OOC: Someone should catch Hox up on the situation in character while you travel to Bohmar's. We've learned a lot of information.
With Hox in tow once more, the party crosses the uncomfortably quiet city. Visibly uncomfortable, and much worse at pretending to be someone else than Rycider, Ser Mary spends most of the time scanning the surroundings and fuming when you pass by two of the craters.
After a short time, you reach Bohmar's Apothecary, little more than a shack sitting in a rundown portion of the city. It looks poorly decorated in a churchlike manner, as if someone tried and gave up halfway through.
Killian smiles at Hox. "Good to see you, little dragon. We are joined by more to stand against the slaad," she nods backwards to the assembled motley group. "We go to see the odd dwarf, let us fill you in on the way. You have something for us to read?"
Gruun walks to the front of the door and banging loudly on the door. He gestures to Rycider and Ser Mary to take a few steps back. When Bohmar answers the door he will ask, "Cleric, what do all creatures need that few of the them drink?" He keeps his greataxe ready while asking but not obviously so.
While walking Gruun will speak in shirt simple terms to Hox, "These are friends working with Ritska and Roccar. The Slaadi are still attacking so right now we are keeping that one safe." gesturing to Ser Mary
Hox hands the document to Killian. It is a deed to a land within a region called the Thay. Hox nods as Gruun explains, "Friends of clan man and horny lady...even the gnome? And toads are back? Hox thought ship fire on city with booms, many booms. We have to keep lady away from booms...seem easy, Hox will listen."
OOC: Lol, great autocorrect. Gruun stepping into religion is a twist I did not expect.
The door is answered by a scruffy dwarf, familiar to some: Bohmar Brineboots, looking like anything but a man who runs an apothecary. "Water! Err...blood, I mean. Was it blood or water? Me gut says blood, but blood don't seem...bah! It's safe, get yer arses in here," he spits.
For Wes:
The apothecary looks as it did when you were last here, and the dwarf looks to be the only occupant.
"Now what indeed. Am I to hide here then, cowering behind this oaf of a dwarf while you figure out what is happening?" Ser Mary asks.
Bohmar feigns offense, "Whoa now, I'm all for bein' insulted, but at least introduce all yerselfs to me afore ye do."
Ser Mary scowls. "Look a little closer, Bohmar Brineboots. It's nice to see that while the rest of us are using our abilities to keep this world alive, you're here in Luskan selling fake potions to gullible commoners. A worse cleric I've never traveled with," she scoffs.
Bohmar's eyes widen as he peers at the suddenly familiar person standing before him. "Aha! Ser Mary herselfs, of course I recognized ye. Yep, this is Bohmar Brineboots' Apothecary, and if ye don't like it ye can shove it." He pauses, looking at the rest of the party he hasn't yet met for the first time. "Well? Who are the rest o' ye?"
Replying to Ser Mary’s complaints. “I have no doubt of your burning desire to fight in the frontline. It’s commendable. But this just isn’t a battle, this has been a war... a chess match. And when you’re in the endgame, you don’t leave your king exposed. If you fall, we all fall. This is something I can not allow. I know it’s against your nature, but it must be this way.”
Petubia begins to try and nuzzle and snuggle up to Ser Mary. “Petunia will keep you company.”
Killian turns to Rycider. “We need to draw the enemy out. Can you disguise someone to look like Ser Mary, as you did to make her look like anyone but?”

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
“Not to be the naysayer but I have to stress how not ok I am with this idea Ry. Not to even mention the necessity it would require of splitting the party up, the idea of getting your ass in a position to be exploded doesn’t play a happy note to my ears. There has to be a better way. Magic to set the hook, so to speak?”

"Ahm not certain on the plan either," replies Rycider. "What would be gained by mah deception? Apart from Ser Marys safety, which is paramount, what is thah big picture here?"
Killian, not the sharpest tool in the arsenal, nevertheless sighs. "They are not looking to immolate Ser Mary, they do it to themselves when they look like her. They are looking for her, and need her alive, or so we have been told. And while I appreciate the comedy in seeing them decapitate an illusion, I worry they will detect the magic at work. We should do just as we did coming here, only shepherd one of us as Ser Mary instead, and attract as much attention as we may, all together, to draw them out."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rycider will look Ser Mary up and down, gauging the likelihood of successfully disguising herself as Ser Mary without the use of magic. What is the height difference etc

Rycinder guides Ser Mary inside.
Thank you muh dear man
Aradurk looks around at the entry point. “Karst - Make sure the group is secure and I will make sure no one is following us.”
Aradurk will wait a moment at the door, peering out against all visible ingress and egress routes, then quietly close and lock the door.

Rycider Pillerton muh dear, but such a handsome gentleman can call me Ricky she tells Bohmar
Now if y'all don't mind I shall be havin' a brief respite as ah do believe some of mah innards may be bruised.
And with that Ricky finds a corner to sit down in and casts Healing Word at third level on herself: 10

Aye I can states Rycider, taking on Ser Mary's brogue.
