Nadia's hear sank when she sees the body not there, face palming while lowly groaning to herself, "Yeah... Ugh, ****, I should've expected this... Cabróna." With a heavy (and very annoyed) sigh, she follows Zack's instruction in waiting for a minute to pass with her bow at the ready had his assumption been correct. If any enemies come, it was probably because of the noise...El es lindo, pero no puede ser sigiloso. Le echaré la culpa a la estúpida armadura. El ve mejor sin eso de todos modos.
Nadaar sighs and drew both of his his scimitars. "I suppose it would be too much to ask this is merely a case of a changing of the guard." He whispered to noone in particularly. "Assuming this alcove is not a trap in itself, it is not a bad plan. But between dying like rat and dying like a fool... hm... Hlal would find the latter more amusing, I will admit. So, my vote is advance deeper and be done with it all. Could be they heard us or saw the light anyhow. So, if they are to entrap us, only in retreat and in hope we can avoid it at this point."
He said. "And we will not endure a seige well. Nor is it guaranteed there are no other exits here... But, I defer to you two." Nadaar looks to Nadia and Zack at that point. As much as he appeared a bit reticient to wait in the alcove, the Dragonborn knew better to be too divisive in so dangerous a situation.
Zack didn't like the idea of being exposed that much, but Nadaar also had a point. It could be as much of a boon as it could be a bane. he thought to himself. Finally relenting after another few moments of Fair enough.. you have a point. But at the same time, out here, they can simply surround us. But if we're pressing forward..... Lets get it over with. I'm being as quiet as I can but with how waterlogged my armor is it's very difficult. For now lets keep assumign we havent been discovered and moving... but should a fight come.... I'll charge to the front.
Should everyone be amicable to the plan of continuing through the 'topmost' passage, Zack will continue following behind Nadia unless an enemy appears to notice them obviously. And should that happen, and he see more than 3 enemies, he will have "Cleave" at the ready.
(Sorry phone dying have to keep short) Nadia and co head across to check the other passage but as you get closer it becomes clear this is another alcove. It appears to be empty.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“This place gives me the creeps,” Nadia mentions lowly, looking less than pleased at the empty alcove. There probably were bodies here but they got snatched up or something, like our buddy at the other alcove...
The cave walls are just that, walls of a cave. They are damp and solid stone but nothing else is remarkable about them. The ground is loose sand spattered with dry blood, but otherwise appears normal. Of there was anything in here recently then you are seeing no evidence of that. As far as you can tell this is just a dead end.
Nadaar emits a throaty rumble that by now the group has to some extent learned its correlation to be deep thought out of the dragonborn. "... Hard to say we're being fortunate or not so far. But either way, all paths seem to be in a southerly(westerly?) direction." He squints down the path and into the gloom. For just a brief second, something caught his eyes, causing them to widen in surprise.
But after a few blinks and using his forearm to rub at his eyes, the Dragonborn huffs. "... In any case, onwards then. To see where our little body snatcher has gone off to." Nadaar requests, shunting aside all thought on previous imaginings.

You all continue down the cave tunnel which leads into a large open cavern. Off to the left you can see the tunnel that leads to the exit, and in the middle of the room you see the tracks that continue ahead. With Nadia taking the lead, you all start following the tracks, given that there is no where else to go. As you get towards the center of the room, Nadia sees movement up head. She quickly stops as does the party. From the edge of your dark vision. You see a pale corpse with sharp teeth and claws shambling you're direction. You recognize this as the corpse you saw earlier. Just as you're about to fire an arrow, Nadaar sees corpses burst out of the ground near by. At the same time Zack notices the sand underneath his feet starting to give way. He looks down to inspect it and as he realizes what is about to happen he moves his feet out of the way just as a clawed hand bursts forth from the sand.
Those of you who saw all this coming (and specified readied actions) make your reactions. Nadia fires an arrow at the one directly ahead (3), her arrow striking it hard in the chest. For a moment the creature reels back but it does not fall. Zack meanwhile swings his blade down at the hand that came for him, the creatures head just now poking out of the sand. Unfortunately for him, the sudden shift of his position threw him off, and attacking directly underneath him is not something he has had to do before. His blade strikes uselessly in the sand next to the creature. Nadaar did not specify any readied actions at any point so he simply draws his weapons. Angar is surprised.

