Not seeing anything to be gained from killing the triceratops Fang approaches it cautiously trying to soothe it with Draconic lullabies from when he was a hatchling. If he can get close enough to mend its leg with cure wounds then he will do so.
Otto continues to watch all the proceedings with rapt and uncharacteristic attention. As the number of combatants wanes, he finds his focus drawn more completely to the Swamp Beast, and he doesn't fail to commentate the lizardman's every action to Shae.
The human woman also seems to be doing well, which is good since they have a bet on her, but Otto isn't so much drawn to her, especially as she seems to be attempting to berate those who organise the show, which to Otto doesn't seem like good manners. The halfling also looks like he might make it, and Otto turns to Shae and asks whether she thinks they will still win the bet if three escape rather than just the two they selected...

Well this is the most confounding mess I ever did see, Mulligan thinks to himself. I came all rushing down prepared to leap in and save the day, but day seems more or less saved. The one beast is satisfied with the meal, the dinosaur seems willing to just lie down and accept it's fate, and the combatants I think Shae may have been worrying over are all... Healthy enough.
I suppose if they saved themselves... Mulligan surveys the scene and does his best to remember the bet that halfling Otto was supposed to make. Did we ever figure out if the halting was allowed out or not.
"Best to hedge the bet, I guess," Mulligan says to himself.

Otto, you see how the lizardfolk ranger approaches the wounded triceratops, humming a strange melody that is trying to soothe the beast. It almost seems to work, until you hear a loud scream from the end of the pit, as the halfling lets go of the ropes and falls fifteen feet back down into the pit. As he lands, you hear a sickening crunch as his broken tibia stabs through his calf. Mercifully, the halfling passes out from the pain.
The noise is loud enough to startle the triceratops though, and as it whips around, its horns slash at Fang, but the narrowly miss. Even though, the large dinosaur is on alert and tries to defend itself in its wounded state. This is further worsened, when the wounded triceratops is hit with an eldritch blast from the protesting Reng.

Otto winces as the halfling crashes painfully back to the bottom of the pit. He takes no great pleasure in seeing someone suffering, particularly a fellow halfling, but the Executioner's Run is just part of life in Port Nyanzaru. And besides, they had a bet going on the other two contestants, and the halfling contestant wasn't part of that equation, so it really might be for the best. It had never occurred to Otto to contemplate why fate so often turned to his own advantage, and this just seemed like one of those times.
But this new turn of events wasn't entirely favorable. The noise interrupted the Swamp Beast's spectacular attempt to calm the triceratops. And to make matters worse, the unsportsmanlike protesting human was now throwing magic blasts around. Things had been going so well, but the human seemed about to ruin everything!

The crowd roars back up, hungry for the final defeat of the triceratops, or the gory dismemberment of one of the runners. But to Reng, it's clear that the merchant princes is shook by the dispaly of defiance from those in the pit, not used to people standing up to her so openly.

Mulligan glances up and watches the Princess speak, then turns quickly back towards the pit. There's a pang of something (guilt?) in Mulligan's guts. A second chance is more than most ever get and here he was prepared to take it away from that halfling in the pit all for... What, exactly? As the crowd roared, Mulligan wasn't exactly sure. The terms of the wager were... vague at best, and winning may not even depend on that halfling. On the other hand, second chances are valuable enough that they should be won against all odds, not just handed to you. Gods knew Mulligan never had anything just handed to him. And if the gods wanted the halfling to get out of the pit, Mulligan was pretty sure they weren't going to let Mulligan's tricks stop it from happening.
Besides, the Lady Shae had some wagers on the outcome... Mulligan had offended the gods for lesser reasons!
Continuing to maneuver through the crowd, Mulligan does his best to stay within range of where he thinks that troublesome halfling may climb out again and keeps ready to mentally give them a shove down if need be. And if he gets within distance of the lizardfolk who seems to be hurting a bit, Mulligan would try to shout out a Healing Word to him.

Reng wipes her mouth with the side of her free hand, and then looks curiously at the lizardfolk somehow interacting with the triceratops, and the dino not goring him outright. She calms a bit, shrugs, and gives a "well I'll be..." expression, eyebrows raising and thoughtful frown bouncing on the lower half of her face.
Then with a flourish she turns and fires off two blasts at the digesting raptor.
She then gives the lizardfolk and his dino some space and approaches the halfling trying to climb out. "I don't think she meant literally emerge from the pit. Was more a metaphorical thing."Lowering to a stage whisper, she says, "Funny thing is, I didn't murder anyone, and I'm not a cannibal."
The crowd goes wild, as Reng dispatches the last of the Velociraptors with nonchalant ease. With a hand over her chest, practically at the edge of her seat, Shae exhales a shaky breath of relief when the crowd erupts around them. She closes her eyes taking a moment to smile to herself. With actions like that, if there was any doubt before (which there wasn't), there wouldn't be now. It was definitely Fang.
Shae would open her eyes and look to Otto, matching his smile. "I trust you can take care of the bet logistics from here?" Her head would quirk.
The purple haired maiden would then turn to face the Merchant Princess, sweetening her smile with a bat of her lashes. She'd bow her head respectfully. Blue hues would then sneak a glance Wakanga's way with an equal nod of respect prior to sneaking a mischievous grin to the Professor.
Backstepping and hoisting herself up onto the balcony, Shae would scan the group once more. "I look forward to catching up again soon." She'd pull a hand out of her pocket, revealing a dragonlike creature. Extending her arms out, she'd exchange a smirk with the familiar, "Ready Mushu?". With an abrupt lift of her hand, she'd pop him into the air.
Closing her eyes, Shae would lean back and fall out the balcony. Feeling the air rush by her, she'd gasp a breath from the thrill, trying to catch it. Butterflies would hit her stomach influencing her to laugh. She'd twist her body and snap her fingers. The feathers in her hair would glow and she'd feel the familiar weightlessness envelope her.
