As Victoria is saying her piece, something audibly clicks back into place in Tefkae's arm, and faint glow of her eyes dimmed back to normal. "Indeed. Technically speaking, we seem to be the result of a fracturing of realms, and have sense banded together. Might we now come in? Or do you intend to show unnecessary rudeness to this party?" The Dwarf-sized manhunter calmly asked the Scholar, but with an ominous sound clicking in their arm once more.

The scholar looks at each person in a mixture of awe and curiosity. "Travellers... so these stories might be true..." She says absentmindedly, then snaps back to the present. "Oh, yes, come in. I haven't cleaned in a while, so feel free to sit where you find somewhere." She looks to Sailor. "I believe I have read about these animals, Jer-Bill if I'm not mistaken. I thought they would be smaller."
Headed into the scholar's house, there are spots to sit if you move used plates and splayed out books. In a glass cabinet on the far side of the room is a taxidermy project on a cat, as well as a series of scrawled notes in illegible handwriting pinned to a noticeboard with white string tied to pins over it. The scholar goes from dreary-eyed and tired to suddenly excited and energetic, grabbing a book with blank pages and an inkwell with quill. She sits down in front of the group. "I have so many questions about the realm outside of the town." She says. "We have so many old tomes that seem all too contradictory. It is so hard to determine what is fact and what is fiction."
Zack looks over the taxidermy project. It doesn't appear to be necromancy in the traditional sense. It appears to be more an examination of the feline body, so dissection and more scientific approach. He notes that with the scrawls on the paper by the body there are some diagrams that seem to denote organs and other bits and bobs.
If he would like to roll any of the following to work out additional information, he may do so. Unfortunately comprehend languages doesn't work on terrible handwiritng, as it is already in a known language.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As soon as he figures out that the taxidermy has nothing to do with necromancy or souls, he loses most of the interest. Zack takes a glance at the notes and thinks to himself that it won't hurt to at least try and read the notes even though it doesn't relate much to actually uncovering the mysteries of the soul and why intelligent undead act evil even though they body was good;
From what Zack can see, it appears to be some sort of catalog of the cat's organs and positions. It is some form of attempt to work out the inner workings of a living creature, similar to some worlds have done in a pursuit of science.
Zack walks away from the taxidermy since it no longer interests him. He doesn't answer, preferring to let the others do the talking. He doesn't sit, he remains standing near the party.
Mr. Pepper stays outside, seeming to prefer or been ordered again to keep vigil from atop the Scholar's home. As for his mistress(master?), the construct is enraptured by every note passed or seen once inside. "Realms."Tefkae corrected after having just completed her initial scanning of the room. "There are realms. More, it seems, then the eight or so known by most from my own. None at all mentioning a place this."Their gaze at which point appears to linger on any of the visibly older tomes scattered about the room. "Conclusion? Your 'realm' appears to be something of a nexus point. Or, a cosmic sinkhole in which various 'Travelers' and 'Wayward Souls' may find themselves. Or perhaps even a creation of 'The Event'."
Tefkae pauses there, tapping her chin plate in thought. "Hm. Might we see these too foremost contradictory tomes?" Their request is followed by a sharp look in Zack's direction. "If you would assist this one, it would appreciated."

Tefkae turns fully now to Zack, and crosses their arms over their chest plates. "Indubitably! Over the past few days, I have been observing everyone at varying lengths, and have determined that you would be the most suitable to aid in this task."They replied in a matter of fact tone. "Despite your attempts to remain largely unassuming to presumably avoid your particular interest warranting further questioning."

Ankor squeezes into the living quarters. His size not lending to a easy time finding somewhere to sit let alone stand amongst the scattered books and dirty dishes. Books never interested him as stories were told by the elders of his clan to teach of past events and traditions, something he has linked to this scholar as her job of passing information to those who need to know of the past. He will find a corner to stand in and try not to knock anything over. Listen and if he has any questions he'll ask

Zack rubs the back of his head and says, "Well... It's not that I was trying to repel attention away from myself. I just like keeping to myself and let the others do the talking. What kind of help do you need from me?"
Tefkae cocks her head to the side for a moment, then straightens out again. "You remind me of someone. But is neither here nor there. In answer, it is to examine whatever material The Scholar, if any, provides for us to study to match against our personal understanding of the realms. As well as to find potential clues that this thus far have eluded this one-..."They gestures over to the Scholar. "-due to being a 'native' of this plane."

"Fascinating..." The scholar seems to have started taking notes of the group's conversation. She looks over each in detail, checking faces, body shape and sizes, looking meticulously at every detail. "Some of the lore of the travellers described them as being something drastically different. I didn't think you would look so much like us, nor even be able to communicate with us."
"Oh, this is where it gets interesting." The scholar says, seemingly eager to talk about the subject. "There are conflicting tales about travellers. Some say they were winged and hailed from the skies. However, one of the other scripts states that they were similar to the guardian creatures they brought with them." She points to the taxidermy cat in the case. "There are other stories of people who travelled without lanterns who would go and defeat great beasts for glory, rather than safety or protection. Isn't it fascinating?"
Zack closes his eyes and his face kind of wrinkles as he tries to match the descriptions of travelers to the various humanoid races he knows of. He puts a finger to the side of his head and says, "Winged people from the sky could be Aarakocra... People that look like cats... I can't think of anything other than Tabaxi... I don't know about the third type though. Who can see in thick fog?"

Zack gets too curious and instead of sitting, he walks over to observe the taxidermy project.

"Arrow-coh... Err, how do you spell those?" The scholar asks, avidly writing notes.
Zack tries to think of how to spell that. He always struggled with these things. "A... Uh... A-a...c...o...k...r-a. I think that's how you spell it."