4->Nadaar: Attack: 18 Damage: 6
As the Ghoul claws it's way from the dirt, #4 shambles over to Nadaar in an attempt to slash him with its exceptionally sharp claws. However it seemed Hlal had something a bit sillier in mind for the Dragonborn. The Ghoul trips over it's own feet and lands face first in the sand in front of Nadaar, opening it up for an easy attack later.

Even though her arrow didn't take down her target, it at least made it so that she could at least see where else the enemies were coming from. Seeing as they were getting, waaay to close for comfort, she still not too confident in her close quarters fighting, the ranger moves away from the main group just a few feet before firing off another two shots at 3!

Ghoul #3 goes down looking like a target dummy as the next two arrows strike it in the chest. A talented marksman would be complementing Nadias grouping under different circumstances but for now she would have to be happy with the fact the creature was dead. Or at least deader.
Ghoul two runs over to Angar, intending to claw his face right off. However at the last moment it decides it wouldn't want to attack the human and instead attacks Nadaar. Its claws slash across his back painfully, and as the Dragonborn starts to react his body goes stiff until he in unable to move at all as he is paralyzed. Nadaar stands there unable to move for a brief moment until he suddenly starts to regain motion limb by limb. Zack is up.

Zack pulls the sword out of the ground, having gone for a downward thrust but it was buried deeper than he though and his aim had been off. Seeing that the creature was still stuck in the ground, he shifted over to give himself a better angle, both to hit, and to not also slash his allies, Nadaar and or Nadia. Shifting closer to Nadaar defensively, but surprised he didn't hear any comments of "I don't require aid, human" or something long those lines. Taking a moment, Zack, using the light from his blade lines up where the creature is, before coming down in an overhead chop, the blue flames that would normally be there were replaced instead by an odd pulsing, like a forcefield around the blade itself.. or perhaps pinions of wind?
Attack: 15 Damage: 10
If the blade connects, the weird energy would flow around the undead creature itself, entering it's body, and thrumming.. as if in wait.
Zack uses Booming Blade on #1 before looking to Nadaar, saying Are you ok? What are you standin' around for? the first out of somewhat legitimate concern, the latter out of curiosity, in case it was some long cast time spell.
Ghoul #1 takes a nasty cut to the face from Zacks blade, the magical wind entering its body through the wound. As the Ghoul tries to claw it's way out of the ground a muffled, wet exploding sound can he heard and sand and dirt around the creature is sent flying off in every direction. As the dust settles the Ghoul can be seen lying half burries in the sand which is wet with fresh blood.
Zack, as you look over to Nadaar you see him slowly regaining movement in his limbs. It's clear something has affected him but it seems to be wearing off. The Ghoul at his feet is starting to get up and is back on its feet before Nadaar is fully able to move. With a snarl the undead monster lunges at the dragonborn in an attempt to sink its teeth in his flesh. Finding success in this attack, the Ghoul manages to tear and devour a decent sized chunk of Nadaars flesh right off his shoulder.

Nadia's attention is diverted back to the boys when she hears the explosion, worry hitting her like a weight to her chest, but is relieved to see it wasn't anything to fret over. Just a now dead ghoul, thankfully, though Nadaar did look a bit odd... Maybe it was the angle? Wait-- "Nadaar--!" She calls out in warning of the undeads attack, but it was too late as now the ghoul sunk its teeth into his flesh. Without a second thought, she raises her bow and shoots at 4 to get him off her ally!

Nadaar feels his movement fully returned to him as the ghouls claws scrape across his back. The Ghoul in front of him looks ready to drop.

In the moment after asking his question, realization dawned on him that Nadaar was for whatever reason, paralyzed. You ok?! he said, but not skipping a beat. Seeing that Nadia had the front most one handled most likely, he chose to take the one coming from behind.

The freezing cold beam strikes the Ghoul right in the chest sending it stumbling back before it crumbles to the ground in a ice cold pile of flesh.
The final Ghoul looks as though it's ready to jump at Zack and start tearing flesh from bone in retaliation for the previous strike. However before it could do anything an arrow strikes it right between the eyes and the creature falls back limply. A few moments of silence follow as the party waits for another enemy to make itself known, however no such thing occurs and it seems combat is over for the time being.
