oldest of the three, and has relied on the other two for her powers and schemes.
The ritual is to take place in two days, on the night of the full moon, as the fey nature of her and her sisters would be stronger than their individual infernal and abyssal ties.
Shae, Maxine and Berrus, as you start collecting various items, you figure you have enough silver to coat four blades, or to create ten bolts or arrowheads, beyond the four weapons that Thessalandra and her crew already have with them.
Berrus, you determine that you could potentially manage to coat blades and arrowheads simply by dipping them in the molten silver, since the steel had a higher melting point. It wouldn’t make for the most durable solution, but absent a forge and time to smith proper silver weapons, it would be a way to quickly silver some weapons without wasting many materials.

Gruk eventually heads to the storage area of the camp, and draws forth a hammer and a chisel. Before anyone can interject and tell him it is meant for woodworking, he splits the amulet, letting out a low gutteral cry which the Professor understands as: “Ancestors, forgive Gruk!”
He returns with the two parts of the amulet: “Magic gone now. Gruk destroy amulet. Gruk hope, Gruk not make huge mistake. But Gruk trust tribe of Bro- fasser. Tribe friends to Gruk. Tribe help grung. Thanks.”
Professor, you immediately sense that whatever magic had been infused into the stone amulet was gone now.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Professor:
Bowing again, the Professor says, "You are wise to take such decisive action, Gruk. The magic in the stone amulet is gone, yet it can now be an even more powerful symbol for the Grung--that you will never again allow you or your tribe to be manipulated by the hag for her foul purposes."
Thinking about it for a few moments ( Arcana: 18 ), Snively adds, "Yet the schemes of the Hag may yet come to fruition if the Grung go to war against the Lizardfolk before we can stop them--the destruction of the amulet's magic is unlikely to remove the effect on the Grung priests already infected with its enchantment."
Repeating his observation to the rest of the group in Common, the Professor lays out the issue, saying, "It is late today, so I think we need to gather our strength tonight and set out in the morning. My counsel is that we all travel to the Grung village with Gruk leading the way, supporting his claim to chieftainship. We want to make sure the Grung are free from the Hag's influence and don't sacrifice themselves in needless war against the Lizardfolk. We also want the slaves freed, including our abducted crew member. What do you all think?"

"Right you are, Berrus," says Snively, making his way over to the dwarf and starting to form the earth as he directs to create the makeshift forge. Mold Earth for the forge, Control Flame and Gust to get the fire burning hot, and Minor Conjuration to make the molds for the arrowheads. They'll have to use one of the cooking pots for the silver to melt in, though, as his conjured items aren't strong enough to withstand the heat necessary to melt silver (Minor Conjuration items disappear if they deal or take "damage").

once the silver is molten Berrus will dip 5 arrows into the silver stopping about an inch past the head. once those have been coated and set to cool "Im not gonna waste the water to quench them, jus put them on the stones there to dry , head up so any lose silver will run long the shaft. Who needs a blade done?
Maxine gave five bolts to Berrus and assisted with best of her abilities (Help, if needed). But had enough time to glance at now broken amulet: "I am wandering, if I mend it - would magic qualities return? And if not, then it's safe to give the stone back to grungs. For them, it still will be a relic worth worshipping, I think, they did not use magic in it anyway."
OOC: Maxine, as far as I can tell, the stone amulet was given to the Grung by the Hag as a way to enchant them into bloodthirsty insanity—encouraging its worship seems like a bad idea, but having the broken manipulation of the Horned Lady symbolized by her broken token seems pretty good...

"Not sure his tribe will see it this way," doubtfully noted Maxine, "if we restore it - it's really simple! - we can say to Grung it was cleansed of hag's magic, not evil anymore. He might be happy. Or he can reject it and we will have a nice souvenir. We can also ask him if he wants the stone to be restored? You, I mean, you will ask."
Snively will shrug and translate Maxine's words for Grung for his consideration (feel free to use your own words and the Professor will translate verbatim). Before translating, he says, "I like the 'cleansed of the Hag's magic' bit, but I just told him it should be destroyed, so we run the risk of mixed messages. Still, it should be his decision to make, and it is helpful for him to know there are multiple opinions within our group and we aren't afraid to discuss our differences--something the Grung aren't used to with their rigid hierarchical society."
