"Haah," Nadia let's out a breath after a successful shot on the last ghoul, taking a second to look around the area once again to make sure nothing else was going to pop out from the walls... or the ground for that matter before heading over to regroup with everyone else. "You guys okay?" She questions generally then looks to the dragonborn. "They seemed to really want a piece of you today though, hopefully it doesn't become a running gag with these undead things... But, we gotta carry on, yeah? Ready to move or you need a second?"
When the others confirm that they are good to go, Nadia leads them to where ghoul 3 came out of, bow at the ready.
It takes every once of willpower, but after which, Nadaar stops short of stomping down on one of the ghoul's head for good measure. "... It's only going to get toughier from here." He warns as he looks to his shoulder and gave it a few test pokes. After wincing a few times he stops with a gruff sounding "Hmph"and regards the passage ahead. "But I am however fine, Lady Nadia. Your concern is however appreciated. Although I confess, I hope it does not become a running gag. I would at least like to acquire some half-plate at some point. At least then I'd feel a bit better about recieving so much attention, being more prominent figure to deal with, as it were... *ahem*... But in any case, I concur. Let's be on." And indeed, Nadaar looked fairly confident in spite of everything. Although going forward he intended to keep a few choice wordsever on his lips going forward.
Zack for once, hadn't been targeted at all, which felt funny to him. he didn't count the one that came from below. Patting Nadaar on the head to avoid hitting anything that had been attacked recently. Zack considered saying something about using him as a shield and how it wasn't fun being the center of attention, but knew that would just lead to the usual "What are you trying to say? Stupid human" so the words died in his mouth, instead turning to Nadia and saying Yeah, I'm good. Nice shots Nadia, you're gettin' more confident in your aim shooting apples off our heads! But yeah, no point in stopping. Lets keep moving. And yeah - It'll get tougher from here. was the only thing Nadaar said that he responded to that he was sure wouldn't trigger the dragonborn.
Zack himself readied himself to Help someone if they were attacked to give disadvantage to the attacker.
You start heading down the tunnel and see that it almost immediately starts to fork. Both tunnels reek of rotting flesh but otherwise appear identical. Much like the previous areas the floor is sand and the walls solid stone with blood spattered about at random.
Unless Zack goes out of his way to be sly in the approach, attempting to pat Nadaar's head is met with a warding hand, dragonborn head jerking back, and a raised brow ridge of confusion. Although even if he had been, Nadar is quick to jerk his head away and warily eye the human. "I am fine, Zack. No need to fuss further. Besides, I am certain none struck my head. But, the thought concern is... appreciated." He said awkwardly some point after, hoping to have mollified the human.
Some time later, and seeing the path divided, Nadaar gives them only a once over before pointing towards the left most path. "Unless the Lady Nadia would like to scout ahead again, my vote is left here. THat is, at least two of us should advance a ways just to see if the paths don't just converge after a few meters."

Zack would shake his head in disagreement. For once, I think we should stick together. Out in the open you can close a distance if shit happens. Here, if something happens to someone you won't know exactly where they are, and by the time you can help them it may be too late. But I agree with Nadaar, lets go left (nearest the Z) and if we waste a little time, we waste a little time safely. Nadia's got the eyes to see what we can't, and as long as I keep light on the blade... the rest of us can see enough nearby.
You all head down the left most tunnel, the light helping the visually challenged among you not trip over your feet and Nadias keen eyes leading the way. The stench of death surrounds you, but other than causing upset stomachs it has no other affects. Eventually Nadia halts the group once again, this time the tunnel forks in three directions, one to the east, another to the north, and one to the west.
Zack would nod. Yeah, lets keep our hand along one wall as it were. Its a trick to keep your bearings when in an unfamiliar location, as you'll eventually circle around instead of getting lost. he'd give her an affirming shoulder-grab before letting go. And should they pass by the other two 'exits' he would spare them both a cursory glance, maintaining his readiness to intervene on a surprise attack.
You all continue down the west passage, the tunnel winds briefly before coming to yet another fork. Nadia, at this point you realize you haven't seen the tracks in some time, though you remember the tracks leading to the first set of forks. It's almost as If the tracks had been covered up or perhaps you've gone the wrong way. Regardless of what the case may be, you do see a rather large track heading to the left. This is not something made by a carriage, but something else you can't identify. The track leads down the path to the left. (Her left right on the map)
"Another fork in the road," She mentions to the rest of them, moving up just enough for them to squeeze in and see the path ways before pointing the tracks out to them. "I can't figure out what made that kind of a trail, but its certainly not made by a carriage... It could be a distraction... get us to another fight or... it could actually lead us to where we need to go." The ranger turns to them briefly. "I'll let one of you decide this time."
"If its trouble, better we deal with it now. For if the culprit we seek can summon to its side, we may find ourselves hemmed in trying to deal with it." Nadaar quietly commented. "That said, the same can be of our target... though either way, we would need to cleanse this place." The Dragonborn grumbled and mentally kicked himself for not taking the time to summon Wonder. "I... say we take it. But, either of you two--" He looks to Angar and Zack. "Feel otherwise -- perhaps with us back tracking and searching the other paths, I would rather go along with yours than waste our time arguing about 'ifs'."

