Curse of Strahd

You see a hallway that goes up and down. About 15 ft in it gives you an option to go right or left and continues straight 15 more ft for a total 30 ft hallway. Seen here:

You can see the green glow coming from the left hallway and to the next left. Seen here:

Gwyllen begins walking cautiously in the direction of the curtain Skorn is opening, but decides to peek into the right hallways with the open doors to see if there is anything interesting before she will follow him up the next staircase.

Investigation - 18

As you guys pass by the rubble and to the left room, you see a slumped figure in the middle of the room in a throne. The green glow is gone. 

Skorn gets his hammer ready and heads for the slumped figure carefully.

 You hear the figure come to life slowly and say " Go away!"

Skorn stops. We were chased here by the servants of Strahd. Are you Argynvost?

He says " The creature’s grip on the greatsword tightens. “If you have come to destroy me, know this: I perished defending this land from evil over four centuries ago, and because of my failure, I am forever doomed. If you destroy this body, my spirit will find a new corpse to inhabit, and I will hunt you down. You cannot free me from my damnation, nor would I wish it."

Mr. Greenleaf - Starting to begin to show signs of a struggle with all of the stairs in this place Flyn will let out a large *Sigh* but hearing the figure sitting in the corner say something Flyn will creep up to the VERY LOUD Skorn and attempt to get a better view of what it is.

8 Perception

Mr. Greenleaf - "What killed you?"

Skorn glares at Greenleaf and motions for him to step back. He holsters his hammer, and takes a step forward. We do not wish to destroy you. We only wish to leave this gods-forsaken land, and return to our own. You say we cannot free you, but perhaps we can help in some other way.

Catching up with the group, Gwyllen glances over the halfling's head - "Oh my, what an impressive sword you have there, sir" she smiles broadly at the specter and turns toward Skorn, hoping he'll give her a good scowl or head-shake. 

Skorn scowls at Gwyllen, then turns his attention back to the figure.

He grins and says " Little one, what makes you so curious? I will tell you what I mean. The death of Argynvost enraged me. I returned as this, a revenant,  and swore to avenge the destruction of the order. Several knights joined me in this endeavour. 

We killed many of Strahd’s soldiers out of revenge, and whenever the undead knights were cut down, their spirits found new corpses to inhabit. Though we were grossly outnumbered, we waged war for months and slew hundreds of foes.

When Strahd died and became a vampire, we should have gone to their everlasting rest, but our spirits couldn’t leave Strahd’s domain. We marched to Castle Ravenloft and were confronted by the Vistani seer Madam Eva, who told us Strahd had died, only to become a prisoner in his own land, tormented by the death of his beloved Tatyana and the murder of his brother Sergei.

After receiving that news, I ceased advancement and led my knights here, back to Argynvostholt. I realized that Strahd had already died and been damned to a hell of his own creation. With nowhere else to go and nothing else to do, I set my knights out to kill Strahd’s agents and anyone else who might help to ease Strahd’s torment. We have lost our honor and nobility and therefore we are enraged. 

Mr. Greenleaf - Backing behind Skorn as requested but still speaking around him "Why don't you just stop being so scared and help us take him down?"
