Bertrand and Cliff, having been helping out around the ship, are happy to take the opportunity to go and look for water. Thessalandra and the crew meanwhile are happily staying behind with Maxine an Shae. As the land party heads off, the captain approaches Shae and Maxine: "We're making good time. With the additional gusts from the Professor, we should be reaching Mezro before sundown tomorrow. Last I heard, there were some archeological works going on there... I didn't say so before, but chances are that we have the same employers as them, and things might not go too smoothly when they realise that they won't be getting any of that new gear they already paid for... I've been thinking on how best to manage that, but I haven't had a good idea yet."
The landing party is quickly sweating heavily due to the humidity of the thick foliage surrounding you.
I need someone among the boys rolling a nature or survival check to find likely sources of water.

The Professor uses his cantrip to try and keep the bugs off of them, but he can't do anything about the heat without extra water around. To the captain, he says, "I'm not sure what to tell you, Thessalandra. If I were presenting to my colleagues, I would emphasize the misfortune of the attack from the giant roc, then our best efforts to land, and the fact that we have a detailed map back to the cargo. Other than that, I don't really have any other suggestions."

Before leaving the boat, Fang puts his newly acquired skill to use using 8 of his arrows in an effort to keep those staying with the boat safe. He designates all his companions as safe from the effects of his spell thanks to Glasses and Berrus’s assistance. Fang places the arrows in such a way (assuming I can spread them out, either individually, or two sets of four) to protect as much ground as possible around the boat. cordon of arrows
Fang then helps load the supplies on to the floating disk so that water can be collected along with any other gear the group seems appropriate/necessary. During their trek, Fang and Mushu keep theirs eyes open for any materials that can be used to craft additional arrows/bolts as well as sticks to be made into javelins and or staves. (Let me know if I need to add other rolls besides the survival for water)
Almost by accident, Berrus' search for strong and straight-growing branches and stems leads him to a small pool. The water is stagnant, but he cuts down two of the branches, before walking around the pool to keep a lookout for more water. After another ten inutes or so walking inland, you start to make out the gurgling of a nearby river, and soon, you break through the foliage to find yourselves on a stony pebble beach. The water is somewhat muddy, but otherwise has a fresh taste, and you start to quickly gather water in your various containers, making sure to place them along with any further straight branches onto the Professor's floating disk.
Meanwhile, Maxine and Shae, you notice some darker clouds roll in from the horizon, pushing westwards towards the coast. When you point this out, Thessalandra states flatly: "Looks like the nice travel weather might be over. If it gets too bad, we can shelter out any storms in Mezro for a day or two."

(Was a little confused when the Professor answered the Captain when they are in different groups? Cause the captain approached Shae and Maxine? Don’t know if we’re stalling with us... So I guess I’m just having Shae reiterate or suggest about the same thing the Professor did. It was kind of what she was thinking anyways.)
When the Captain would approach Shae and Maxine with her concern, Shae would blink a couple times. She had forgotten about the Captains earlier confession and never considered it could have potential repercussions when they would hit civilization. They often never had to think that far ahead. Though, the warlock would try her best to think on it for Thessalandra, scrunching her nose as she did. Occasionally she’d even glance over expectantly to Maxine, thinking she may have an opinion or confident thought to contribute.
But after some silence, Shae would sigh and shift her weight on her feet. “Well Captain...” She’d start her thought before pausing for a moment. Shae figured her naïveté was going to shine here with her suggestion. “Tell them the truth? Even if it may not be all of it? Unless they ask specifically?” Her voice a little sheepish. “You can judge what’s best to tell them... We did get taken down by a large bird creature. We did crash land.” She’d shrug. “We were in no position to carry all the items then... but perhaps, if it’s necessary... and not too late...” She’d add as she’d ramble her thoughts out loud before letting out a sigh. “A recovery expedition could be done? We can offer them a copy of the map? If we must participate... Only after we complete our current task.” Shae wasn’t willing to suggest veering off their course now. But if it was the only way for them to move on from there, to complete the mission of returning those home, she’d be willing to do it after.
Shae had been waiting for the weather to turn, and sure enough it finally started to loom on the horizon. “You’re confident we’ll make it that far from here?” She’d question, wondering how fast the weather could actually turn.
After collecting the feathers and what remains of the bird. Fang looks around for anything else that could prove useful for the next leg of their trek. Including, but not limited to, food that didn’t need to be cooked. While doing this he would send Mushu back towards the boat to let them know that water had been found and was currently being collected.
"What she said," Maxine did not change her opinion about unfortunate accident - the ship could be attacked anywhere and those around here ordering something from another place have to be ready, that goods never reach the destination. "Still think they would love your determination to return and report - and may be get back to recover all the goods but you know better whether to meet your employers or not. Our group had nothing to do with them and have no needs to go to any of them. We take food/water and leave, that's it."
Shae could only shrug at this point. What she said. Was all she could think after that. She’d pull her lips up into a forced smile. The warlock would then step away to get a better view of the horizon to watch the weather as she’d find something to busy herself with to pass the time.
Maxine did not understand the reason for Shae's mood change and tried not to interrupt her thoughts. They all had something to think about now, though anticipation made those thoughts (at least for Maxine) quite erratic - you can tell yourself as many times as you wish that by now you are ready to anything, but uncertainty of the future ruins that content with ease.
If no one from the shore party is trying to get back to the ship in a particular hurry, Fang begins working on making his three arrows after finding a suitable log to sit on. He is of course keeping an eye on the immediate area for any danger and is ready to head back to the ship when everyone else is.
Shae’s mood hadn’t really changed. She simply felt that Maxine was already checking out and sensed she had a focused mind. It was Shae who didn’t want to bother or interrupt Maxine’s thoughts or goals. Her friend had gone silent and keeping herself at a distance for some time. Since the banquet? Shae was simply respecting that space and finding ways to keep her mind busy. It was easy for the medic to get wrapped up in her own anxieties that she needn't work herself up and lock herself away in her mind. She simply wanted to be present. And sometimes that was best out of the way.
Fang, you're starting to work on making new arrows. As Berrus collects water from the stream though, he notices something twinkle underneath the water.