Zack simply looked between the two and shrugged. I agree, we should look into it, though if that footprint is anything to go by it's something big. Same reason I wanted our backs covered before. he resists shooting Nadaar a glance. Better to have it out of the way than risk facing whatever this creature is with a monstrosity at our back too. Angar nods in agreement with Zack, saying Better we clear the danger now if there is any. Would rather not get snuck up on later. With everyone seemingly in agreement, Nadai leads the party off to the left, following the large tracks in the sand. As you get closer it becomes obvious that particular fork connects to itself, but there is another path further off to the right. However investigating the remaining path is put on hold until this section has been cleared. Moving up to the collum of stone Nadia peeks her head around the corner looking for whatever might have left the giant track in the sand.
As she does, Nadia sees a pile of slim covered bones strewn about an open area. The sand here has been made into what looks like some sort of nest with the bones and bits of rotten corpses inside. For only a second Nadia thinks that whatever is nesting here is away, until she notices slime oozing from the ceiling. Looking up she shes a large worm like creature hanging from the ceiling. With pale skin and multiple legs and tentacles wriggling by its tooth maw, and clear pale eyes staring right at her. It drops from the roof of the cave, landing right in the nest and pushes towards Nadia to attack.
The creatures tentacles thrash about wildly and one of them hits Nadia square in the chest. The poison barbs pierce Nadias skin, and she feels the poison quickly start to take affect as her movement is limited and then suddenly halted. Zack and Nadaar would recognize this has been the same thing that happened to Nadaar earlier. As Nadia is now Paralyzed, she is unfortunately an easy target for the large beast as its toothy maw comes down on her, biting into abdomen and tearing off a bloody chunk of flesh. The pain is such that Nadia is able to slowly start willing herself to move again despite the poison, but unfortunately it takes time.
In the mean time Angar finishes an incantation and points to the beast. A wave of necromatic energy engulfs the creature as moisture and vitality are drained from it. However it seems the creature, well nourished from all the death in these caves, is resisting the effects of the spell.
Initiative order is CC, Nadia, Angar, Zack, Nadaar.
Zack was following along, his eyes keeping a level gaze, looking only ahead or down, expecting more attacks from below or in front. With Nadia leading the way as she tracked whatever this creature was. Zack had limited his breathing to his mouth, to at-least help staunch the scent a little. He was takign full advantage of the position despite the situation and whenever he'd look to the ground, he would linger his gaze on the apple before him. Eventually they wound their way down a tunnel only to find that it held another connector path, and in that moment of distraction, whatever this worm-thing was, dropped down, the thud of its landing, no mater how soft drawing his attention. As he tries to shoulder the creature but it's serpentine movements make it hard to stop, luckily for him but unfortunate for her.. it's focus remained on her.
As the creature was assailed by Angar, Zack took that moment to sheathe his weapon across his back, then to grab Nadia, arms beneath her breasts, and bum to carry her vertically, to not risk knocking her head into a wall as he spun, putting his back to the beast before moving her as far back away from it as possible. I got you sweetheart. he said as he tensed, expecting a blow as he left the creatures range.

As Zack flees with Nadia in his arms he feels one of the crawlers tentacles slam him in the back. The poison from the barbs entered his blood but Zacks superior constitution prevents him from fall under the same affects as Nadia and Nadaar.
Nadaar meanwhile rushs forward to take their place and in an elegant motion brings his scimitars down on the beast. Unfortunately however the blades fail to cut through the creatures hide.
In retaliation the crawler attacks Nadaar with tentacle and tooth. The tentecal slaps Nadaar across the snout like a jilted lover and with seemingly more force than seems possible. The poison quickly enters Nadaars veins but doesn't seem to affect him. Instead Nadaar feels the poison in the area where he normally feel his acid build up right before a breath attack. He feels as though he might be able to summon another spout of acid if he wanted. His thoughts are interrupted however as Nadaar quickly dodges put of the way of the creatures mouth as it tries to bite him.

How quick they were to get her out of the way, she unable to move, but able to see that just as she got lifted up by Zack, Nadaar and Angar had sprung into action. By the time the two had reached a safe distance away from the crawler, she was able to move her arm, a hand going to grip on Zack's forearm around her to give him some indication that she was okay and he could let her go. The rest of her body was soon responsive to her brains commands, and finally she could release a breath she had been holding since paralysis. Assuming he sets her down on her feet, she turns to give him a thankful smile. "Thank you for getting me out of there so swiftly, my hero~"She coos lowly, teasingly, just for his ears alone. "... Zack winces as the tentacle strikes true having seen enough ****** to know where that was going to go but pressed on, having expected to take a hit. Hoping his sword would have blocked it but to no avail. He shifts around the corner long enough for Nadia to be out of harms way, and sets her down carefully on her feet, the only flirting he did was to ruffle her hair with a smile, though there was some concern in the background of his expression that faded when she reacted and responded. It has been the adrenaline coursing through him that saved him from the same fate, most likely, that or the desire to protect?
Regardless Who knows? Maybe I did, maybe I didn't? But no, I didn't I figured we'd save that for later~ But Glad you're good. And aye, I'm fine. It stings but it doesn't really hurt... he avoided mentioning her own wound, let he remind her and the pain course back through her. let the adrenaline keep hr focused atleast until this is over... he thought to himself.
I know you will. I trust you. he said before charging back into the fray, in hopes of gettign behind the creature if at all possible, that same wind he had been channeling before swirling around his blade, and as he passed the creature or, got to where he could his blade would strike out, attempting to insert that same explosive, sonic energy into the disgusting beast, and.. if possible, move away from it at-least five feet.

having seen enough ****** to know where that was going to gobut pressed on, having expected to take a hit. It has been the adrenaline coursing through him that saved him from the same fate, most likely, that or the desire to protect?Regardless Who knows?
