Amorilan - as you examine the tracks more closely, you can tell that there are tracks of both humans and bugbears. You also spot some prints that look like they belong to children, going into the tunnel.
Amorilan's face drops... "It... it looks like some of these tracks belong to children. This could mean one of two things... either they are using children to do their dirty work, or... they are kidnapping children. Both are very worrisome... The bandits appear to be mostly men, and bugbears. Very active...must move quickly, but keep an eye out behind us."
"It's horrible. Hopefully it's just Pip and Carp's footsteps from exploring; I dread it being anything else. I wouldn't put it past them; they killed a man in broad daylight if the town rumors are to be believed." Kierro follows behind the elf while glancing behind them occasionally.
As you head down the tunnel, you begin to see a faint glow at the other end. The tunnel is about 100 ft long and as you near the light, you can see a large cavern, with a crevasse that divides it. The crevasse is flanked by two rough stone columns that support the twenty-foot-high ceiling. Two arched wooden bridges span the chasm. As you draw closer, you feel a cold breeze, and carrying with it the faint scent of decaying flesh.
Victor shivers from the cold and then whispers out, "I do not like this place, we are too open here." And will try to see if he notices anyone hiding in the area.
Kierro - looking at the bridges closely, they seem old and rickety, and neither have railings, just slats laid across the crevasse. You notice that the southern bridge is indeed trapped - it looks like if anything heavy tries to cross, it will collapse.
Victor - you look around, but it is just too shadowy for you to determine anything.
”I’m not sure the bridges are safe to cross. Both of them seem old, there’s a possibility of us losing our balance and falling, and the south bridge looks like it can’t support any weight at all. I suggest we find a way to brace the bridges, go back and find something to help us across, or possibly get a rope attached and swing across.”
Amorilan - looking closely at the tracks, the adult human tracks seem to go in many directions, except the south bridge. The child-sized tracks seem to head east, while the bugbear tracks seem to head west. As you near the southern bridge, you can see that the crevasse is not that deep, and is likely passable just by climbing in and out.
"We should avoid the southern bridge. Not tracks leading that way. Man tracks everywhere else. The children seem to have headed east, while the bugbear tracks lead west. It looks like we can still cross to the south, ans the crevasse is not to treacherous."
Room 8 - the crevasse. Bridge to the north and south, a hallway leading east and another west. The tunnel you entered from is the south hallway in the image.
As you descend into the crevasse, you notice that the bottom of it feels unnaturally cold. Strewn around the bottom are half-gnawed bones of various creatures, including the half-eaten body of a human man. As you climb down, you all suddenly hear something. "Food?" the strange voice whispers. You look around, but realize the voice is in your heads. You hear a cackle that suddenly cuts off. "Bring food?" The question is followed by more gibberish and cackling. "Hunger. . ." it says, trailing off.

"Pip and Carp? They acquaintances of yours?"
"Yes. They are children who live nearby; they're the ones who told us about the secret tunnel."
"Hopefully they've not been hurt. Shall we proceed?" Amorilan heads down the tunnel...

Kierro looks toward the bridges - do they look strong enough to support a person? Are there any signs of traps?

((Can I look to see if the tracks go over the bridge, or if they go somewhere else?))

"Let's cross the crevasse, shall we?"
Victor chimes in, "You are the expert, lets do this."
Kierro leads the group down the incline at the south part of the crevasse and then climbs up to the other side.
As you descend into the crevasse, you notice that the bottom of it feels unnaturally cold. Victor looks around horrified and then attempts to crawl out of the crevice as quickly as possible.
