"Thank you for the information Barthan." Torwen will turn and leave. When everyone is outside he will ask: "What do you think? Maybe check the Miners Exchange and see if there may be anything else here before we check the tunnel tonight? Maybe we should avoid the sleeping giant place though."
Faywin agrees "Sure let's go find this miners exchange; Didn't someone want me to detect magic on the Frog statue? I should do that before we get to the exchange. They may be interested in purchasing it and we need to know if it is magical?"
Faywin - you spend some time contemplating the statue and determine that it is not magical. It is just a nicely carved jade figurine. ((It is worth 40gp))
After Faywin completes his ritual, the party heads south towards the Miner's Exchange. It is just south of the Coster on the east side of the road. As you approach, you notice that it seems fairly busy compared to the other businesses you've seen. Reaching the entrance, the door opens and two gnomes hurry out, ignoring you completely and chattering between themselves, both staring at the heavy looking pouch they carry.
"Looks lively." Kierro remarks. He opens the door for the party and waits in line with them. Once they reach the front of the line: "Hello sir," (or ma'am, as applicable), "We found a nicely-carved jade figurine, and were told we could sell it here."
The woman at the counter is human, dressed in all black. Her flaming red hair is braided into a tidy bun on her head and she smiles, though it doesn't reach her eyes. "A jade figurine?" she says. "Well, we deal more in raw materials, but let me have a look," she says, holding out her hand. As she does, her eyes narrow. "You're new in town, yes? I don't recognize you," she says, her eyes flitting over the entire party.
"Yes we were employed by Gundren to bring a wagon full of supplies and deliver to Barthen, though we did get distracted by a band of goblins that have been terrorizing the caravans in the area. They also seemed to have kidnapped Gundren and we hope to mount a rescue operation in the next day or so, but it appears the town itself is having it's own issues with a band of cutthroats called the Redshirt's or Red...something or other, I have it in my notes here somewhere." As Victor opens up a journal and starts to rummage around through the pages getting lost in thought.
Her eyes widen, then narrow. "You are going to mount a rescue operation against a band of goblins?" she asks with surprise. She nods as Victor continues, then says, "The Redbrands are indeed a blight on this town. You lot seem capable enough. Interested in a paying job?" she asks.
Her eyes narrow and she nods. "It seems so. Well, if you're interested in more coin, I've a job for you. Let me know when you've cleared your plate, so to speak," she says. She looks down at the figurine, immediately more business-like. "It's a nice piece, well-made, but I don't know who could afford that around here. I can pay you 30gp for it," she says.

“Sounds good to me.”
Smiling Victor chimes in, "I have no other pressing business to do today, so a walk around town would be pleasant, shall we?"
Torwen is looking for the Miners Exchange
Faywin agrees "Sure let's go find this miners exchange; Didn't someone want me to detect magic on the Frog statue? I should do that before we get to the exchange. They may be interested in purchasing it and we need to know if it is magical?"
Torwen will give the frog statue to Faywin so he can detect magic in it if any.

Kierro nods politely. “Yes, we’re new in town.”
"What you brings you to sleepy little Phandalin?" she asks.
“We were escorting a wagon of goods here for Barthen.” Kierro says, handing her the statue. “From what I’ve seen so far, it’s a nice town.”

"Maybe, but not now ; we have a lot ahead of us at the moment."

“Thank you; we’ll keep that in mind. 30 gp sounds good, what do you guys think?” Kierro says, turning to ask his companions.
((Since we've lost Faywin, do any of you know someone who would be interested in joining the party? If not, I can put out a forum request))
EDIT: I've got someone, just working out the details to add them to the party.
"30gp sounds fine to me, I believe it to be a fair price." Victor answers.
